DAVIS -- David Harrison Davis, age 79, went to be with his Lord on August 12, 2009 in Rio Rancho, NM. He was born in Nashville, TN to Raymond and Thelma Davis. He moved to Albuquerque with his parents in 1944 when he was only 14 and helped his father in the family jewelry shop. David proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict for the United States Air Force. He worked for Sandia National labs in research and development. David is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mildred Davis, their children, two sons, Ralph Davis and wife, Bonnie of Algodones, NM, Ray Davis and wife, Denise of Niles, MI and one daughter, Louise Budagher and husband, Si of Rio Rancho. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. David was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter born in 1966, Louseneth Christine Davis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Celebration Baptist Church, 5620 Laredo Rd, NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144, with Pastor David Brittain officiating. EL KOMOS -- Sawsan El Komos 64 passed away on August 12, 2009. She is the mother of Joyce Barsoum and her husband Osama Hanna and Mary Barsoum. She is the grandmother of Farah and Farida Hanna. She is the sister of Hoda Angelios and her son John, George Angelios and his late wife, Eva El Yusef and her daughter Miriam, Manuel Angelios and his wife Ana and children Anthony and Thomas and Nadia Norvik and her son Philip and AW Angelios his wife Rosa and daughter Christa. She is the niece of Adriana Easton and her husband George Eaton and the late Sobhi Guergues and his wife Sue. She is the cousin of Andy Eaton and his wife Tammy and Nader Amin and his wife Mary. Funeral Service will be at Gate of Heaven at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday August 15, 2009.

ESTERRIPA -- Gloria Esterripa 1939 - 2009 In Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 8th, 2009,at the age of 70 years, Mrs. Gloria Esterripa passed away. Gloria moved to the USA from Peru fifteen years ago. She was a lively and friendly person who loved to dance and get together with family and friends. She leaves in grief her children, Giuliana Diamond (and husband Bob Diamond) and Eduardo Venegas (and wife Fatima Venegas) Her grandchildren; Daniel, Kenny and Kevin Diamond and Richard and Itis Venegas. As well as many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. The funeral service will be held in the presence of the ashes at 1:00pm, on Monday, August 17th, 2009 at the Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE Albuquerque, New Mexico. Internment will be in Peru. (Immediately following the service refreshments and light snacks will be served in the social hall) A monetary donation in lieu of funeral flowers to the Charity of your choice is greatly appreciated. HEATH -- Louis Edward Heath Jr., 85, resident of San Ysidro, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009. Jr. is survived by his sisters, Cora Bell Stout of San Ysidro, Edna Springer and husband, Lloyd Melvin of Vancouver, WA, and Jean Bobb and husband, Dale of Albuquerque; 13 nieces and nephews; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Florence Eldridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Edward Sr. and Lula Lois Heath; niece, Bernice May; great-nephew, Douglas Connor; and brother-in-law, Ray Stout. IRELAND -- Charlotte T. Ireland, 88, of Albuquerque passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009. She was born in Albuquerque to Ike and Gertrude Singer on February 13, 1921. After attending Albuquerque schools, she married her childhood sweetheart, Kenneth Reid, who died in a military training accident in 1942. In 1944, Charlotte married Edward Ireland and raised a family of five children in Amityville, NY. Upon Edward's passing in 1994, she returned to Albuquerque, residing at 209 14th St SW. She is survived by her five children and 11 grandchildren. Charlotte enjoyed flying, golf, bridge and charity work. She will be memorialized at the 11:00 a.m. Service at First United Methodist Church on Lead Ave on Sunday, August 16, 2009. A reception for family and friends will follow in the church parlor. KOCH -- Robert Bruce Koch of Albuquerque died on Wednesday, August 12. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1927, the son of George Frederick Koch, Jr, and Lysle Drake Koch. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received his BA from the University of Cincinnati in 1950 with a degree in mathematics. In 1957 he completed his fellowship in the Society of Actuaries and was also a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He worked for the Union Central Life Ins. Co. in Cincinnati, and was a vice president of the John Hancock Life in Boston and Albuquerque until his retirement in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Jane Vinsonhaler Koch, two sons, John W. Koch, and wife Sharon of Casper, WY, and Dr. Thomas L. Koch and wife Peggy of Califon, NJ. Grandchildren are Sarah K. Jarrard, husband Olin of Casper, and twin great-grandsons, Daniel and Zachary Jarrard; William G. Koch of Denver, CO; Amanda K. Santistevan and husband Kasey of Casper, and great-grandchildren Victoria Sargent and Lucas Santistevan; Dr. Brian R. Koch of Burlingame, CA; and Marianne E. Koch of Brooklyn, NY. Bob served as a docent at the Albuquerque BioPark aquarium for seven years, and also volunteered as an AARP director of tax aid training for several years. He and his wife were residents of Four Hills for 25 years and have lived at La Vida Llena since 2007. There will be a reception at La Vida Llena on Monday afternoon, August 17 at 2 p.m. and interment will take place on Tuesday, August 18 in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. LAW -- Miriam Law, 97, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009. She is survived by her son, Jim Law and wife, Corinne of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nile Law of Dallas, TX, and Melanie Law and husband, Jon Kornbluh of Ridgway, CO; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Sara Law, and Jonah and Ruben Kornbluh; and sister, Ann Cromwell of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Law. Miriam was born in Pawnee, LA on July 3, 1912. She lived for many years in Texas. She and her husband moved to Albuquerque in 1988. Miriam was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Her role as homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother were of prime importance to her. PADILLA -- Antonio Jose Padilla Died at the family home on upper Canyon Road on August 11, 2009. He was 87 years old. He is survived by his sisters: Rosie Gallegos and Adelina LeFebre; sisters-in-law: Eloyda Garcia and husband Rudy; Ziola Rivera; and brother-in-law, Matias Rivera. He is also survived by his six children: his daughter, Carmen Carrillo and husband Michael Kuhlewind, their children: Andrew and Mike (Connie) Carrillo; his son, Leo Padilla and children: Joseph Padilla, Celina Varela, Tanya, Antonio and Matthew Padilla; his daughter, Maria Padilla Enyart and husband Steve, their daughter, Marisol; his daughter, Cesaria (Cia) Tapia and children: Donna (Mark) Gurule, Bianca and Steven Barela; daughter, Ana Padilla and her daughter Marisa Danielson; and his son Carlos Padilla and children David, Nicole and Arianne Padilla. He also has nine great grandchildren: Angelica, Andres, Mannie, Samantha Padilla, Amber, Diego, Samantha Gurule and Lucas. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited at Cristo Rey Church on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Cristo Rey Church on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 9 a.m. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. at The Santa Fe National Cemetery. SCHUTTE -- Bradley D. Schutte of Minneapolis passed away in Minneapolis on July 31, 2009. Brad is survived by his daughters Annabelle and Madeleine; his parents Kathleen Craig of Minneapolis, Gordon (Carol Schutte of Edgewood; step sisters Jennifer (Michael) Noble, Jessica (Bryan) Hill; and step brother Joey (Kijrstin) Minarsich, all of Albuquerque. A mass of Christian burial preceded burial in Minneapolis on August 6, 2009. THOMAS -- Stanley Ellis Thomas, father, brother, friend and veteran, 62, born April 20, 1947 in Pueblo, Colorado, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Stan, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully from complications with cancer. Preceded in death by his beloved mother Georgia LaBar and stepfather Joe Thomas; he is survived by his son Sean Aguilar-Thomas and wife Christine Clemetson, sister Pam and husband, Randy Allen; nieces and nephews Kim Massey-Dimsha and husband Mark, Andrew and Matthew Rhyand, Mackenzie Allen; and great-nephew Max Dimsha, all of Albuquerque.
