"Pica" as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an extremely caring, compassionate, giving, strong, and independent woman. Kathy was a foster parent who made a tremendous impact on the lives of many children. Several of those children kept in contact with "mom" and still came to visit over the years. She was a very hard working person who always gave her all, even during her last days she thought to buy Christmas gifts for her husband, children and grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with her family and friends, camping, cooking and traveling. She was fortunate to have several great friends during her lifetime, but Leora Jacquez has been a dedicated friend over the past 40 years. Leora was with Kathy throughout many of her hospital stays and by her side, as was her family, when she went into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Kathy always loved being in the kitchen cooking up a new recipe that she watched on the food network. She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy, "Pica" will be dearly missed by all! Memorial services will be held at Sagebrush Christian Church, 6440 Coors Blvd. NW, on Tuesday Dec. 31st, 11:00 am. Reception to follow at Sagebrush Church.
