SENA -- Rafael Pedro Sena "Ralph" of Tucson answered the call of the Lord on November 21, 2008. Though time took his body, his soul will live forever in the hearts of those who lived in his loving shadow. Ralph was born June 22, 1921 in Albuquerque, NM. His roots in New Mexico trace back ten generations to Bernardino de Sena y Valle in 1693. The son of Rafael H. Sena and Abundia Sanchez, Ralph was the youngest of six children. Ralph served honorably in WWII as a Communications Lineman in the U.S. Army. He married Angelina Sanchez, whom he lovingly called "Heli," on September 4, 1949. Ralph worked 18 hour days on his own ranch, operating the Sena Farm Dairy, and working for Creamland Dairies in New Mexico for many years before losing his arm in a tragic accident in 1979. Despite his loss, Ralph enjoyed art, fishing, gardening, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved our Lord and devoted his life to serving Our Lady of Guadalupe as a member of the Guadalupanos of Albuquerque, NM. Ralph and his family relocated to Tucson, AZ in 1989 where he continued to pursue his hobbies and enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow. He is survived by his sister, Acension Sena Martinez of Santa Fe, NM; his wife, Angelina; four children and their loving spouses Molly (John) Collins, Dan (Becky) Sena, Bobby (Corina) Sena, and Tina (Jeff) Bradford. He had nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
