Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Monday February 12, 2007

LOUISE E. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Louise passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in Carlsbad, NM after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, having lived, loved, worked, played, and raised her family here before moving to Carlsbad to be with her daughter, Holly. She was born in 1921 in Springerville, AZ. She graduated as an R.N. from Mills College of Nursing in San Francisco and worked at Mt Zion Hospital there. She married the love of her life, Hollis W. Nunn in 1946 and they had many great years together before he passed away in 1984. Nursing was her calling and she gave her heart to her work. She worked as a surgical nurse in California and Arizona and then worked at Lovelace Clinic for over 25 years, most of that time in Pediatrics working with severely ill children. She loved gardening, shopping, theatre and the great outdoors, but traveling was her passion. She traveled the world over and was always up for a new adventure. She is survived by her son, Pat (Celese) in Albuquerque; daughter, Holly in Carlsbad; daughter, Kathy Foster (Dennis) in Utah; four grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Harper (Merle) in Springerville; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Santa Fe at the National Cemetery at a later date.
