Mary was retired from the Telephone Company, however, she felt that retirement was an opportunity to live an even fuller life. She also belonged to numerous social and civil organizations throughout her life, most recently the Altrusa Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Confederacy and the Telephone Pioneers. She spent literally thousands of hours volunteering her services to her community. As her grandchildren can all attest, the Dallas Cowboys have never had a more loyal fan than Mary. If the value of a life is measured by the number of one's friends, she was a rich woman indeed. Mary led a full life and she will be sorely missed by her family and by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be conducted at Montgomery Church of Christ on August 19, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Albuquerque Christian Children's home.
