GARCIA -- Juanita Garcia, 91, passed away March 23, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born February 25, 1917, to Elladio and Ramunda Arbelo in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She was a nurse's aide for 25 years and retired from Byrd S. Cola Hospital, Welfare Island, New York City. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her children, Lucinda Rosario of Pocatello, ID; Emily Forestiero of Surfside, SC; John A. Garcia of Rio Rancho, NM; Obdulia (Judy) Perez of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jose Garcia of Mariposa, AZ, and Henry Garcia of Rio Rancho, NM. GATES -- Lee Gates III, MD, 67, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at his home. Lee was born on June 7, 1940 in Denver, CO to Lee Gates, Jr. and Edith (Larsen) Gates. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Walla Walla College in Washington in 1963 and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University in 1970. Dr. Gates worked as a clinical pathologist at Lovelace Medical Center from 1978 until his retirement in 2006. While there he served as Chairman of the Pathology Department for many years. Lee was a member of the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church since 1990, where he was actively involved in the music department. He is survived by his two children, Warren Gates of Seattle, WA, and Heather Wilson and husband, Lance of Santa Rosa, CA; and their three children; his father, Lee Gates, Jr. and step-mother, Delphine Gates, both of Grand Junction, CO; brother, Garry Gates of Placerville, CA; sister, Sandra Drobny of Grand Junction, CO; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2201 Estancia Dr. NW, with private burial following. HERRERA -- Randy Joseph Herrera, 20 years old, passed away Friday March 21, 2008. He was born in Albuquerque, NM March 11, 1988, and has been an Albuquerque resident all his life. He was a landscaper, a brother, a son, a fiance, an uncle, a cousin, a nephew, a friend, and a soon-to-be father. He always had a smile on his face and made sure others did as well. Randy J. Herrera is survived by his mother, Joann F. Herrera; father, Randolph Herrera; sister, Erica S. Herrera her fiance, Vijayant Gaur; niece, Sairah Gaur; brother, Jesse Herrera; brother, Anthony Franki Herrera; fiance, Stephanie Alderete; soon-to-be son, Randy Leroy Herrera Jr.; grandmother, Francis Martinez; grandpa, Lizardo Herrera; Godparents, Theresa and Bill Gonzales; many cousins; and friend, Eddie Chavez. The Herrera Family will receive family and friends for a Rosary on Tuesday March 25, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. located at St Francis Church 820 Broadway Blvd SE. HILTBRUNNER -- William "Bill" Hiltbrunner, age 60, of Rio Rancho, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 22, 2008 with his family at his side. Bill was born in Nanuet, NY to Charles M., and Elein Hiltbrunner, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Chari. After graduation from high school, Bill enlisted in the Army. Since that time he has been greatly involved in the DAV, Trench Rats & American Legion. Bill loved traveling and cataloging his trips in photographs. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the fishing club of Rio Rancho. Earlier in his life, because of his love of animals, he had become a veterinary technician. In 1972, Bill was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which he valiantly fought. Bill is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 38 years; son Daniel of Overland Park, KS; daughter, Ashley of the home. Friends may visit French Mortuary Tuesday, March 25, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 26, at 11:00 AM, at French Mortuary Westside Chapel with a reception to follow. A private interment service will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. KAEDING -- James Leslie Kaeding, former Albuquerque resident, 67, of Bellevue, WA, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Jim was born July 30, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to Burnell and Lois (Ehlert) Kaeding. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Caroline Barrett Kaeding; his daughter Lisa Weber (Ken Nichols) of Bellevue; son Erik (Kristina) of Renton; three granddaughters: Kelsey and Liliana Kaeding and Amy Nichols; brothers, Richard Kaeding (Darlene) of Burbank, IL and Douglas Kaeding (Carolyn) of Klamath Falls, OR as well as numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Kaeding. A celebration of life will held Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Glen Acres Golf Club in Seattle. LUCERO -- Raymond "Ramon" G. Lucero, age 68, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, entered into Eternal Life, Saturday, March 22, 2008. He was a resident of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Sr. and Amalia Lucero; and three brothers, Rubel, Alfonso, and George Lucero. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Ethel Lucero; his children, Doreen Jaramillo and husband, Steve, Raymond Lucero Jr. and wife, Diane, Paul Lucero, Sammy Lucero, and Sandra Ramirez and husband, Eddie; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Willie Lucero Jr., Peter Lucero, and Edward Lucero; six sisters, Mary Lou Bernal, Virginia Lucero, Lolie Leyba, Cathy Garcia, Anna Corral, and Lupita Martinez; and countless friends and relatives. Raymond loved his family, laughter, and life itself. He will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, March 27, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd., NW.
