BILODEAU -- Inez E. Bilodeau, 102, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008. She is survived by her children, Jean Saran and husband, Walter of Albuquerque, Donald Bilodeau and wife, Theresa of Lake of the Hills, IL, and Rita Nelson and husband, Robert of Zeeland, MI; twelve grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren; and her care-givers, Blanca and Humberto Gasson. Mrs. Bilodeau was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Bilodeau and her granddaughter, Susan Martin. Inez was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She volunteered at the Gift Shop at St. Joseph's Hospital. A Rosary will be recited, Friday December 26 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, December 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee. BLACKBURN -- William Blackburn, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, December 21, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Blackburn; two daughters, Christina Leopold and husband Robert of Los Lunas, NM, and Sissy Odom and husband Mike of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Joshua Derrig, Michael Odom, Cameron Leopold and Symone Sanchez. Brother-in-law Jerry Hamilton and wife George Ann. Nephew Roger Blackburn and wife Tracy, niece Stephanie Blackburn-Jorgensen and husband Gordon; niece Whitney Hamilton, niece Ashley Brady and husband Mike. Great-niece Kristina Blackburn; his faithful dog Sam, and numerous other relatives and friends. Bill, or as he was affectionately known as "Blackie" to his friends, schoolmates, and construction colleagues was born in Springfield, IL January 24, 1925 to Simon and Bessie Blackburn. He and his family moved to New Mexico in 1937. Bill attended Lincoln Middle School and Albuquerque High School where he graduated in 1943. While attending Albuquerque High School, he actively participated and lettered in football, basketball, and track and was honored many times in the Hall of Fame at AHS. Immediately following graduation, he joined the Marine Corps where he proudly served in WWII. Bill married Sylvia February 19, 1955. Bill had a long and successful career in construction where he worked with his father, nephew and many other life long friends. Bill was a member of Heights Christian Church. After his retirement Bill passionately served on the Alumni Association for Albuquerque High School where he was recently acknowledged for his dedication and service. The family wishes to sincerely express their gratitude to the dedicated angels of the Presbyterian Hospice Services for all they did for Bill in the last few months of his life - we don't know what we would have done without you. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at Heights Christian Church, 6935 Comanche Rd., N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87110, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 3:00 pm. EBINGER -- Virginia Nylander Ebinger, 79, died in Albuquerque, NM on December 18, 2008. She is survived by Gene, her husband of 51 years; son Michael and wife Britt Ravnan of Santa Fe, NM; son John of Phoenix, AZ; daughter Annie Apodaca and husband Victor of Santa Fe, NM; daughter Mary Ebinger and husband Dan Nicol of Rio Rancho, NM; and five grandchildren, Mary Apodaca (20), Carl Ebinger (18); Philip Apodaca (17) Timothy Ebinger (15), Justin Archuleta (11); and one step-granddaughter, Chelsey Nicol (13). Virginia (Ginny) was born January 23, 1929 in Tucumcari, NM, graduated Tucumcari Rattler in 1947, and received BA and MS music degrees from Texas Christian University for Women in Denton, TX. She taught elementary school music in Mississippi and Texas then moved to Los Alamos, NM in 1954 where she taught and lived until 2007. She met Gene in Los Alamos, and they married June 8, 1957. Ginny interrupted her life as a music educator to raise four children, but returned to teaching in 1971. On her return she discovered the Orff-Schulwerk method of music education. Her passion to teach spanned 35 years as she brought Orff-Schulwerk to an international cadre of educators and reached many people through her work. She served as the president of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA) in the United States, received the AOSA Distinguished Service Award in 2006, and remained a member until her death. Ginny also authored several books on music of different areas, and her most recent book, "Aguinaldos" was published by Sunstone Press in December, 2008. A Memorial Service with Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church in Los Alamos, NM at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2008; Private Interment will follow the Service. ESQUIBEL -- Benjamin Esquibel, 88, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 with his wife by his side and his loved ones nearby. Ben was from Velarde, NM and has been a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his children, Peggy Esquibel, Helen Baca, Wilfred Esquibel, Paz Esquibel and Andrew Esquibel. Ben was very devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Pauline; his children, Adonaise and wife, Fita, Joseph, Clifford, Alvin and wife, Jo Ann, Yvette Kensic and husband, Stan, and David Baca. He has 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Brandon Esquibel, Walter Esquibel, Julian Esquibel, Wilfred Esquibel, Anthony Esquibel and Johnny Rodriguez Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Montoya and Angie Brennan. GREENACRE -- Marjorie E. Greenacre, 85, passed away December 20, 2008. She was born to Elizabeth and Thomas Delaney on January 19, 1923, in Cobb, WI. Marjorie is survived by her three children, Bob E. Greenacre, (Lauren) of Albuquerque, NM, Roger L. Greenacre, of Truth or Consequences, NM, and Donna M. Frederick, (Dale) of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren, Karen, Rebeca, Jodie, Mark, and Robin; seven great grandchildren, Abigale, Emma, Megan, Zackary, Jordan, Kimmy, and Bret; one sister, Helen Eaton, of Kingman, AZ; various other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Irvan F. Greenacre. Marjorie was a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years. She enjoyed sewing for many years. HOYT -- Evelyn G. Hoyt, 86, of Albuquerque and formerly of Aberdeen, SD, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at her home. Services will be held at French Mortuary Westside Chapel in Albuquerque, on Friday, December 26, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., with Tad Fish officiating. Evelyn G. Hoyt was born on July 16, 1922, to Willard and Elizabeth (Brubaker) Kennedy in Waukon, Minnesota. She lived in and around the Waukon, MN and Gary, MN area until the age of 16. She married Leslie C. Hoyt on January 3, 1939, in Gary, Minnesota. They lived in Gary until 1949, when they moved to Dell Rapids, SD. In 1955, they moved to Aberdeen, SD and resided there until 1993 when she and her husband moved to Albuquerque where she resided until her death. She loved to sew and knit for her family. She loved to play cards and enjoyed spending time with her dog, Bubba. She was a wonderful mother and friend. Survivors include her children, two sons, Richard Hoyt of Palm Desert, California, and Larry (April) Hoyt of Burlington, KY; six daughters, Patricia Giese, Lois "Dodie" (Darwin) Wagemann and Penny (Robert) Louder, all of Albuquerque, Sharon (Andy) Castro of Riverside, California, Jan (Richard) Dehne of Hecla, SD and Dixie (Dennis) Johnson of Goodwin, SD; 36 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. MASIERO -- Phyllis Virginia Uhlman Masiero, 90, died peacefully December 17, 2008 at her home. Born in Davenport, Iowa, Phyllis traveled to New Jersey where she met her husband Peter. They were married for 62 years and had one daughter. She is survived by her husband; daughter; granddaughter; son-in-law; and her two sisters. Things she loved were Pete, the Jersey shore, New York theatre, traveling, shopping, and the movies. She will be dearly missed. PETTIS -- James Harrison Pettis was called by the Lord to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, surrounded by his family. Jim was the youngest of six children born to Leonard and Minnie Bell Pettis, on March 19, 1932 in Clayton, NM. One of his first jobs was working as a milkman for Creamland Dairies. One day after work, a friend asked him home to introduce Jim to his sister, who ended up being the love of his life. He was married to Nancy Jane Skinner for 53 years. They moved to Los Lunas, NM in 1959 where they had their three daughters. He worked for ACF until the plant closed in 1967 and then worked 27 years at General Electric before his retirement. He was proud to be a charter member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Belen Lodge. As a Moose, he held the office of Governor and earned the organization's Fellowship degree. He was also a member of the International Association of Machinists for 52 years. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Audrey DeMenno and husband, Vince, and Cheryl Trujillo and husband, John; his eldest sister, Lorean Roberts. In addition he has five grandchildren, Damien DeMenno, Devin James DeMenno, Andrea Trujillo, Raquel Trujillo, James Calvin Pettis and his fiancee, Melissa Chavez. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sabrina Blahetka; parents, Leonard and Minnie Bell Pettis; brother, Leonard Edward Pettis; and sisters, Ester LaMunyon, Mavis Dean and June Pettis. He will always be remembered for his quiet way of offering help with a smile. PINSON -- Wyatt "Tim" Pinson, 85, went home to be with his Heavenly Father and his family that have gone on before him, on Sunday, December 21, 2008. Born to Henry and Bertha Davis Pinson at Branchland, WV, Tim was the seventh of ten children. He owned and operated his own business for 16 years at Midkiff and Ranger, WV. Tim and Cleo, his wife, moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1962 for health reasons. Tim became disabled in 1978, and fought a debilitating disease that took over his body and life for many years. He defied death several times with miracles being performed in his life. Tim was a member of Berean Baptist Church for many years. He loved his Heavenly Father, his country, and family that included his little dachshunds. His love for automobiles resulted in a collection of miniature Fords. Tim never became too ill to lose his sense of humor or to sing a song. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cleo, and two sisters, Hazel Hatten and Lois Schwagel, all of Dayton, OH; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harry, Carl, Charles Ray, and Paul; and sisters, Palma Workman, Mayme Gunshefski and Virginia Carmody. STUVE -- Kermitt Kragh Stuve, 81, died peacefully at home Wednesday, December 17, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Nettie (Kragh) Stuve; brother, Greg; his wife, Mary, of 51 years; and son, Todd. He is survived by his sister, Jeanette; daughter, Nancy Dewbre and husband Joe of Paris, France; sons, Mark and wife, Carolyn of Las Cruces and Jeff and wife, Mary Jo of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Joshua Dewbre, Todd Stuve and wife, Tessa, Kara Stuve, Jacob Stuve and Kelsey Stuve with great-grandchildren, Lucas and Elliot. Kermitt was born November 20, 1927, Creighton, NE. It was there that he learned to love the farm, team, people and the state of Nebraska. He graduated from Wayne State Teacher's' College and earned a Master's Degree from Northern Colorado University. He was a lifelong educator and advocate for New Mexico's developmentally disabled. His efforts positively impacted many throughout the state. In 1987, he retired as the Executive Director of ARC of New Mexico. He was a man of integrity who fought through his many health challenges with dignity and an infectious sense of humor. He will be remembered as a great husband, father and friend. WEAVER -- Herman Lee Weaver, 92, went home to the Lord on Monday, December 22, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving husband of 72 years and is survived by his wife, Cathrene. He was a devoted father to his three daughters, Margaret and husband, Glen Witt, Linda Hamilton and Judy and husband, Leonard Farmer. Pop-O is survived by 21 grandchildren, Lance and wife, Connie Witt, Dwain and wife, Kym Witt, Derek and wife, Christee Witt, Sharla and husband, Roger Ward, Sean and wife, Lisa Hamilton, Shea and wife, Tonya Hamilton, Shannon and husband, Jason Yachik, Roy Dee Thompson, Kevin and wife, Delisa Farmer, Ricky Farmer, Tammy Billett, Tim and wife, Sharla Beth Farmer; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his sister, Theda Bass and husband, W. C. Bass of Roanoke, TX. Herman was a life-long resident of New Mexico. He was a long term truck driver and retired from CF when he was 70. He was known most of his career as "Pappy". He was a dedicated Christian man and was a member of Fruit Avenue Baptist and Sandia Baptist Churches for many years. Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2008, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Service will be Saturday, December 27, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Lomas Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd., NE. WEBER -- Gary P. Weber, 79, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008. Mr. Weber was born on July 31, 1929 in Omaha, NE and moved to Albuquerque when he was 14 years old. He served more than 10 years with the Air National Guard. He married Lorraine (Reynolds) Weber on March 9, 1956 in Albuquerque. He was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Weber will be remembered for his love of collecting model trains, his well kept yard, boating and fishing. He is preceded in death by a son, Thomas Clark, in 1972. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lorraine Weber, of the family home; daughter, Marilyn Trevithick and her husband, Jim, of Bosque Farms, NM; grandchildren, Jamie Miller and James Trevithick; great-grandchildren, Devon and Alexia Miller; brother, Ward Weber; and four nieces. A Viewing and Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., also in the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. Pastor Beth Purdum of St. Luke's Lutheran Church will conduct the services. Mr. Weber will then be laid to rest at Fairview Memorial Park with Military Honors.
