He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mariana; children, Brandon Ahrens and wife, Janet, Susan Moore and husband Roland, and Steven Ahrens and wife Malinda; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends. BARNES -- MARY LOUISE MUIR Age, 86, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, surrounded by her family. Born on December 30, 1924, in Hurley, New Mexico, she spent her early years in mining towns in Colorado and New Mexico. Marilou moved to Albuquerque to attend Albuquerque High School, graduating in 1941, and then began a career at Albuquerque National Bank where she met Paul H. Barnes who became her husband of more than 62 years. He and her eldest daughter, Sandra Joanne Barnes, predeceased her. Marilou is survived by her daughters, Emilou Barnes and her children, Paul Elliott Griswold and Kathryn Emma Elliott, and Paula Barnes-Felfeli, her husband Mitch Felfeli, and their children, Darren Barnes Felfeli, James Paul Felfeli, and Suzanne Marie Felfeli as well as her son-in law Edward D. Graham, Jr. Although Marilou's life was filled with community service activities and hobbies, especially needlework and travel, she was first and foremost a loving, devoted and selfless wife and mother who always thought of her family before herself. She will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched. A private family service celebrating her life was held on Friday, July 8, 2011. BARR -- GEORGE A. April 12, 1926 - July 4, 2011 Went to be with the Lord at age 85, after a long battle with multiple myeloma. George was born in Amanda, Ohio, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a parachute rigger. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and received his degree in Elementary Education. After marrying his wife Donna, they moved to Albuquerque in 1950 where he began his career with Albuquerque Public Schools as a physical education instructor at Lavaland Elementary School. After receiving his Master's Degree in School Administration in 1956, he became a principal at Los Padillas Elementary School. He continued to work as a principal at several schools up and down the valley before retiring from Alameda Elementary School in 1986. After retirement, George continued working with elementary children by volunteering to read with 2nd graders at Kirtland Elementary School. He was a charter member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and was active in the congregation for many years. George enjoyed playing senior softball, fishing, University of New Mexico Lobo athletics, and lots of traveling. He is survived by his wife, Donna, of 61 years; children, Ronica Caudill and husband Richard, Ned Barr, Rhoda Cain and husband Lee, Alene Hardin and husband John. George also has five grandchildren, Amanda and Bryan Cain, Kelsey Lenzmeier and husband Jason, Wes Hardin, Lynley Herig and husband Mitch. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa Ave. NE, at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22nd. BESSENT -- PATRICIA "TRISH" JOYCE CAMPBELL Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Patricia "Trish" Joyce Campbell Bessent, went to be with her Lord, Monday, June 20, 2011. She was born in Washington, D.C., December 16, 1940, and spent her young years in Maryland. Trish graduated from Valley High School in Albuquerque, NM, in 1959, and married her husband, Claude Lucky Bessent Jr., in Albuquerque on April 29, 1967. Trish and her husband moved to Wichita, Kansas, in 2001 where she was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church of Andover. Her heart was that of evangelism and she is now at rest with the One she so diligently served. She was also a member of the Spring Creek Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Barker Campbell, and her father, Andrew Joyner Campbell Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Jana (Dick) Jaxheimer of TN, and Betty Stevens of NM. Her husband, Claude Lucky Bessent Jr. of Wichita, KS; her son, Marc (Billie Jo) Bessent of FL; her daughters, Joyce (Frank) Baumann of TX, Darlene (Rich) Kerr of CA. Trish has twelve grandchildren Taylor, Shane and Nathan Baumann, Perrissa, Pearce and Caeden Bessent, Adam and Alec Hargraves, Shannon, Cory, Shain, and Cassie Kerr.

BRENNAN -- EDWARD J. "ED" Age 74, passed away in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, June 25, 2011. He was born on February 17, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY to Julia and Thomas Brennan. In November of 1955, the entire Brennan clan moved to Gallup, NM. Ed worked for the railroad before serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge on February 2, 1964. He eventually joined the Albuquerque Police Department and worked as an officer for APD until he retired in 1987 as a Lieutenant. Ed enjoyed music, traveling, working in his garden, cooking, playing softball, bowling, golfing with his buddies and going to the casino. He loved to spin a yarn or two whenever he had the chance. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy J. Nezzer of Las Cruces, NM, Anne Eccles and Elsa Swyers of Tucson, AZ, nephews Richard Nezzer and Lenore LaVerne of Las Cruces, NM, Robert Nezzer and his wife Linda of Cedar Crest, NM, Michael Nezzer and his wife Alice of Austin, TX and niece, Julianne Nezzer Bauer and husband Lane Bauer of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by his daughters, Terri Cooper and her children; Aaron, Kevin, Jackie and Justin of Moreno Valley, CA and Peggy Fletcher and her son Mark of Lancaster, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents Julia and Thomas Brennan and faithful canine companion, Meme. CATSOULES -- JOHN N. Of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died of congestive heart failure on July 9, 2011 At Lovelace Medical Center Hospice Unit. Mr. Catsoules was 79 years old. The son of Nick and Areti Catsoules, Mr. Catsoules was born on December 22, 1931 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was a graduate of Youngstown State University and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Preceding him in death was a brother, Emanuel N. Catsoules of Youngstown, Ohio. He leaves a brother, Paul N. Catsoules, of Sun City, AZ; a niece, Christina A. Toras of Pittsburgh, PA; a nephew, Nicholas E. Catsoules of Youngstown, Ohio; and a nephew, Nicholas P. CROSBY -- GERALD (JERRY) LEE Age 93, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. He was born October 1917, in Ossining, New York to Helen and Hiram P. Crosby. Jerry grew up in Ossining, New York. After attending Union College in Schenectady, Jerry worked as a civil engineer for the Panama Canal Company, Panama. He then went into the military, serving in the Air Force as a B-25 pilot. He was a proud veteran of WWII. He fulfilled a lifetime passion for aviation and travel as a Civil Engineer with the US Federal Government, and an advisor to foreign governments in airport design and construction during numerous overseas assignments. His career with the government spanned over thirty seven years. Jerry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley, four children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one beloved dog. He was a gentle man who loved chocolate, lemon drops, whistling and driving with leather gloves. He was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. The family would like to thank the tremendous assistance provided by Vista Care Hospice and Eldercare Solutions. Interment of cremains, handled by Daniels Family Funeral Services, will be at the National Veterans Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

JARAMILLO -- LEONARD "LENNY" RAY Age 39, beloved and devoted son, father, and brother, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 5, 2011. He was a resident of Albuquerque, where he attended and graduated with the Class of 1990 from Eldorado High School. Lenny was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, and enjoyed basketball and baseball. MEADOWS -- LINDA Age 54, passed away peacefully while in her sleep on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. She was born on October 2, 1956 to Roland and Nina Hewitt in Alexandria, VA. Her life was filled with more than her fair share of illness, however, she used every moment of her life putting the needs of others before her own. Linda dedicated her life to caring for her family, especially her parents, uncle, children and grandchildren; and she dedicated her career to helping emotionally and physically disabled children. MONTOYA -- SARAH L. Age 96, beloved mother and grandmother, left her life on earth to join the Lord and her family in heaven on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. She was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Nestora Lucero; her husband, Louis Montoya; son, James Montoya; brothers, George, Sigfriedo, Jose, Benjamin, Eddie, Max and Pablito; her sisters, Maria, Reina, and Carolina. Sarah is survived by her children, Robert Montoya, Cecilia P. Zamora, Beverly Montoya (Wayne Sandoval; her nephew she raised as her son, Joe (Sonny) Lucero. Our Nana was blessed with eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and other numerous relatives and friends. Sarah's family was truly blessed to have her for 96 years. She will be missed dearly. A Rosary will be recited today (Sunday) at 4:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Service of Christian Burial will be Monday at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. PITTI -- ANEDA (ANN) ARMIJO Born in Encino, NM in 1921 to Apolonio Armijo and Maria Lucero Armijo, died on July 2, 2011 at the age of 90. Her husband Joseph Pitti, whom she married in December 1942, passed away in 2005. She is survived by her son Joseph A. Pitti and daughter-in-law Edith Elser Pitti of Sacramento, CA; grandson Stephen Pitti and wife Alicia Schmidt Camacho of New Haven, CT; granddaughter Gina Marie Pitti and husband Michael Friedman of San Jose, CA; granddaughter Catherine Pitti and husband Christian Esquivel of Sacramento, CA; great-grandchildren Antonio and Thalia Pitti, Araceli and Amalia Friedman-Pitti, and Benjamin and Jacob Esquivel; brother Leo Armijo and his wife Rachel along with their family in Albuquerque; and her extended family in New Mexico, California, and Missouri. Ann attended high school in Santa Rosa, NM and business college in Santa Fe. During World War II she worked for the Atomic Energy Commission in Los Alamos and as a Red Cross volunteer. After 22 years at Albuquerque's Sandia Laboratories, she retired as an Executive Secretary in 1969. An avid gardener, a devoted friend and family member, and a loving caretaker of her pet dogs, cats, and turtles, she was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Her family and friends will miss the strength of her convictions, her generosity, and her gentle, independent spirit. A Rosary will be recited in Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services (1100 Coal Ave SE) on Monday, July 11, 20110 at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Internment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. PRITCHARD -- RUTH Age 87, born August 17, 1923 in Birmingham, Alabama, passed away July 2, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family after a year long battle with cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Wallace; sons, Wayne and (Martha) of Trinidad, Co., David and (Denise) of Jemez Springs, NM; daughter, Becky Hight and husband, Steve of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Dr. Shannon Pritchard of Athens, GA., Eli Pritchard and wife, Brandi, of Trinidad, Co., Baines Pritchard of Telluride, Co., Jasun Pritchard of Chandler, AZ, Jessica Wiles and husband, Justin of Richmond, TX, Steve Hight of Glendale, AZ, and Amy Price and husband, Buddy of Duncan, AZ; great-grandchildren, Blake and Avery Pritchard, Wayne Hight, Jamie and Brandon Price, and Smith Benson Wiles. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, David Benson McCleskey and Ruth Roberta Dunn McCleskey; sister, Birda Payne; brothers, Robert, Jack and Ben McCleskey all of Birmingham. She always loved visiting her family in Birmingham and surrounding areas where she is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Ruth retired from Civil Service at KAFB, and then moved to Jemez Springs, NM, where she enjoyed gardening and family visits for many wonderful holiday dinners and summer visits by her grandchildren. After 20 years in Jemez, she moved to Rio Rancho in 1993. She spent many happy years traveling with her husband, Wallace, in their van and trailer, buying and selling antiques and collectibles at various flea markets and toy shows around the country. Whether she was called wife, mother, grandmother, gg, sister, friend or aunt, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank her wonderful nurse, Liz Hayes, with Presbyterian Hospice for her loving care. Her care has been entrusted to Direct Funeral Services where cremation has taken place and a private disposition will take place.

PUCKETT -- ORA JO Died peacefully in Edmond, OK on July 5, 2011 with her beloved grandsons by her side. She was 94 years old. Ora Jo was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma on August 12, 1916 to Orria Owen and Mary Ellen Hunt. She resided in Hughes County during the early part of her life where she married and started her family. Her husband was mayor of Wetumka, Ok and consequently she became an active part of the political arena. After the death of her first husband, Herman "Red" Darks, she met and married Marvin Puckett. This marriage would be the beginning of a new life for her on the Navajo Reservation. It would set in motion the union that would create the family that would love and cherish her until the day she died. Jo made volunteering an instrumental part of her life wherever she lived. While on the Reservation she was an advocate for the Navajo people and was instrumental in the developing and construction of a new Indian hospital that serves the people to this day. While living in Belen, NM, Jo volunteered at the Belen Harvey House Museum which brought a rich piece of history to her community. The most important part of her life was her family. She was tireless in supporting, encouraging, nurturing and loving them. We are forever grateful for her presence in our lives. Surviving family members include her son Don Darks and his wife Lori Darks; grandchildren, Tanya and Ron Boucher, Troy and Rachel Darks, Bryan Darks and Dalita Albert, Ryan and Jen Darks, Randy and Jennifer Dunning, Sarah Dunning; great-grandchildren, Tayah Marie Darks, Jennie Jo-Lee Darks, Dycen Wayne Darks, Alyson Darks, Isaiah Dunning and Jada Dunning. Ora Jo was preceded in death by her husband Herman "Red" Darks (Deceased in 1956), Oklahoma State Legislator and Mayor of Wetumka, OK and Husband of 52 Years Marvin Puckett (Deceased in 2009), Jennie Lou Darks and Chris Boucher. TIPTON -- JEFFREY WALLACE Age 32, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, July 7, 2011. He was a lover of animals, plants and the great outdoors. Jeff had worked at a local nursery tending to plants, was an instructor for snowboarding at Sandia Ski Basin and most recently, started his own business known as Floor Coatings Unlimited, LLC. All who knew him were aware of his kind and gentle nature, a true sweet soul who is truly loved and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sherman Payne; his grandparents, Andrew and Mae Tipton; and by his cousin, Barbara E. Tipton. Jeff is survived by his lovely wife Jeanette; his grandmother, Emille Payne; his mother, Phyllis Hayes and stepfather Russ; his father, Gary Tipton and stepmother, Suzan; by his brother, Jason Tipton; niece, Julia Tipton; and in-laws, Art and Kathy Hartman; Mike and Nikki Criscolo, Jason and Carrie Hartman and nieces Mabel, Lucie and Emma Hartman.
