MARTINEZ -- David Martinez died Thursday, November 18, 2004 in Los Lunas at the age of 72. Mr. Martinez worked for the City of Albuquerque and retired after 30 years of service. He is survived by his son, David Martinez Jr. and wife, Monique; daughters, Bertha Martinez, Linda Chavez and husband, Michael, Elizabeth De Lira and husband, Jose Luis, and Patricia Carpio Hernandez and husband, Daniel; brothers, Bruno Martinez, Salvador Martinez and Johnny Martinez; sisters, Christina Sanchez, Anna Pando and husband, Frank, Estella Para and husband, Fidel, and Josie Martinez and husband, Andres; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Martinez will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. also at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2004 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW, where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. MARTINEZ -- Ms. Anna Martinez, 88, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on November 18, 2004. Ms. Martinez is survived by her brother, Joe E. Martinez Jr.; sister-in-law, Margaret Martinez; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ms. Martinez was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Flora Martinez; a sister, Guadalupe Martinez, three brothers, Natividad C. Martinez, Carlos Martinez and Manuel Martinez; sisters-in-law, Loriena Martinez and Frances Martinez. Ms. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Ms. Martinez will be Sunday afternoon from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 4th St. NW with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. by Robb Sisneros. A final visitation for Ms. Martinez will be Monday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. VALDEZ -- Rosemary Valdez, a woman of beauty, joy, and love was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Sunday, November 14, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Valdez. She is survived by her children, Rebecca Marlowe, Jeanette Valdez, Joseph David Valdez and his late wife, Jean, Rosemary Maes and her husband, John, Kelly Valdez-Ayres and her husband, Bob; 11 grandchildren, Gregg Marlowe, Nicole Quinlan and her husband, Robert, Miguel Gonzales and his wife, Jamie, Dan Gonzales and his wife, Rebecca, Mark Gonzales, Joe Gonzales and his wife, Stephanie, Charli Gonzales Valdez and his wife, Susana, Joseph Valdez and his wife, Milany, Jonathon Valdez, Dinah Valdez, John Maes III; and 14 great-grandchildren, and one pending. She lived her life as an example of God's love, and has left a legacy of compassion, strength and a love of life. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. NE. CEBALLOS -- Roy Gene. Mr. Roy Gene Ceballos, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 6, 2004 in Loma Linda, California. Mr. Ceballos is the beloved husband to Grace Padilla-Ceballos, married for 14 years. Mr. Ceballos is also survived by his mother, Veronica Contreras and husband, Sam; his children, Roy and wife, Roberta, Regina and husband, Frank, Valarie, Rosie and husband, Joey, Roy (Mijo), Christine, Tonio, Sasha and husband, David; six siblings, Deanna Ceballos of Albuquerque, Veronica, Maria, Danny, Henry and Rudy of California; sisters in law, Clara, Demecia and Berndette; bothers in law, Julian, Rafael and Pablo; special nephews, Jose, Manuel, Kenneth and Sylvestre Padilla and Ronald Lancaster (Cass); 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Ceballos was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Ceballos; a brother, Lyman; his grandchildren, Vanessa, Moriah and Zion. Mr. Ceballos was a member of the Catholic Church. After the long illness and suffering of liver and kidney disease Roy requested everyone consider becoming an organ donor. A visitation will be Friday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 5:30 p.m. with a Memorial Prayer Service to be held at 6:00 p.m. by Rafael Padilla. A final visitation will be Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Church of Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the Los Padillas Cemetery. ERWIN -- Priscilla C. Erwin, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1999 and coming to New Mexico from Tyler, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2004. Priscilla was born January 24, 1926, the daughter of Davy Clay and Estelle Viola Paulsen Cook in Bloomington, Illinois. She had been the Station Manager for American Eagle, Inc. Airlines. Priscilla was Employee of the Month and of the Year numerous times while with American Eagle, Inc. at Pounds Field in Tyler, Texas. Priscilla was a lover of art. She was a watercolorist and appreciated all the art mediums. She had a life-long love of learning. Priscilla was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by one infant son, David Clay Erwin. Priscilla is survived by four children, Michael S. Erwin and wife Kathleen of Kent, OH, Kristine Porcher of Albuquerque, NM, Daniel J. Erwin and wife Lisa of Lebanon, IN, and Matthew G. Erwin and wife Dana of Tyler, TX; four grandchildren, Michael Andrew Porcher, David Clay Erwin II, Dayle Meredith Erwin, and Gabriel H. Erwin; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in the Family Room of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. GURULE -- Pat "Tito" Gurule, 76, passed away at home, Tuesday, November 16, 2004, surrounded by his family. A longtime resident of Albuquerque, he worked for A.G.P / Calmat for over 25 years. Tito had a wonderful charismatic personality and was devoted to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Patricio Gurule; brother, Joe Espinosa; sons, Steve and Ray Gurule, and grandson, Dominic Medina. Tito is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ernestine Gurule; children, Atilano Gallegos, Sara Gonzales, Robert Gurule, George Gurule, Loretta Medina, and Yvonne Gurule; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A visitation will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, on Thursday, November 18, 2004 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A graveside funeral service will be held at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, on Friday, November 19, 2004 at 2:00 pm, with Willie Garcia officiating.
