BERTETTO, CATHY LYNN Cathy Lynn Bertetto, 58, of Albuquerque, passed away February 20, 2014. Though she was born in Alton IL, June 13, 1955, she made Albuquerque her home after relocating with her parents in 1957. She graduated from Del Norte High School in 1973. After high school, she continued working for Furrs Supermarket, which became a 30-year career and where she became a long-time member of the Retail Clerks Union. After leaving retail, Cathy started a second career as a realtor where she worked for KB Homes for eight years before retiring. Cathy loved traveling, had elegant taste in home decorating, and centered her life around her friends, her family, and her two cats. Preceding Cathy in death were her parents, Verna and Mike Bertetto JR, brother, Mark Bertetto and nephew, Richard Bertetto. Cathy is survived by her brother, Mike Bertetto and his wife Suzie; sister-in-law, Stacy Bertetto; nephew, Steven Bertetto, his wife Taryn, and their son Landon; and her niece Jennifer Bertetto. As a result of having Marfans Syndrome, Cathy decided to donated her body to the University of New Mexico School of Medicine for research on Marfans. At Cathy's wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 1PM, at her residence, (contact family for the address). Cathy loved her two cats so in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Animal Humane Association.

EHRENS, IRVING "IRV" We mourn the passing of Irving "Irv" W. Ehrens. On March 14, at 10:10 am, at the age of 92 and a half, he went to join his beloved wife of 63 years, Winifred, who preceded him in death on December 12, 2011. He was a decorated Army Corporal who survived incredible odds as a Jewish prisoner of war in Nazi Germany, and a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his meritorious valor and bravery. He was a beloved father and grandfather to five children, Ellen, Harriet, Jeffrey, Andrea and Russell; and eight grandchildren, Gregg, Mark, Steven, Jackie, Alana, Logan and Sydney. He had an amazingly strong, indomitable spirit, a great sense of humor and a passion for loving his family and singing his music. He had a love for life and lived it well right up until the end. He was loved by all whose lives he touched. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and many caregivers from the VA and Precious Moments. Services will be held at 10:30 am today at Daniels Funeral Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Veterans' Cemetery at 12:30 pm, with military honors.

WILLIAMS, MARY LOURDES Mary Williams was born February 11, 1929 in Dawson, New Mexico to her mother Delphina and Edward Zaragoza. She departed this life on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mary graduated from Dawson High School where she was a majorette and had perfect attendance thru her high school years later worked for The Department of Health in Gallup, New Mexico and also worked as a telephone operator. She was an expert in horsemanship and owned and breed winning race horses, she was a member of the New Mexico horsemen's association. She loved her one and only husband very much and never married after widowed. Her passion was finding antiques and collecting the things she found beauty in. In her spare time she helped her husband run his refrigeration business and spent most her time raising her children and being there for them. Mary always supported her children in everything they wanted and wished for. She was a strong and witty woman who was ever unfailing to express herself in matters she felt needed attention. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Donald Williams, her mother and father, her grandson Steven Gonzales, her sister Paula Smith, Rose Zaragoza and brother Carlos Zaragoza. Mary cared for those who are still here with us today and would want the best for them, including her daughter Louise; her sons Larry and wife Dehnae, Leonard & wife Yaqin, and John; her grandson Anthony Bourguet who she raised, and his wife Tanya; grandchildren Leonard Jude, Laurel Megan and Larry Jr. Williams; and great-grandchildren AJ, Bobbie Rae, Alexandra Bourguet and Yessenia Gonzales; brothers Tony and Edwardo Zaragoza. Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 20th at 8:00am, Funeral Mass following 9:00am, Interment will be Friday morning March 21st at Santa Fe National Cemetery. LOIBL, MILLIE Millie (Mildred) Louise Loibl, 90, had her final sunset day here on this earth on March 7, 2014. At the time of her death, she resided at Sandalwood Manor in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Millie was born December 20, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York. From 1947 - 1988 she lived in Dubuque, Iowa and relocated to Denver in 1988. Millie is preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Frank Loibl (1985). Millie is survived by her children: sons, David G. Loibl of Denver, CO; Michael C. Loibl (wife, Elsie) of Los Lunas, NM; Gregory R. Loibl of Iowa City, IA; Steven H. Loibl (wife, Janie) of Havelock, NC; and daughter, Linda L. Thompson (husband, Orville) of Davenport, IA; seven grandchildren, and ten great- grandchildren. WOOD, ROSE MARIE Age 57, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her home. She is survived by her mother, Rose Reger; daughter, Tianna Marie Piemontese; and a son, Brian Andrew Drayton. Also surviving are three grandchildren; and a dear friend and companion, Steven Dewitt Piemontese. Mom, you'll be greatly missed. You're an amazing mom and friend, love you. LUNSFORD, YOLANDA M. Our beloved Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Grandmother Yolanda Marie Lunsford went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the young age of 53. Yolanda was born on January 2, 1961 to Eloy and Amelia Torrez in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her father Eloy M. Torrez and grandmother Elisa Garcia. Yolanda was a life-long resident of Albuquerque. She was a graduate of Rio Grande High School and a member of New Beginnings Church of God. She was employed at the Albuquerque Journal for 35 years. She loved traveling; spending time with her family and most of all the light of her life, husband James Lunsford and grand-daughter Sophia Sandoval. She loved entertaining, and traveling and just recently returned from a great vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with her husband and travel partners Clifford and Shirley Pacheco of Brighten, Colorado. She is survived by her mother Amelia Torrez, her husband of 25 years James W. Lunsford, her children Andre Sandoval (Evanne) of Albuquerque, Serena Lunsford of Rosamond, California, and Eric Lunsford of Denver, Colorado, Siblings Priscilla Smith (Larry), David Torrez (Kathy), Michael Torrez (Rosanna) of Albuquerque, Mary Louise Bermudez (Jim) of Farmington, and Kathleen Bloom (Steven) of Guam, eight nieces, eight nephews, eight grand-nieces, four grand-nephews, four grandchildren and her favorite puppies Lola, Meiko and Sadie.
