Chiordi -- Joshua Nathaniel Chiordi, 18 years young, of Albuquerque, died March 31, 1998. He was the beloved son of Christy Chiordi of Albuquerque and David Chiordi of Palm Springs, CA, and David's wife, Dana Chiordi. Joshua is also survived by his older brother, Jeremy and his younger brother, Chad; grandparents, Mary Lou Kensler of Albuquerque, Martha and Ben Hite of Palm Springs, and Hilda Chiordi of Albuquerque; uncles and aunts, Tom Kensler af Arvada, CO, Siro Chiordi of Palm Springs, Mike and Helena McMullen of Albuquerque, Cindy Garcia of Albuquerque, Fine and Rio Score of Palm Springs, Daria and Bobby Lucarelli of West Covina, CA, and Pauline and Hughey Hardman of Anaheim, CA; and seven cousins. Joshua was born April 26, 1979 in Albuquerque. He attended Whittier grade school and Wilson and McKinley middle schools in Albuquerque, and Westminster (Colo.) and Arvada (Colo.) high schools. Services will be held Saturday, April 4, 3:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE, in Albuquerque. Sisneros -- Mrs. Lucy G. Sisneros, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 21, 1998. Herrera -- Mr. Herbert Herrera, 65, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away March 12, 1998. Mr. Herrera is survived by four sons, Pancho Herrera and wife, Eloisa, Mariano Herrera, Carlos Herrera, and Johnny Herrera; three sisters, Lucy Lucero and husband, Ernie, Priscilla Funkey and husband, Al, and Charlena Lopez; one grandson, Rick Herrera; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Herrera was a member of the Catholic Church. Lopez -- Pauline G. Lopez, 87, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 1998. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Lopez; son, James Lopez; and brother, Castullo Gutierrez. She is survived by four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Viewing will be on Wednesday, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and the rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Alameda. Vigil -- Mary Grande Vigil, born January 6, 1898 lived to be 100 years young. A life-long resident of Albuquerque, she passed away peacefully at St. Francis Nursing Home Thursday, March 5, 1998. She is survived by two children, Carmen Montoya and husband, Antonio, and Martin Vigil and long-time dedicated companion, Helen Kenney. Mary was also a mother to a second family, her granddaughters, Teresa Marie and Connie Louise. She raised the girls with their father when her daughter-in-law, Marie passed away. The girls were ages 4 and 2 at the time. This act of love was a testimony to her spirit of unselfish giving to her family and all those around her. She is also survived by one sister, Rose Garcia of Hesperia, CA; loving granddaughters, Frances Montoya of Albuquerque, Teresa Muldez and husband, Fran of Clayton, NM, Connie Spence and husband, Michael of Star, ID; and grandson, Richard Montoya and wife, Fran of Albuquerque; five great-grandchildren, Rachel Muldez, David Montoya, Mike Montoya, Stephen Montoya and Gabriel Martin Spence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin; her parents, Charlie and Carmelita Garcia Grande; her brothers, Diamonte Grande, Milton Grande; and sisters, Margaret Richardi and Felicia Richardson. She had many friends and acquaintances from her many years of service with J.C. Penney in downtown Albuquerque. Mary lived a very active life through her 94th birthday. Her father, Charlie Grande was born in Naples, Italy and was a pioneer businessman in Albuquerque. He was the proprietor of the White House Hotel and Restaurant-Saloon located on Railroad Avenue across the train depot in"New Albuquerque," now known as First Street. The family wishes to acknowledge Carmen and Frances Montoya for their daily loving care of our mother while she was at St. Francis Nursing Home as well as the staff at St. Francis for the wonderful care they gave to Mary over the past five years. Rosary will be held on Sunday, March 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, March 9 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
