Obituary for Ocana

Mr. Juan J. Ocana, 90, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 22, 1999. Mr. Ocana is the beloved father to Amelia S. Briones and husband, Gilbert, and Stella M. Saavedra and husband, Daniel. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Anthony, Diane, Patricia, Eric and Jodie; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Teofilia Lopez and husband, Julian and Benaranda Cordova; special friends, Hilario Chavez and Jacob Chavez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Ocana was a member of the Catholic Church, Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, and a member of the American Legion. A Memorial Communion Service will be held on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, with Visitation at the church after 9:30 a.m. Deacon Jerry Hiettas is officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
