Oritz -- Ernest L. Ortiz, 52, passed away at home on Tuesday May 8, 2001. He served in the armed forces as a combat medic in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Jessie Ortiz , two sons and one daughter Christopher Ortiz, Herman Ortiz and wife Dina , and Andrea Gallegos . Seven grandchildren , Zachary, Brianna, Damian, Alexis, Isacc, Santana and Adrain. His father Arthur Ortiz , three brothers and two sisters; Albert Ortiz and wife Sadie, Arthur and wife Rose, Johnny, Lupe and husband Vincent Alice and husband Elmer. Numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in the Stover Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at St. Therese Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Cordova, James Gurule, Raymond Moya , Gilbert Gallegos Jr., Louis Ortiz and Pat Moya . Honorary Pallbearer will be Abel Mendez. Funeral Service are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW,243-5222.
