Charlotte T. Ireland, 88, of Albuquerque passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009. She was born in Albuquerque to Ike and Gertrude Singer on February 13, 1921. After attending Albuquerque schools, she married her childhood sweetheart, Kenneth Reid, who died in a military training accident in 1942. In 1944, Charlotte married Edward Ireland and raised a family of five children in Amityville, NY. Upon Edward's passing in 1994, she returned to Albuquerque, residing at 209 14th St SW. She is survived by her five children and 11 grandchildren. Charlotte enjoyed flying, golf, bridge and charity work. She will be memorialized at the 11:00 a.m. Service at First United Methodist Church on Lead Ave on Sunday, August 16, 2009. A reception for family and friends will follow in the church parlor.
