Craig -- Agripina "Tina" Craig, a lifelong New Mexican, died Monday, January 15, 2001. She is survived by her sister, Bennigna Dantis of Albuquerque; nephews, Tony Baca and wife, Marian of Santa Fe, Edward Baca and wife, Lorena of Las Cruces, Phil Baca and wife, Stella of Las Cruces, Nick Dantis of Santa Fe, John Dantis and wife, Judy of Albuquerque, and Phillip Delgado and wife, Lisa of Santa Fe; nieces, Lena Gonzales and husband, Carmen of Albuquerque and Linda Romero and husband, Leonard of Santa Fe; and various great-nieces and nephews. Tina was preceded in death by her husband, Allan R. Craig on December 17, 1994, parents, Emilio and Manuelita Gonzales Delgado, brother, Leopoldo Delgado and wife, Tita, sisters, Josefita Baca and husband, Antonio, Adelina Armijo and husband, Al and niece, Lucy Armijo and husband, Alex. She married Allan R. Craig in 1949 and started to work shortly thereafter for the Santa Fe Railroad from which she retired. Tina suffered a major stroke in 1988 which left her paralyzed and unable to talk but was never deterred from having a handshake and smile for everyone, nor from participating in any family events. Before her stroke, she was very active with the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees in which she served as Secretary-Treasurer, American Legion Auxiliary, ushering at Lobo Games and many other civic and community affairs. She was a Supreme Royal Princess with the Pythian Sunshine Girls and a Supreme Representative for the Pythian Sisters. Services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 18, 2001, 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1301 Osage Ave., in Santa Fe. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Tony Baca, Edward Baca, Phil Baca, Nick Dantis, John Dantis, and Phillip Delgado. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carmen J. Gonzales and Leonard Romero. Cordova -- Arturo Cordova, 59, peacefully passed away in the arms of his wife and his children on Sunday, December 31, 2000. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic and Homebound Minister, and well as a Sacristan. He was also a member of The Legion of Mary. He was preceded in death by his father, Julian Cordova in 1989; one brother, Ernest Cordova in 1956; his Godfathers, J.J. and Serdio Serna; his father-in-law, Tim Montoya; his mother-in-law, Cipry P. Montoya; and his brother-in-laws, Claudio, Richard, Robert, Gilbert, and Joe Montoya. Arturo is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Nellie of the family home in Los Chavez; four children, Diane Griego and her husband, David of Albuquerque; Art and his wife, Marissa of Los Chavez; Wayne and his wife, Helen of San Antonio, TX; Frankie and his wife, MaryHelen of Veguita; 11 loving grandchildren; his mother, Estella Cordova of Los Chavez; his brothers and sisters, Bernie and his wife, Irene of Los Chavez; Juan and his wife, Cruz of Bell Gardens, CA; Angie White of Los Lunas; Annabelle Contreras and her husband, Nago of Los Chavez; Nora Maestas and her husband, Kenny of Belen; Julie Gonzales and her husband, Teddy of Los Chavez; Gerald and his wife, Navora of Rio Communities; and Maymie Salazar and her husband, Al of CA. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, and other close family members, and many, many friends, all of whom he loved very much. Cordova -- Arturo Cordova, 59, peacefully passed away in the arms of his wife and his children on Sunday, December 31, 2000. Ortiz -- Carl Anthony Ortiz, 53, passed away suddenly at his home in Denver, CO, on Tuesday. He was born in Las Vegas to Arthur L. Ortiz, a prominent Las Vegas businessman and Anna Lopez Ortiz, on February 23, 1947. He graduated from Robertson High School in Las Vegas in 1965, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Corporation Finance from Regis College in 1969. He spent one year working in banking in Albuquerque before pursuing a degree in architecture at the University of Washington. He completed his Master of Architecture degree in 1976 and spent six months in Rome, as the recipient of the prestigious Rome prize awarded by the Department of Architecture. As a recipient of the award, he participated in studies of the historic district of Trastevere and other historic districts in Rome, which resulted in a PBS presentation which was shown nationwide. He had an architectural consulting firm, Optima Southwest, which specialized in architecture, interior design and graphics, and was based in Denver, CO. He worked for architectural firms in Seattle, WA for eight years and for firms in Denver and Boulder, CO, before establishing his own business. He worked on airport component designs for airports in Rihyad, Saudi Arabia, West Palm Beach, FL and Mexico City. Historic preservation was his passion and he worked to preserve and restore historic buildings in Denver. He also was involved in bank graphics design. A very talented and versatile individual, Carl also designed new homes including his own in Albuquerque. He was known for his innovative design using color and lighting. Carl was a gentle and generous person, who loved people and creative parties. He had many friends in Colorado, New Mexico and Washington State. He loved plants, flowers, trees and fountains, and one of his hobbies was gardening. He also loved classical music and Portuguese and Brazilian music. He spoke Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish and had traveled in Western Europe, Greece and Turkey. Carl is preceded in death by his father, Arthur L. Ortiz in January of 1975. He is survived by his mother, Anna L. Ortiz; and sister, Kathleen L. Ortiz of Albuquerque; aunts, Lucy Sanchez and Tillie Ortiz of Las Vegas; an uncle, Fermin Ulibarri of Raton; his godson, James Clawson and his wife, Jane and their children, William and Katie of Denver, CO; very special cousins, Nea Stoner of Denver and Rita Winters of Seattle, WA, Frances Chavez of Littleton, CO, Barbara Kent of Arvada, CO, Carmen Ward and her husband, Andrew of Denver, and Frank Gurule of Denver, Pauline LaBonte and her husband, Al of Nashua, NH, Vangie Adams of St. Petersberg, FL, and Barbara Clements of O'Neill, NE, Rita Garcia and her husband, Willie, Leroy Sanchez and his wife, Marcella, Dr. Frank Sanchez and his wife, Joanne, Dr. Clarence Sanchez, Josie Larranaga and her husband, Robert, and Benny Ortiz of Las Vegas. In addition, he is survived by many other cousins, relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. from St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. in Las Vegas, NM. A Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. from the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Drive NE, in Albuquerque. Salazar -- Donaciano (Don) Salazar, 81, our beloved husband and father, passed away October 8, 2000. Formerly of Wagon Mound, he was retired from the New Mexico Highway Department. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ellen LeDoux Salazar; his children include David Salazar and wife, Annabelle of Colorado Springs, CO, Frances Montoya and husband, Gilbert of Albuquerque, Jerry Salazar and wife, Laurie of Ignacio, CO, Christine Roybal and husband, Serafin of Nambe, NM, Larry Salazar and wife, Sophie of Perryton, TX, Martha Ly and husband, Minh of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Joaquin Salazar, Arcelia Salazar, Ronnie Montoya, James Montoya, Jaime Salazar, Eli Salazar, Marisa Salazar, Santiago Roybal, Manuelita Roybal, Larry Salazar Jr. and wife, Shelly, Augustine Salazar and wife, Misty, Joseph Salazar, Robert Salazar, Brandon Ly and Jet Ly.
