Mckinney -- Daniel H. McKinney, age 46, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 1998 at Presbyterian Hospital after a long illness. He is survived by his parents, Oliver Sr. and Lucy McKinney of Albuquerque; six brothers, Oscar and wife, Bertha, Charles Sr. and wife, Jackie, Oliver Jr. and wife, Bonnie, John and wife, Gloria, Samuel and wife, Brenda, Jerome and wife, Lyll; three sisters, Lucy Parlor, Elizabeth McKinney, Lavinia and husband, Thomas (Chico) Young; one aunt, Margaret Hill; two uncles, Willis Hill, Warrick Hill; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of close friends and church members. He was a member of Bethesda S.D.A. Church. Services will be at Heights S.D.A. Church, 4920 Wyoming NE, on Sunday, September 6, 1998 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on September 8, 1998 at Sunset Gardens, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.

Haralson -- Floy C. Haralson, 100, passed away on May 29, 1998. She is survived by her brother, George B. Cooper and wife, Callie R. of Albuquerque; nephews, Austin W. Cooper of Albuquerque, Thomas D. Cooper and wife, Laura of McKinney, TX, John R. Cooper and wife, Mary Jo of Tyler, TX; nieces, Ann York and husband, John of Portland, OR, Marian Ray of Deming, Evelyn Day and husband, Jim of Clermont Harbor, MS, Katherine Jo Gerhard of Ozark, MO, and Patsy Jean Tew of Beaumont, TX; and numerous members of the Haralson and Cooper families. Mr. Haralson preceded her in death in 1976. She was born on March 29, 1898 in Nebo, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), the daughter of Robert L. and Maud B. Cooper. In 1904, the family moved to Roswell, Chaves County, where she grew up, graduating from Roswell High School in 1917. She married Edgar Lee Haralson of Roswell in 1927 and they lived in Roswell, Santa Fe, and from 1935 on, in Albuquerque. During World War II, they spent several years at Ft. Sumner, managing the housing quarters at that Army installation. Mrs. Haralson worked in several office and bookkeeping positions, the longest of which were the New Mexico Highway Department, the Santa Fe Builders Supply Co., and Strombergs Clothing Co. in Albuquerque. She and her husband were members of the Central United Methodist Church. They both were active in Masonic organizations and activities in Roswell, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque. She was a 50 plus year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Cremation has taken place and interment will be with her husband at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, 924 Menaul NE. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Albuquerque Christian Childrens Home, 5700 Winter Haven Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120. Barreras -- Sosteno A. Barreras, 86, passed away on March 23, 1998 at Plano Medical Center in Plano, TX. Sosteno was born in Mountainair, NM, on September 12, 1911. He moved to Bernalillo, NM in 1924. Shortly after he went to work for the New Mexico Timber Company in Bernalillo. He later met his wife and they got married in January, 1935. He retired from the New Mexico Timber Co. in the later part of 1975. He had 49 years of service to the company, he also worked for Whites Appliance Store in Albuquerque. He and his wife moved to Frisco, TX in August of 1978. He later moved to Melissa, TX after his wife passed away on December 31, 1984. He is survived by a sister, Barbara Gabaldon of Albuquerque; a son, Manuel Barreras (USN Retired) of Bernalillo and now of Albuquerque; and three daughters, Pauline Johnson of McKinney, TX, Rosalie Neeley of Frisco, TX and Marcella Barreras of El Cajon, CA. He had nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several relatives in Bernalillo, Albuquerque, and Mountainair, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Jocobita Barreras; his wife, Ramona Barreras (Dec. 31, 1984); and his oldest son, Jacob (Hank) Barreras (Mar. 27, 1997). He was a good and loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. God Bless You, Daddy! We Love You! For info., contact M. Sadzewicz -- John F. Sadzewicz, born June, 2, 1930 died April, 12, 1998. Survived by sons, John L., Daniel; daughters, Marilyn Sigman, Madonna McKinney, Denise, Felicia and Christine; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Susan.

Lopez -- Frances Sena Lopez, passed away March 15, 1998. Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her husband, Mariano A. Lopez in 1987; three sisters, Pita Tafoya 1970, Mela Smith English 1983, Annie Bolton 1988; and her nephew, Eloy Lopez 1992. Frances, in her lifetime, worked for Hutchinson Fruit Company, Nabisco and Singer. Frances was well known and loved by the member of the American Legion Post 13 through her nephew, Tony Sena and wife, Jutta, a lifetime member, as well by many friends and neighbors. Frances was an aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt. She had numerous nieces and nephews. We want to express sincere thanks to Presbyterian Home Healthcare and St. Therese Church for taking such good care of her. Funeral services for Mrs. Lopez will be held on Wednesday at the St. Therese Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Sena Jr. and Tony Martinez. Visitation for Mrs. Lopez will be held on Tuesday, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., in the mortuary chapel. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Salazar and Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW. am E. Lowe, of Dewey, Arizona, passed away on March 13, 1998. Mr. Lowe was born March 17, 1931 in Mangum, Oklahoma, the son of Shelby and Lorene (Helm) Lowe. Mr. Lowe was a loving husband and father, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked as a self-employed home repairman for many years. He never really retired from it, he enjoyed it. He also spent time as a volunteer at the VA Hospital. He enjoyed this work very much. Mr. Lowe married Mary McIntosth on January 20, 1950 in Gallup, NM. They moved from New Mexico in 1990 to Missouri. In 1991, they moved to Dewey, AZ. He is survived by his wife, Mary O. Lowe of Dewey, AZ; daughter, Laurice Dawn Monaco of Mesa, AZ; sons, Scott Lowe of Mountain View, CA and Steven Lowe of Albuquerque; and two grandchildren. Visitation was held Sunday, March 15, 1998, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Funeral services were held Monday, March 16, 1998, 2:00 p.m., at McKinney Cemetery, Mercer, MO, with Rev. Bob Hanson officiating. Sunrise Funeral Home, Prescott Valley, AZ, was in charge of the arrangements.

Kraus -- Lillian"Sis" Carolyn McKinney Kraus, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 1998. Lillian was the daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn McKinney. She was born in Colton, CA on September 10, 1915. Lillian lived in Eagle Nest, NM in her early days. The family moved to Albuquerque where she lived for 70 years. She was joined in marriage on March 17, 1933 to C.B."Bill" Kraus. They would have celebrated 65 years of marriage this year. Lillian retired from Sandia National Laboratory after working there 30 years. She leaves her beloved husband, Bill; brother, T. Wm."Bill" McKinney and wife, Mary Nell; and numerous nephews and nieces. The family would like to express their gratitude for the kind and considerate care given by the nurses at Lovelace Hospital on floors 400 and 300. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Rd. NE, with Pastor Don Wilson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch, 6209 Hendrix NE 87110. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
