Kinzer -- David L. Kinzer, 37, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, April 22, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Kinzer; parents, John and Eleanor Kinzer of Albuquerque; sister, Mary Kinzer-Johnson and husband, Dick of Clancy, MT; brother, John Kinzer and wife, Marcie of Albuquerque, and many close relatives and friends who loved him. David graduated from Sandia High School in 1980 and graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1986. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 285, president of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, and an active member of Desert Springs Bible Church. Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway Blvd. NE, with Pastor Paul Kemp officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be John Kinser, Chuck Harper, Ed Trujillo, Jonathan Elliott, Carlo Lucero, Dean Penneman, and John Merwin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adam Roberts, Dan Newhouse, Joel Harper, David Montoya, Tom Morrish, Dick Johnson, Pete McGrath, Chris Cossin and Bryan Karler. Mckeever -- Clarabelle S. McKeever, 89, a resident of Albuquerque for four years died, Tuesday, April 20, 1999. She is survived by her sons, Clarence R. Danner and wife, Makiko of Florida and Ron Danner and wife, Marie of Albuquerque; and many other family and friends. She loved sharing cards and table games with her family and friends. Clarabelle moved to Rio Rancho from Tucson, AZ where she lived for seven years with her late husband, Harry McKeever. Services and burial will be in Titusville, PA.

Mcphee -- Alma DeNio McPhee. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 1999 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Albuquerque for Alma DeNio McPhee, age 93, of Roswell, who passed away April 21, 1999 at a local nursing home. Rev. Melinda J. Wagner of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Alma was born August 16, 1905 in Elmo, Kansas to Henry and Christina Meuli Hoffman. Her parents preceded her in death, as well as her husbands, Frank McPhee and Homer DeNio; daughter-in-law, Marian DeNio; son-in-law, W. Bob Weekly; great-grandson, Jason DeNio; and two sisters, Alberta Hanson and Lucile Sloan. She married Frank McPhee in April, 1954 in Albuquerque. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Keith E. DeNio and his wife, Jane of Roswell; a daughter, Wanda DeNio Weekly of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by a sister, Virginia Allen and her husband, G. Bud of Mesa, AZ. Other survivors are five grandchildren, Steve DeNiro and his wife, Connie of Roswell, Shawn DeNio and wife, Anita of Carlsbad, Cindy Flinn and husband, Fred of Port Orchard, WA, Shelley Sweglar and husband, Michael of Riverton, WY, Dana Keith Weekly of Miami Beach, FL. Mrs. McPhee had been a Roswell resident since 1994 and had been in bookkeeping for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albuquerque and very active in church work. She had been an Eastern Star member and a member of The Daughter of the Nile, and the Engineers Wives Club. She will lie in state at LaGrone Funeral Chapel until Monday morning. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

Metcalf -- Clayton B. Metcalf, passed away peacefully at home on Friday. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a resident of Albuquerque for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Jones Metcalf and his mother, Evea Barker Metcalf. He was born in Clayton, NM. He was a heavy equipment contractor for 43 years and worked on many projects in New Mexico and the adjoining states. Some of his most memorable jobs were in the Duke's baseball field, the Lobo football field, and running a coal mine in Gallup. Clayton is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Metcalf, of 43 years; his four children, Roxanne Baltz and husband, David, Becky Garcia and husband, Johnny, Jill Thomas and husband, Jon, Kyle Metcalf and wife, Barbara. Clayton enjoyed his 14 grandchildren, Yvonne, 23, Lisa, 15, Nicole, 11, JD, 10, Madeline, 9, Austin, 9, Ariel and Wes, 8, Amanda, 8, Vincent, 7, Joseph, 6, Jett, 5, Monica, 3, Casey, 2. He also had one great-granddaughter, Kaily, 3. The pallbearers will be Wayne Smouse, Max Flores, Tom Trout, Sonny Martinez, Jerry Rogers, and Chuck Morrish. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna NE. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated for Peanut Butter and Jelly Therapeutic Preschool, 1101 Lopez Rd. SW 87105. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.

Modrow -- Dorothy Jean Weimer Modrow, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for the last 18 years, passed away peacefully at her home on April 20 surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 48 years, Harold"Hal"; and four children survive her; Harold"Harry" Edward Modrow III and his wife, Patricia of Maryland, James Modrow of Illinois, Mary Modrow of Albuquerque and Jean Groepler and her husband, James of Alabama. Dot has three wonderful grandchildren, Eric, Jim and Katherine, all of whom she adored. Dot will be often and frequently missed by all that knew her. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 29, 1999 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 12120 Copper St. NE with Rev. William G. Scranton III. Interment will be at the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, IL at a later date. In lieu of flowers for those who wish, donations may be made to Brother St. James Court, St. James Place, Springfield, IL 62702 or the Shrine Transportation fund @ Ballut Abyad Temple.

Murphey -- Stephane Margaret Murphey, 37, born in Albuquerque and returning in 1995, died Tuesday, April 20, 1999. She is survived by her parents, Robert M. Murphey and Carol E. Murphey of Davis, CA; sister, Arry Frank; nephew, Alexander Frank; and aunt, Kathleen Manygoats. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 25, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in the University of New Mexico Alumni Chapel. Graveside service will be conducted at the Blackjack Presbyterian Church in Rural Panola County, Mississippi. Her request for burial was to be joined with her ancestors there as the 6th generation of Murpheys. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name at Norwest Bank for the Victims of Violence.

Ocana -- Mr. Juan J. Ocana, 90, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 22, 1999. Mr. Ocana is the beloved father to Amelia S. Briones and husband, Gilbert, and Stella M. Saavedra and husband, Daniel. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Anthony, Diane, Patricia, Eric and Jodie; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Teofilia Lopez and husband, Julian and Benaranda Cordova; special friends, Hilario Chavez and Jacob Chavez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Ocana was a member of the Catholic Church, Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, and a member of the American Legion. A Memorial Communion Service will be held on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, with Visitation at the church after 9:30 a.m. Deacon Jerry Hiettas is officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.

Ortiz -- Celina A. Ortiz, 87, a resident of Albuquerque for 38 years, died Saturday, April 24, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Velma L'Esperance of Albuquerque; sons, Alfonso Ortiz, Jr. and wife, Jeannette of Albuquerque and Nelson Ortiz and wife, Ernestine of Albuquerque; brothers, Jesse Garcia and wife, Rosana of Pinnole, CA, Lucio Garcia of Oakland, CA and Ofene Garcia and wife, Carlotta of Las Vegas, NM; sisters, Grace Duran and husband, Eloy, Gertrude Ortega, Predy Aragon and husband, Guadalupe, all of Albuquerque, and Dorothy L. 'Esperance of Las Vegas, NM; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Ortiz, Sr. in 1993. Celina was born April 8, 1912 in Chacon, NM. She was a graduate of Allison-James High School in Santa Fe in 1934 and enjoyed dancing, ceramics and macrame. Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming, NE with Fr. Paul Baca. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Risen Savior with Fr. Paul Baca, celebrant, Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Pittman -- James (Jimmy) Pittman, 37, a resident of Belen, passed away at home on April 20, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Darlene, of the family home in Belen; two children, Nikki and Jimmy (J.J.) of the family home; his parents, Spencer and Donna Pittman of Albuquerque; one brother, Alan and his wife, Teena and their son, Joshua, of Escalante, Utah. He is also survived by his loving uncles, aunts, mother-in-law, four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. Cremation has taken place. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Pope -- Dolores B. Pope, 61, of Albuquerque, passed away on April 23, 1999. She was born on December 25, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA. Dolores is survived by her husband, Clifton D. Pope of the home; sons, Lynn Pope of Albuquerque and Clifton Pope of Hobbs; her mother, Willia Mae Kirkland of Pittsburgh; a sister, Bernice Cuerton of Pittsburgh; and brothers, David Kirkland of Pittsburgh and Russell Kirkland of Trinidad.
