ALLEN -- Etta Jeanne Allen passed away June 26, 2007 at home in Albuquerque. She was born June 13, 1926 in Fort Worth, TX. Jeanne, as she was known, retired from Albuquerque Public Schools but continued to substitute teach until 2006. She was a devout Christian and was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School since 1974. She was an avid Lobo Fan, and was a devout mother, grandmother and "Nana". Jeanne will be greatly missed by her family, church family, precious ladies of Joy Sunday School Class and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by daughter, Jayne Muse: son, Joe Allen and wife, Terri; daughter, Lynne Lamar, Cindy Martinelli, and Cathy Olague and husband, Larry; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, son-in-law, Dan Lamar. FRATZOLA -- Anthony Fratzola, age 85, passed away in Cimarron, NM on June 24, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Amy Marcella; parents, Joseph and Angelina Fratzola; brother, Michael; sisters: Mary and Rose Marie; niece, Angela. Anthony was born July 23, 1921 in Scranton, PA. He married Amy Marcella Valverde in Las Vegas, NM on June 5, 1943. He was a certified welder retired after 35 years service as a carman for the Santa Fe Railroad. Anthony served as an Elder, Deacon and was an active member with his family with Presbyterian Church for many years. He was a member of the American Legion and Elks. He is survived by his son, Anthony Fratzola, Jr. and wife, Anne of Cimarron, NM; daughters: Gay Rodriguez and husband, Tony of Pecos, NM, and Elizabeth Hardman and husband, Ed of Galena, MO; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, June 29, 2007, 11 a.m. with a Service to follow at 1 p.m. both at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Interment will follow immediately at Santa Fe National Cemetery. GORE -- Raymond George Gore, 89, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Ray was born July 6, 1917, the son of Ernest and Amanda Gore in Albuquerque, NM. He attended and graduated from Albuquerque High School. He had served in the United States Navy during WWII. Ray was a salesman in wholesales food all his life. He was a member of the High Desert United Methodist Church and the Kiwanis Club. Ray was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma; and his parents, Ernest and Amanda Gore. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Gore of Rio Rancho; two sons, Gary Gore of Jemez Springs, NM, and Larry Gore of Cedar Crest, NM; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Gore and James E. Gore; one great-grandchild, Brandon Gore; and one sister, Bina Mae Foy of Lompoc, CA. GREER -- Margaret E. Greer, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for the last six years, passed away peacefully at home Saturday evening, June 23, 2007. She is survived by her two children, Rick Greer of Morristown, NJ, and Kathe Rensner and husband Gary of Sandia Park, NM; niece, Marilyn Goeller and husband, Ted of Walnut Creek, CA; nephew, Bob Holgerson of Wichita, KS; nephew, Mike Mostrom and wife, Sherry of Cedar Crest, NM; nine grandnieces and grandnephews; five great-grandnieces and -nephews; and, many loving friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John L. Greer Jr., in 1975; her brother, Francis DeMand, a highly decorated WWII pilot killed in action in 1944, and her sister, Evelyn DeMand Holgerson, in 1980. Margaret was born in Kansas farm country in the small town of Haven, KS, to Dr. Milton H. and Martha DeMand on August 16, 1924. Margaret's father, a highly respected "horse and buggy" doctor, would take little Margaret with him while making his rounds in rural Kansas. After her father's death in 1926, Margaret helped with cooking and baking in her mother's boarding house that catered to the town's schoolteachers during the school year and itinerant oil wildcatters during the summer months. In her teen years, she and her mother moved to Wichita, KS where she graduated from East High School in 1942. Margaret attended Lindenwood College for a year and returned to Wichita to work the war effort at Aero Parts Manufacturing Company in Wichita. She met her future husband, John L. Greer, Jr, and they were married on Easter Sunday, 1945 in Reno, Nevada. The couple returned to Wichita and raised two children, Rick and Kathe. The family made several moves to the Phoenix area in 1961, the San Francisco area in 1964 and finally returning to Arizona in 1967. In Phoenix, Margaret was the Purchasing Agent for the Tonto National Forest. Margaret worked her career with the same vim and vigor with which she pursued most things in life receiving many commendations and employee awards. Margaret retired with honor from the Forest Service in 1986. After retirement, Margaret donated much of her time to Goodwill Industries, where she was usually first in line to support many of their fund-raising activities. She especially enjoyed working the annual Goodwill Antiques Show where she made many new friends. Margaret escaped the heat and smog of Phoenix, and moved to Albuquerque in 2001 to be nearer to her daughter. Margaret was a hopeless romantic who loved the change of the four seasons, our New Mexico fresh air, her beautiful garden, the love and company of her friends and family, and her church. Services will be held at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Rd. NE, Friday, June 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Margaret desired to be buried near her beloved husband and will be interred at Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale, AZ. JORDAN -- William EARLIE Jordan died early on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the age of 94. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 1/2 years Alma CLEATUS Jordan. He is survived by his children: Betty Richards and her husband, Jim, William MARION Jordan, M.D. and wife, Donna, Ph D, Hurdrey ANGUS Jordan, Peggy Wycoff and her husband, Robert, and Wanda Bedinghaus, M.D.; eight (8) grandchildren: Steve Coats, Randy Coats, Mark Coats, Debbie Coats Gerner, Blake Jordan, Sabrina Wycoff Cano, Jeremy Wycoff, Garrett Wycoff; nineteen (19) great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. EARLIE was born April 12, 1913 to William Angus Jordan and Faethy Ann Smith Jordan, the fourth (4th) of six (6) children. He grew up in Toombs County, GA and lived in and near Lyons, GA. He and Cleatus were married November 25, 1933. They spent all of their time in farming. When Earlie began his onion plant business in 1944 he became more active in growing onions and other produce crops. He shipped many onion plants to Georgia from Texas and in the late '40s introduced a special hybrid onion from Texas which later was promoted as the sweet Vidalia Onions. In 1959 Earlie and family moved to McAllen, TX and continued his work as the expert in the growing, harvesting, and cultivation of many varieties of onions with his company Griffin and Brand. He worked mainly in the west; Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and thirty-two seasons in Old Mexico. In 1982 Earlie and Cleatus moved to Las Cruces, NM where he continued his work with many farmers throughout the area accumulating many friends and neighbors along the way. Earlie retired from his work in 1997. Finally in 2000 he and his wife moved to Albuquerque to be near some of their children. Earlie was a kind, gentle and caring man He could always find good in everyone he met. He also had a strong bond with his children, each one in a special way. He will be sorely missed by his family and his many friends. Their son, Angus, was the main caregiver to both parents in their final days spent in their home in Albuquerque, NM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with Lyle Reese officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Las Cruces, NM at The Masonic Cemetery: 760 S. Compress Rd. Las Cruces, NM . LUCERO -- Celso Hart Lucero passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Albuquerque at the age of 91. Mr. Lucero was a decorated Army Veteran and former Prisoner of War of World War II. MERRILL -- GERALD D. SSGT Gerald D. Merrill, USAF, (Ret) Left this life June 23, 2007. Gerald was born August 8, 1923, in Chillicothe, MO and lived in New Mexico since 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and first wife, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Beverly J. (Nix) Merrill of Albuquerque. He is also survived by three sons, Gerald David Merrill and family of Moreno Valley, CA, Lee Briscoe and family of Raton, NM, and Andy Briscoe and family of Albuquerque. He is also survived by five daughters, Kay Olson and family of Cedar Creek, SC, Mary Martin and family of Doniphan, MO, Karen Williams and family, of Forest City, AR, Brenda Briscoe and Yvonne Merrill and families of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his brother, Jack Merrill and wife, Phyllis, of St. Joseph, MO. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Papa will be missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gerald was retired from the United States Air Force after serving in both WWII and Korea. He was also a retired Teamster and loved driving the school bus in Los Lunas for 10 years. He was cherished by all who knew him and will be missed by many friends and dear family. Interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to local Parkinson's or Alzheimer's organizations. OLSON -- Beverly Sue Olson, 62, born in Providence, RI in 1945, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007. She is survived by her children, Darryl Wilson, Debbie Bose and Jennifer Hall, her brother Stephen Wilson and her cherished grandchildren, Koby Bose, Roman Hall and Chloe Hall. A caregiver her entire life, she earned a nursing degree, worked for the United Blood Services and provided life-giving instruction in the latest technologies to the health care community. She traveled a lot, all the while welcoming anyone into her home, and she always missed seeing the beautiful mountains of the Southwest. She gave of herself with her medical background to numerous charities and never complained about any pains or hardships that she had. She created great works of art with her loving creativity with ceramics, stained glass and pottery. PACHECO -- Alicia Marie Pacheco of Pyallup, Washington died June 20, 2007 peacefully in her home. Alicia was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, August 21,1973 to Rudy and Raelee Pacheco. Alicia moved to California with her family in her early teens. Alicia enjoyed spending time with her family, she was a very independent woman who courageous struggled with a severe head trauma making everyday life challenging. She was a beautiful woman with lots of life. She loved spending time with her brother every chance she had. Alicia moved to Washington state in 1998 where she later had her daughter in 2005. Alicia is survived by her daughter, Kaelee Marie of Pyallup, WA; father, Rudy and mother, Raelee Pacheco of San Diego, CA; brother, and wife, Anthony and Esmeralda Pacheco of Valley Center, CA; sister, Autumn of San Diego, CA; grandmothers, Donna Hugg and Consuelo Pacheco; grandfathers, Gary Hugg and Rudy Vigil; nieces, Ashley and Bianka Pacheco; and nephew, Anthony Drew Pacheco, all of which she loved and admired. SANCHEZ -- Anthony Ronald "Tony" Sanchez age 40, a resident of Bosque Farms, NM, peacefully joined our Lord and Savior on Friday, June 22, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Santa Fe, NM, to Isidro and Dulcinea Sanchez Jr. Though handicapped, Tony enjoyed school and made everyone proud when he graduated from Los Lunas high school in 1988. Music and Mickey Mouse were some of his favorite pastimes. Tony never knew the earthly joys we take for granted, but he knew love and loved everyone. He was loved by so many and will be missed by everyone who knew him, especially his mother who was his caregiver and who loved him the only way a mother could. When Tony was born he wasn't given long to live but because the love his mother and father and all the rest of his family he out lived his doctor's grim diagnosis. Tony was preceded in death by father, Isidro Sanchez Jr.; sister, Martha D. Vasquez; and brother, Joseph Sanchez. He is survived by his loving mother and caregiver, Dulcinea Erlinda Sanchez of Bosque Farms; brothers, Jimmy Sanchez and his wife, Sandra, David Sanchez and his wife, Kim of Belen, NM, Victor Sanchez and his wife, Luz, Patrick E. Sanchez and wife, Yodi of Los Lunas, NM, Robert Chavez and wife, Linda of Edgewood, Michael Sanchez and his wife, Eva of Santa Fe, NM, Perry Sanchez and his wife, Agnes of Rainey, LA; sister, Carmen Garley and her husband, Manuel, Yvette Garcia and her husband, Ronald, Diane Sanchez of Belen, NM, Gloria Gallegos and her husband, Larry of Meridian, ID and Louise Golsch of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces. A public viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited by Deacon Felix Barela, at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Peralta, NM, on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Hoi Tran presiding. SMITH -- Anna Margaret Smith, also known as Margaret or Marge to her friends, a 57-year resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at the age of 87. She is survived by her daughter, O'Cilla Zeleny and husband, Don, of CA; brother, Truman B. Peters of PA; sister, Lois Shupp and husband, Donald, of PA; and many other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Eugene S. Smith; sisters, Elsie Lyons and Nancy Grundon; brothers-in-law, Charles K. Smith and Jacob S. Smith. Margaret was born in Middletown, PA. She moved to Albuquerque in 1950 with her husband and daughter and worked for Sandia Labs for 25 years as a data reduction clerk. Marge was very active in St. Luke Lutheran Church and three Masonic organizations: Desert Rose #70 Order of the Eastern Star, La Mesa Court #3 Order of the Amaranth, and Albuquerque Shrine #1 Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She loved ballroom dancing, for which she received several awards in the 1980s, relished playing cards with dear friends, and was an avid collector of clowns. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Margaret's church community, Masonic and social friends, as well as to the staff of Geriatrics Associates, Princeton Place (especially Unit 6), and Zia Hospice. TELLER -- Louis Henry Teller, born September 27, 1947, passed away on June 23, 2007, surrounded and supported by loved ones. His son, Karl Isaac and his father preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and love, RaeLynn; sons, Elliott Ross, wife, Cindy and grandson, Izzac, and Thomas Nathan, wife, Allison and grandsons, Damian and Noah; his parents, Eva and Frank Padilla; sisters, Victoria Weber, Celeste Padilla, and Marian Burkhart. He will be greatly missed by his extended family especially his beloved brother, Andrew "Tino" Teller. The sole proprietor of Teller Trucking, Louis not only served the public but also guided, taught and mentored many in the trucking industry. With a powerful and charismatic personality, he opened his heart and home to all lucky enough to call him "friend". Honorary pallbearers include Ross Armijo, Jeff Lopez, Steve Armijo, Peter Haley, Walt Nelles, Pablo Benavidez, "Porky" Martinez, and Mark Martinez. A Mass celebrating his life will be said on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. at Queen of Angels Chapel (I-40 and 12th Street) with Fr. Emerick, celebrant. WALKER -- Mary E. Walker, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 23, 2007, after a long decline following a hip fracture in 2005. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Essex of Beavercreek, OH and Judy Kil and husband, Pat of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Barry Essex, Brian Essex, Dan Hanley, Lori Thomas, and Corey Hanley; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Hanley, Taylor Thomas and Chandler Hanley; two surviving siblings, Raymond Kominsky in Wyoming, where she was born in 1915, and Kate Nelson of Washington state. Mrs. Walker first moved to Albuquerque in 1942, to marry her lifelong partner of 60 years, Cecil J. Walker, who preceded her in death in 2002. The last four years of her life were spent at Aspen Care, where she remained sweet and loving to all who knew her. She always enjoyed sewing, gardening, having a clean house, and particularly being involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, June 29, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
