MAESTAS -- Max born August 27, 1921, died January 1, 1997. Eleven years ago today you went home. It was our favorite holiday, our 51stwedding anniversary and it can never be the same without you. If I could have one more chance to see your smile, I would tell you how much I love and miss you. It broke my heart to lose you but you didn't go alone. A part of me went with your that cold, winter morning. No farewell was spoken. You were gone before I knew it. A million times I've cried. If only I could have saved you, you would still be here by my side. Times goes by and seasons change. To some you may be forgotten, to others a part of the past, but to me because I love you so dearly, your memory will always last. Sometimes I hear you in the silence of the night and sometimes I see you in my dreams, or out of the corner of my eye. Sometimes I talk to you in silent whispers, reach out for your hand, and then pray for an answer. I just wish you were here even if it were for only one more day to chase away the memory of the cold day when you left my side. You cannot be replaced by someone new because there is no one else in the world like you. The pain of your loss will stay. My heart will still ache. My tears will fall until the end of my life. I Love you very much. Your wife, Dora
