HAMPTON -- John G. Hampton III, born on March 25, 1955 passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 in Bremerton, WA. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; son, Greg; mother, Maryann; brothers, Mark and Don; sisters, Anita Heberling, Josie Gardner, Celia Hampton, Aurelia Siow and Margarite Ortiz. He is preceded in death by his father, John Hampton II. He was employed by Johnson Control Naval Sub Base in Bangor, Silverdale, WA. Services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2004 at Family Life Assembly of God at 10:00 a.m. in San Fidel. Burial will be at Mount of Peace Cemetery, McCarty's. Pallbearers will be Greg Hampton, Aaron Dailey, Collin Scott, Thaddeus Heberling, Shoni Hampton, Dwayne Ortiz, Josiah Tucker and Josh Ortiz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Heberling, Daniel Gardner, David Gardner, and Myron Salvador.

HOLMAN -- Christine Marie Holman, 54, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 10 years died on Monday, June 7, 2004 in Denver Colorado. Mrs. Holman had moved here from North Carolina. She was born September 2, 1949 the daughter of Stanley Gilman and Patricia Connell Gilman. Mrs. Holman is survived by her husband, David T. Holman; her children, Jonathan David Holman, Dee Holman, David James Holman; five brothers and sisters; Steven Gilman, Danny Gilman, Debbie Gilman, Terry Simmons, and Pattie Chapman. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Marshall at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2004 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Cremation will follow services. MAISEL -- Gertrude (Jerry) Bradley Maisel went to be with Jesus, her Savior and Lord, June 5, 2004. She was born October 22, and all who know her know that is all we can say (about her age). She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Albert L. Maisel. She leaves behind her loving family including her daughter,Sandy and husband Tom Dunn; son, Skip Maisel; daughter, Shelley and husband Jeff Dyleski: grandchildren, Greg Dunn and wife Kirsten, Reed Dunn and wife Sandra; Tanner, Cassidy, and Skyler Maisel; Tracy and Luke Dyleski; great-grandchildren, Tommy, Jackson, Montana, Emese, Jodi, Isaiah; Emma, Grace and William Dunn. She had many beloved nieces and nephews, and she had her very loving caregivers Damiana Quintana, Susan Stewart, and Jennifer Lopez. We rejoice with her as she worships at the feet of Jesus. The memorial service will be in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary on Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 10:30 a.m.with Pastor David Bruskas officiating. BABB -- David Daniel Babb, 75, died on June 4, 2004 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Sara W. Babb; a sister, Elaine B. Chastain and her husband, Dr. Richard Chastain of Amarillo; a brother, Burton A. Babb and wife, Eleanor Babb of Dallas; a brother-in-law, Dr. John Wilhelm and wife, Ann of La Plata, Maryland; two nieces and many nephews. David was born and raised on the east coast. He graduated from MIT in 1950 with degrees in electrical engineering, and later with a graduate degree in physics. He worked in those fields for 40 years. He first came to New Mexico in 1960 and retired here in 1990. David enjoyed skiing, golf, exploring New Mexico and jeeping in Colorado. Special thanks go to Frank Torres M.D., to Michael Bivin, R.N., the staff at AmberCare Hospice and the staff at Montibello Health Care for their support and good care. Very dear friends Robin Johnson and husband David Wilson are much appreciated for helping to provide Dave with his daily cigar for many months. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial with family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the NM Boys & Girls Ranch at 6209 Hendrix Rd NE, Albuquerque, 87110.

CARPIO-HERNANDEZ -- David Carpio-Hernandez, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2004 at the age of 28, He is survived by his wife; Blanca Carpio. His two children; Jesus Carpio-Navarro and Daisy Carpio-Navarro, His is also survived by his parents; Roberto Carpio Solano and Rosalia Hernandez Pando, His Brothers; Roberto Carpio, Daniel Carpio, Marcos Aleman, Manuel Rivas and Roberto Carpio Jr. Sisters; Luz Maria Rivas, Michelle Carpio and Lorena Carpio. Visitations will be on Thursday, June 9, 2004 from 1-7 p.m. at Salazar and Sons Mortuary with a Rosary following at 7 p.m. Communion Service will be on Friday, June 11, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. HUMPHREYS -- David Lee Humphreys, 63, passed away on June 9, 2004. He was born on January 8, 1941 in Washington, DC to Jesse Boone Humphreys and Virginia Isabelle (Thompson) Humphreys. He is survived by his wife, Gay Lee Humphreys of the family home; one son, Jesse Thomas Humphreys of Albuquerque and two daughters, Regina Kilton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Robin Schmahl of Lawton, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Stephanie Schmahl of Lawton, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews. David was employed by Sandia National Laboratories for 30 years before retiring in 1997, working in the Drafting, Metallurgy, and Field Test Departments. David was a member of the United States Navy, where he taught flight theory on Link Trainers. He was a member of the American Legion Post 13. He attended Oklahoma State University Technical Institute in Oklahoma City, and was the Student Body President, and selected "Most Outstanding Student" his senior year. David loved all sports and managed fast pitch softball and flag football teams in the Albuquerque City Leagues named the "The Sandia Sonics" in the late 1960's and 1970's. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and woodworking. He had a way of seeing the funny side of almost every situation. "I know not what the future hath, Of marvel or surprise; Assured alone that life and death, God's Mercy underlies." Before his death, David wrote his autobiography, "Life in the Slow Lane," for his children and grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (505) 897-0300
