LUNSFORD, YOLANDA M. Our beloved Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Grandmother Yolanda Marie Lunsford went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the young age of 53. Yolanda was born on January 2, 1961 to Eloy and Amelia Torrez in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her father Eloy M. Torrez and grandmother Elisa Garcia. Yolanda was a life-long resident of Albuquerque. She was a graduate of Rio Grande High School and a member of New Beginnings Church of God. She was employed at the Albuquerque Journal for 35 years. She loved traveling; spending time with her family and most of all the light of her life, husband James Lunsford and grand-daughter Sophia Sandoval. She loved entertaining, and traveling and just recently returned from a great vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with her husband and travel partners Clifford and Shirley Pacheco of Brighten, Colorado. She is survived by her mother Amelia Torrez, her husband of 25 years James W. Lunsford, her children Andre Sandoval (Evanne) of Albuquerque, Serena Lunsford of Rosamond, California, and Eric Lunsford of Denver, Colorado, Siblings Priscilla Smith (Larry), David Torrez (Kathy), Michael Torrez (Rosanna) of Albuquerque, Mary Louise Bermudez (Jim) of Farmington, and Kathleen Bloom (Steven) of Guam, eight nieces, eight nephews, eight grand-nieces, four grand-nephews, four grandchildren and her favorite puppies Lola, Meiko and Sadie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Ministry at New Beginnings Church of God, 3601 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Services will be held at New Beginnings Church of God on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 11:00 am.
