Lovato -- Mary Jane Lovato, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister was welcomed into the arms of the Lord our Savior, Thursday, February 20, 2003. Mary Jane is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Carmen Lovato of the family home; her wonderful children, Joe Lovato and wife, Dara of Lodge Grass, MT, Lucy Montoya, Henry Lovato and wife, Vina both of Albuquerque, Carmen Lovato, Jr. and wife, Carla of Dickinson, ND, Julia Carroll and husband, Richard of Omaha, NE, Virginia Serna and husband, Joe of Bernalillo, Michael Lovato and wife June of Albuquerque, Susan Garcia and Ramon of Chandler, AZ, Manuel Lovato and wife, Gina of Pena Blanca, NM, and Adela Chacon and husband, Amadeo of Gallina, NM; 33 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Candelaria Velasquez, Matilda Archuleta, both of Albuquerque, Stella Batschelet-Ponce of Los Lunas, NM, Merlinda Sturdevant of Bloomfield, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mary Jane will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Mary Jane will lie in state Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at the Cuba Catholic Cemetery. Casket bearers will be James Lovato, Christopher Lovato, Adrian Lovato, Joshua Lovato, Gabriel Chacon, Vincent Lovato, Pablo Garcia, and Steven Carroll. Martiss -- Alice M. Martiss, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died on Saturday, February 22, 2003. She is survived by her son, John R. Martiss and wife, Julie Starks, of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Heather Martiss and grandson, James Martiss. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Martiss. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, gardening and also her"granddog", Murphy. She was a wonderful, generous wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. Romo -- Pablo Romo, born in Mora, NM and a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2003 of congestive heart failure at the V.A. He was 79 years old, the grandson of Vicente and Nievecitas Abeyta and Katarino and Cleofas Romo, son of Miguel A. Romo and Delfina Abeyta Romo. He was wounded in France while serving in Patton's Armored Division during WWII. Pablo was an active member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, American Legion Post 99, V.F.W. Post 401, Disabled American Veterans and was a Charter Founder of Holy Ghost Parish. Recently, he had become involved with the American Foundation for the Blind. Pablo was preceded in death by his first wife of 43 years, Donila Romo; sisters, Isabel Davey and Eliza Tenorio. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Emma Talamantez-Romo; children, Yolanda Madden (husband, Michael), Rita Flores (husband, John, Julia Maddux (husband, Gary), Alvin Romo, Christina Riker (husband, Jim) and Martha Cortez (husband, Mike); grandchildren, Juan and Bobby Flores, Michelle Burke and Steve Maddux, Paul Romo, Patrick Madden, Amy and James Riker, Michelle and Miranda Cortez; two great-grandchildren, Spencer Flores and Alexa-Rae; and numerous nieces and nephews. Surviving siblings are Cleo Romo-Rogers, Donicia (Nisha) Cassidy, Vincente Romo, Dolores Sanchez, Louie Romo and Pauline Rindone. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at 4:30 p.m., at Holy Ghost Church, 833 Arizona SE. Following the rosary, friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2532 Vermont NE. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Mares, Patrick Madden, Steve Maddux, Michelle Burke, Bobby Flores and Juan Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Michelle and Miranda Cortez, Amy and James Riker, and Paul Romo III. Trujillo -- Richard E."Rick" Trujillo, age 54, was born November 18, 1948 and went be with Our Heavenly Father, February 22, 2003. He was a disabled Veteran, having served in the US. Army. Rick is survived by his wife Olympia; two sons, Christian and wife, Christina, and Guillermo; daughter, Consuelo; parents, Eddie and Agnes Trujillo; sisters, Virginia Wall and husband, Ray, Carole Vincent and husband, Stephen; brothers, James and Lawrence Trujillo. He is also survived by all of his beloved nieces, nephews, whom he loved with all of his heart. He will always be remembered in the hearts of many who loved him. Services will be held at Christian Fellowship, 3901 Claremont. NE. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2003. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2003, with Pastor John Sandoval officiating. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, with Eddie J. Baker -- Martha Leona Baker passed away on Feb. 19, 2003, at 11:00 AM in St Josephs Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Her parents were James Shaw and Ora (Carroll) Shaw. Martha was born on August 5, 1936, the 4th of a family of 10 children made up of girls and one boy. Martha is survived by two children: Janet Rae (Baker) Malta and Richard Lee Baker. Martha is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Angelo Richard Malta, Kristopher Joseph Baker, Rachel Rae Malta and her newest grandson Jesse Ray Baker. Martha daughter Janet is married to Angelo James Malta and live in Albuquerque. Her son Dick is married to Paula K. Baker and live in Wooster, Ohio. Martha will be laid to rest beside her eldest sister, Juanita Tackett and just behind her parents and grandparents in North Cemetery in Cedarville, Ohio her hometown, on march 23rd after a church service at the First Church of God there. Memorial Mass will be held on Feb. 27, 2003 at 5:30 PM at La Resolana (Community Room) located at 1025 Chelwood Park NE with Deacon Bob Martinez officiating. Garcia -- Mrs. Clorinda Garcia, 72, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 20, 2003. Mrs. Garcia is the beloved wife of 53 years to Mr. Gillie G. Garcia. Mrs. Garcia is also survived by her children, Dolores Martinez and husband, Chris, Ramona Trujillo and companion Wallace Carroll, Flora Wilson and husband, James, Gillie Garcia Jr. and wife, Rosemarie, Jennie Lozoya, Jerry Garcia and companion Juanita Ochoa, Kathy Garcia, Patrick Garcia and wife, Bobbi Jo; one sister, Paula Chavez; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mrs. Garcia will be Sunday afternoon from 4:30pm until 5:00pm at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00pm by Gabriella Nieto. A final visitaiton will be Monday morning from 9:30am until 10:00am at San Jose Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00am by Father Vincent Dominguez.
