SANTILLANES, JOSE FLAVIO FATHER passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2015 with his loving family at his side. He went to join his Lord during the Lenten season just about two weeks shy of celebrating his 75 birthday. He was born in Lemitar, NM on March 21, 1940 to Manuel Lucario and Genoveva Andrea (Garcia) Santillanes. He proudly served in the United States Army and retired as a Lt. Colonel Chaplain after over 30 years of distinguished service. Flavio led a very robust, devoted, loving and giving life. He faithfully served the Lord and served many different Catholic communities in New Mexico as Parish Priest. Flavio's devotion to his Lord, his faith, family, friends, ministry and service was resilient. He loved to travel, dance, watch movies with his sister, and listen to Spanish music. He had a great sense of humor and you never saw Father Flavio without a welcoming smile on his face. He genuinely loved people. Flavio enjoyed and grinned with joy from ear to ear over his pineapple upside cake and maple syrup and peanut butter pancakes. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, and his baby sister, Josephine. Father Flavio is survived by his loving sister, Helen Barber and husband, Richard; his nieces, Tina Marie Barber; Lisa Anne Barber; and Cynthia Louise Arizmendi; his nephew, Richard Manuel Barber; his devoted cousin, Albert Garcia; and many other loving family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in Faith. Flavio enjoyed his great-nieces and nephews, Michael; Patricia; Matthew; Natalie; Genevieve; Feliciano; Josephina; and Antonio. A Reception of the body will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at La Sagrada Familia Church in Lemitar from 1:00pm until 6:00pm followed by the Vigil with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00pm at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro. The Mass of Christian Burial and Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Capilla La Todos Angeles - San Miguel Catholic Church Parish Hall. Interment will be held in the Lemitar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Albert Garcia, Jerry Griego, Ricky Griego, Matthew Barber, Michael Barber, and Feliciano Yanez. TURPIN, MARILYN SKIDMORE Age 86, was born on August 16, 1928 and passed away March 5, 2015. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Carroll. She is survived by three sons, Cody & wife Maritza, Lynn and partner Rosalie, & Tracy; sisters Sonja Smith and husband Larry, Rosemary Bohannon and husband Herb; her brother Thomas Skidmore; and eight grandchildren. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed their many card games and recounting of humorous past stories. She was the first of eight siblings and had great memories of travels with her family. Her siblings often said "she had a memory like an elephant." Marilyn was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

DANIEL, BILLY B. Age 84, longtime resident of Albuquerque, died February 25, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara; children, Debra Billings and husband Walter, Steven Daniel and wife Kathy, Linda Calvin, and Larry Daniel and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Shari and Cynthia, Michael and Elizabeth, John Isaac and Angelina Rose; and six great-grandchildren. Bill served 22 years in the United States Air Force and several years as a manager at Plateau Supply. After retirement, he volunteered at Kirtland AFB pharmacy and enjoyed square dancing, bridge, traveling and camping with family and friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria Rd. NE, Albuquerque, 87112. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Monday, March 9, 2015 honoring his military service. ROTH, LAWRENCE CHARLES Age 72, 35 year resident of Albuquerque, NM. He passed away after a long struggle with M.S., Saturday, February 28, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 8, 1942, to Sidney B. and Gertrude (Lieberman) Roth. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by his son, Eric Roth of Florida; sister, Mikki Roth-Loomis and husband Spud of Rio Rancho, NM. Larry rode many bicycle benefits for M.S. Society. He liked joking and kidding around with friends and caregivers, and enjoyed baseball, especially the NY Mets. Larry was a huge fan of all sports including the Lobos Men's Basketball Team. HOWERTON, HENRY "HANK" IVAN Age 76, of Albuquerque, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Lorna Howerton; his children, H. Ivan Howerton, Jr., and his wife Sherri, Elizabeth Hatcher and her husband Norman Hatcher Jr., Michael D. Howerton and his wife, Tami and J. Matthew Howerton and his wife Shelly. He also leaves his mother, Zelda Vanderpool; his sisters, Joanie Pack and Bertie Jackson; brothers, Virgil Howerton and Carmen Howerton. He had nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Hank was predeceased by his daughter, Lori Ann Howerton-Falls; his father, James Howerton; his former wife, Mary Ann Dobbs-Howerton; his sister, Betty Howerton; and two brothers, Duane and Larry Howerton. He served for three years in the US Air Force followed by a career of 35 years with the US Forest Service. During retirement, Hank volunteered with the North Domingo Baca Multi-Generational Center as a driver and was a board member of the North Domingo Baca Neighborhood Association. He was also active with NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees) Duke City Chapter 1411. Hank loved fishing, golf, bowling, bingo, football (especially the San Francisco 49ers) and Sci-Fi movies. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and those he loved. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service in Hank's honor on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming.
