KOPPE, MARILYNN Age 87, resident of Rio Rancho, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 7, 2014 after years of struggle with progressively disabling physical conditions. She was born in Watford City, ND on June 17, 1927, to Edward and Julia Yoerg (nee Croff). Marilynn is survived by her husband, Gene Koppe; her daughters, Delnita, Julie, Pamela; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. In 1945, she and her first husband, Delmar Evans were married and subsequently gave birth to three daughters, to whom she still represents the perfect example of motherhood. Marilynn had a career with JC Penny Company spanning 31 years and progressed from her beginning as a floor clerk, in Williston, ND, to a position of department manager in Albuquerque, NM. After the death of Del Evans, she married Gene Koppe in Rancho Cucamonga, CA before returning to the Albuquerque area in retirement. A Memorial Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am with the Memorial Mass following at 10:30 am October 22, 2014, at the Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Road NE, Rio Rancho, NM. SMITH, JERRY L. Age 77, died on Thursday October 16th, 2014. Jerry was a well-respected business man and loved member of the Albuquerque community. Jerry was an owner of a local Albuquerque business since 1962, a passionate musician, an avid fly fisherman, loving husband, father, grandfather and a generous friend to many. Born February 25th, 1937 in Weatherford, Texas, he lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico since the early 1950's. Survivors include his wife Debbie Smith and her children; his daughters Laurie Aragon and husband Mark, Linda Byrne and husband Tom, Deborah Debbs and husband Tracy; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Aragon, Spencer Aragon, Patrick Byrne, Samantha Byrne and Travis Debbs. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Jane Smith and his parents Lloyd Smith and Mamie Sue Smith. Services will be held 2:30pm on Thursday October 23rd 2014 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. A private burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. WATERS, ROBERT PATRICK Our beloved brother Robert, crossed over to the ever after October 13, 2014, taking with him a piece of our hearts. The bright eyed robust laughter, mischievous grin and unconditional love shall grace our days always. Robert's innocent acceptance, genuine care and concern for all will soothe the still night and warm the quiet morning. We are fortunate to have been favored to share in his journey, rewarded in our hearts for each moment he loved us. Robert was at once himself in the rhythm of rock and roll, alongside the roar of a Harley, captive within a howl for the Lobos and resolute in his admiration for Action Heroes. A sweet man with a sweeter tooth, savoring each satisfaction. A connoisseur of candy and a Sultan of soda. Robert was adored of children, the kindest and most gentle of souls. Pure of heart, uncomplicated and nonthreatening, an ease of honesty toward all. Brother dear brother, we lift our eyes to still see you. Brother dear brother, in our hearts we still feel you.
