JARAMILLO -- Rachel "Cookie" Jaramillo, 57, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 9, 2007. She is survived by her son, Matthew Jaramillo; mother, Mary Alire; sisters, Lorraine Chavez and husband, Orlando; Barbara Garcia and husband, Charles; Espie Montoya and husband, Ernie; and Dorothy Borden and husband, Christopher; brother, Thomas "Butch" Jaramillo; nieces, Cynthia Chavez, Amber Garcia and Mariah Montoya; nephews, Donovan Chavez and Evan Montoya; great-niece, Xiola Blu Chavez; and many cousins and friends. Mass will be Celebrated Tuesday, February 13, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. KAISER -- Lawrence E. "Larry" Kaiser passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Laura (Peterson); 3-year old son, Anthony; and a baby due in July. Other survivors are his mother, Joan F. Kaiser of Albuquerque; sisters, Lynne Gray and husband, Dennis of Huntsville, UT, Laura Flood and husband, George Robert of Wichita, KS, Liane Geiger and husband, Otis of Meadow Lake, NM; aunt and uncle, Geri and Don Lawson of Albuquerque; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James; his paternal grandparents; and his maternal grandparents. He was born December 22, 1968 in Albuquerque, NM to Joan F. (Weis) and James J. Kaiser. Larry attended schools in Albuquerque, graduating from Manzano High School in 1987 where he was a cadet in the ROTC Program. He moved to Taos, NM where he worked as Head Clerk at Raley's for the past 11 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and Hot Air Balloons for which he crewed several years at the Fiesta. Larry was very family oriented and loved taking care of and playing with his son, Anthony. His loving and thoughtful ways will be missed by his family and friends. Friends may visit Monday, February 12, 2007, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2007, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. MAI -- Richard "Ricky" A. 48, passed away February 9, 2007. Ricky was born April 10, 1958 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He loved the Truth, fishing, working on friend's cars, the Denver Broncos and NASCAR. He is survived by his mother and father, Bob and Mary Mai; four sons, Richard, Jesse, AJ, and Preston; two daughters, Desiree and Danielle; three granddaughters; sister Lynda; brothers Roger and Bobby; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. MORRIS -- MANUELITA (NELLIE) C. Mrs. Manuelita (Nellie) C. Morris, 58 passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2007. She survived by her beloved husband of twenty years, Jim R. Morris, two sisters; Mary Ann Gutierrez and husband, Anthony, Joyce Armijo, two aunts; Angie Peralta and Bobbi Esquibel; three nieces, Stephanie Marquez and husband, Edward, Feliz Armijo, Eliza Armijo and husband, Michael Canada; one nephew, Christopher A. Gutierrez and wife, Marina; seven great-nephews; Eric, Stephen, Zachary, Antonio, Vaughan, Armand and Ignacio; and several cousins and very close friends. Mrs. Morris was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Bijoy Francis. NUNN -- LOUISE E. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Louise passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in Carlsbad, NM after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, having lived, loved, worked, played, and raised her family here before moving to Carlsbad to be with her daughter, Holly. She was born in 1921 in Springerville, AZ. She graduated as an R.N. from Mills College of Nursing in San Francisco and worked at Mt Zion Hospital there. She married the love of her life, Hollis W. Nunn in 1946 and they had many great years together before he passed away in 1984. Nursing was her calling and she gave her heart to her work. She worked as a surgical nurse in California and Arizona and then worked at Lovelace Clinic for over 25 years, most of that time in Pediatrics working with severely ill children. She loved gardening, shopping, theatre and the great outdoors, but traveling was her passion. She traveled the world over and was always up for a new adventure. She is survived by her son, Pat (Celese) in Albuquerque; daughter, Holly in Carlsbad; daughter, Kathy Foster (Dennis) in Utah; four grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Harper (Merle) in Springerville; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Santa Fe at the National Cemetery at a later date.

PELKEY -- Luke James Pelkey, born August 8, 2006, went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2007. Luke is survived by his parents, Fred and Kim Pelkey of Albuquerque; brother, Moses Pelkey of Silver City; sister, Beckey Pelkey of Albuquerque; sister, Chenoa Pelkey of Tucson, AZ; maternal grandparents, Herman and Betty Wenzel of Cedar Falls, IA; paternal grandparents, Wesley and Lucy Pelkey of Silver City; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a niece. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Henry Pelkey and his maternal grandfather, James Krogh. Services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Sandia Chapel, 541 Utah NE. RICKERT -- Alfred E. Rickert, age 76, died Friday February 9th after a long battle with prostate cancer. Dr. Rickert was an Emeritus Professor of English at the State University of New York at Oswego. He had been active in theatre and was a past president of the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT). During his retirement he became a master weaver showing and selling his work at the Yucca Gallery in Old Town. He is survived by his wife Margaret; son Paul; daughter Susan; and three grandsons. A Memorial Service will be held at First Unitarian Church at a later date.

SALAZ -- Manuelita de Atocha Vigil y Salaz (Nellie V. Salaz) age 96, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her Los Ranchos de Albuquerque home, Friday, February 9, 2007. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Final viewing will be Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary.
