Leathers -- Mrs. Maria B. Leathers, 67, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on May 19, 1998. Mrs. Leathers is survived by her one daughter, Gayle Phillips and husband, Frederick; three sons, Michael Leathers and wife, Karan, Roger Leathers and wife, Kim, and Leon Leathers and fiancee, Sherry; four sisters, Juanita Leathers and husband, David, Erma Martinez and husband, Popo, Chea Maes and husband, Gabe, and Marge Sanchez; three brothers, Navarez Gutierrez and wife, Linda, Ignacio Gutierrez and wife, Ruth, and Selso Gutierrez; seven grandchildren, Missy, Jessie, Toby, Ashley, Damien, Carl, and Jody; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley C. Leathers, 1968. Mrs. Leathers was a member of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church for over 30 years. A memorial Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at San Felipe Church, 2005 Plaza NW, with Deacon Bob Lewis reciting. The family will be receiving family and friends after 6:30 p.m. at the church. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday morning, 10:00 a.m., at St. Felipe Church, with Father Lambert Luna, Celebrant. The family will be receiving family and friends after 9:30 a.m. Interment of the cremains will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations and contributions to the American Cancer Society. Villas -- Mrs. Ermalinda C. Villas, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 18, 1998, peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family. Mrs. Villas is survived by three daughters, Bersabe Garcia and husband, Leo, Maria Garcia and husband, Tim, and Joanne Gutierrez and husband, Manuel; three sons, Henry Villas and wife, Linda, Gilbert Villas, and William Villas and wife, Biolanda; two sisters, Leonor Montoya, and Maria Miller and husband, Cecil; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Villas was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Deacon Gilbert Valverde will recite the Rosary. A final viewing will be Friday morning in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday morning, 9:00 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper NW. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodney Garcia, Ralph Montoya, Manuel Gutierrez Jr., Jimmy Gutierrez, Gilbert Villas Jr., and Michael Villas. Lente -- Mr. Joe M. Lente, 48, a resident of Bosque Farms, NM, passed away on May 10, 1998. Mr. Lente was the beloved husband of 28 years to Daisy Lente. He is also survived by his daughter, Adela Lente; four sons, Amadore Lente and wife, Katy, Randol Lente, Joe Michael Lente Jr., and Clint Lente; his mother, Telesflora"Teddy" Lente; one sister, Rose Mary Lente and one brother, Joseph Lente. Mr. Lente was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam era. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isleta, NM, with visitation at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father Nick, Celebrant. Castillo -- Mr. Eusebio"Eddie" Castillo, 71, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 16, 1998. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou Vallejos and husband, Valentin; three sons, Richard Castillo and wife, Christine, Fred Castillo and wife, Theresa and Gerald Castillo and wife, Marie; one sister, Dolores"Lola" Becerra and husband, Ron; one brother, Bobby Castillo and wife, Margie; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agueda and Clemente Castillo; his son, Paul Casias; brothers, Manuel Castillo, Frank Castillo and Tom Castillo. Mr. Castillo was a member of the Catholic Church, worked for Griffith's Furniture for 25 years and a Veteran of the Army serving in World War II. A Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:00 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW with visitation after 6:30. Evelyn Lujan will recite the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 11:00 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway S.E. with Father Jose Farias, Celebrant. Garcia -- Desiree M. Garcia, 14, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 14, 1998. Desiree was the beloved daughter of Ondfri and Annette Garcia. She is also survived by her sisters, Nicole Gomez and Crystal Garcia; grandparents, Maria Gomez and Guadalupe and Nancy Garcia; a special nephew, Daniel Gomez; two half-sisters, Irene and Wanda Garcia; two half-brothers, Ondfri and Timothy Garcia; her loving God-parents, Silverio and Emily Gomez; special friends, Rosie Encinas, Michael Sigala, the Bernalillo County Fire Fighters, and the Make a Wish Program. She was preceded in death by her cousins, Daniel Gomez and Robert Sosa. Desiree was a member of the Catholic Church. Lopez -- Francisco Lopez, 45, a resident of Albuquerque and former resident of Los Lunas Hospital and Training School, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 1998. He was born on March 20, 1953. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Lopez. He is survived by his mother, Gloria Rubio Lopez; four sisters, Lupe Lopez Mills and husband, Ken, Gloria Romero, Beatrice Lopez, Ramona Gabaldon and husband, Herman; brothers, Chuck Lopez and wife, Cindy, Joseph Lopez, and his mother, Joanne Lopez; 14 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews. Visitations will be today, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, at which time a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m., also at the church. Casketbearers will be Michael Sierra, Marty Sierra, Herman Gabaldon Jr., George Quintana, Rick Newland, and Robert Ruiz. Moraga -- Mrs. Catalina"Kate" Moraga, 78, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 6, 1998 peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family. Mrs. Moraga is survived by one daughter, Mary Moraga; two sons, Crespin Moraga and wife, Diana and Andres Moraga and wife, Gloria; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; cousins, Susie Padilla, Maggie Olguin and Melcor Padilla and many other relatives and friends. Romero -- Mrs. Vangie"E.V." A. Gilliam-Romero, 51, went home to be with our Lord on March 29, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer. Vangie was the beloved wife of 1 1/2 years to Robert A. Romero. She is also survived by her loving sons, Joseph A. Segura and fiancee, Serena Beckett and Ray Segura and wife, Lilly; her parents, George and Andrea Gilliam Sr.; sisters, Cathy Sanchez and husband, Levi, Dorothy Sanchez and husband, Steven, Carmen Contreras and husband, Elfego and Ramona Aragon and husband, Richard; three brothers, George Gilliam Jr., John Gilliam and wife, Laura and Fred Gilliam and wife, Laura; one beautiful and special granddaughter, Devin Marie Segura and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
