Blaine -- E. Joyce Blaine, PGM, went to meet her Lord on September 9, 2000. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 24, 1920, to Father Howard Close Carmody and Colette Naomi LeSeur Butler. During WWII she first worked for Boeing Aircraft, but due to the work she was doing, it damaged her eyes. She then went to work for the phone company in the Alaskan Territory. When the war was over, she married Robert L. Blaine in Santa Fe, NM in January 1946. She and her family finally settled in Albuquerque where she was able to pursue her passion of art not only in her work but also for her own pleasure. Joyce was active with the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Enchanted Assembly #56 in the early 1960's. She was also very active in Order of Eastern Star, Desert Rose Chapter #70 and served as Worthy Grand Matron for the state of New Mexico in 1983-84. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Blaine and and her son, Robert L. Blaine 2nd. She is survived by her daughters, Jana L. Blaine-Bailey of Tempe, AZ and Lynda L. Blaine-Duke of El Paso, TX; and granddaughter, Joyce R. Cambier of Scottsdale, AZ and two great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery next to her beloved husband of 39 years. She was also a member of St. John's United Methodist Church of Albuquerque. Memorial Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday from the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors. Carbajal -- Daniel Munoz Carbajal, 48, a resident of Bosque, NM was called to be with his Lord on Friday, September 8, 2000 at Gila Regional Medical Center. Daniel was born November 26, 1951 in San Jose, CA to Igancio and Lilia Carbajal. At the age of one, his family moved to Silver City, NM. He was a 1969 graduate from Silver High School. He left Silver City in search of a new job and to learn a trade. Daniel took an interest in carpentry and became very skilled in his new career. He grew to enjoy carpentry and loved all aspects of home and commercial building. Mr. Carbajal was a member of the Carpenters Local Union #1619 for 10 years. He built many buildings throughout New Mexico and other states but the moments that made him the proudest were the projects that involved his home in Bosque or when a friend needed help building a new home. After 20 years in construction he decided on a career change. Building from his experience, he earned his Associate Degree in Computer Drafting and his BA in Architecture. He worked for several architects in New Mexico and continued to be involved in the building trade. Before being diagnosed with cancer, he worked for Alley Associates in Las Cruces and was Project Manager for the award-winning cafeteria at Gadsen High School. He was a hard working man and prided himself in caring for his family. He was a loving and caring father, son, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and all who loved and knew him. Daniel is survived by his wife, Janis; his daughters, Elizabeth of Belen and Julia of Las Cruces; his son, Daniel Carbajal II of Las Cruces; parents, Ignacio and Lilia of Silver City; sister, Arlene Carbajal of Silver City; and two god-daughters, Nicole Chavez of Los Chavez and Zoe Birch of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his many loving family members and friends that are being brought together in his memory. Pallbearers will be Donald Pino, Larry Dixon, Quarai Silva, Edwin Romero, Henry Nunez Jr., Richard Murrufo, Rick Miller, Michael Aragon. Honorary pallbearer will be his son, Daniel Carbajal. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, September 13, 2000 at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 14, 2000 at San Antonio Catholic Church in Sabinal, New Mexico. Conner -- Eunice Wright Conner, a former resident of Marion, SC, died on September 10, 2000 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lawrence Conner, on January 3, 2000. She was a homemaker and moved to Albuquerque in 1996 to be near her family. Mrs. Conner is survived by her daughther, Debra C. Samuel and husband, David of Albuquerque; grandson, Lawrence J. Samuel; granddaughter, Davina M. Samuel; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held in Marion, SC on Saturday, September 16, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Devotion Gardens Cemetery. Fisher -- Maxine Elisabeth Fisher, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, died Saturday, September 9, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Martel J. Fisher of Albuquerque; son, Martel J. Henze -- Grace Elizabeth, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2000. She was born to Albert and Regina Salzman on June 21, 1928 in San Antonio, TX. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lee Henze and four children; Mark Henze and wife, Alicia of Ft. Worth, TX; Matthew Henze and wife, Patricia of Kernersville, NC, Sharon Burnett and husband, William of Plano, TX, and Diane McDonald of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Henze Cooper, Christopher and David Henze, Erin and Lyndsey Burnett, Kristyn and Emily McDonald; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Christina, and Nicholas Cooper; sisters, Marjorie Large of Houston, TX, Patricia Parma and husband, Edwin, Irene Reinhard and husband, Erwin, and Imogene Foreman and husband, Michael, all of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Regina Salzman and brother, Melvin Salzman. Mrs. Henze was a schoolteacher for the Albuquerque Public Schools until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church where she was active with St. Vincent de Paul Society. Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 15, 2000, 8:30 a.m., Our Lady of Annunciation, 2621 Vermont NE. Cremation will follow with interment of cremains to take place in San Antonio, TX. Nollen -- Edna H. Nollen, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, died Monday, September 11, 2000 after a prolonged illness. She is survived by her two sons, and daughters-in-law, Elwood E. Alexanderson and his wife, Mary of Albuquerque and Elbert O. Alexanderson and his wife, Patricia of Pottstown, PA; five grandchildren, Russell D. Alexanderson and wife, Pamela of Albuquerque, Ellen M. Wilson of Rio Rancho, Tracy Knitter of Pottstown, PA, James Alexanderson and wife, Kathy of Highland, IN and Rebecca Alexanderson of Phoenix, AZ; six great-grandchildren, Taryn and Lari Wilson of Rio Rancho, Trey and Wes Alexanderson of Rio Rancho, Jennifer Alexanderson of Pottstown, PA, and Thomas Alexanderson of Highland, IN; a half-brother, Harry Kledzik of Fremont, OH; and a half-sister, Helen Ball of Benice, CA; plus numerous nieces and nephews in Indiana, Florida, Tennessee and California. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years, Emil V. Alexanderson and her second husband of 17 years, Jacob A. Nollen. Edna was born in Chicago, Il on October 24, 1906, spent her childhood in Maumee, OH, and later moved to Hammond, IN, where she met and married her first husband, Emil V. Alexanderson in 1929. She retired from Illinois Bell Telephone Co. in 1961 after 26 years of service. Edna was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, Illinois Bell Telephone Pioneers in Chicago, IL and the Zia Telephone Pioneers in Albuquerque. The family particularly wishes to thank the staffs of Care-Free Living, 10916 Juan Tabo Place NE in Albuquerque and Lovelace Hospice for their kind help throughout Edna's illness.
