Obituary for LUCERO

Celso Hart Lucero passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Albuquerque at the age of 91. Mr. Lucero was a decorated Army Veteran and former Prisoner of War of World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eulogio and Emelia Lucero and brother, Roman Lucero. He is survived by his wife, Eva Griego; children, Dolores Garcia, Waldo Lucero and Mary, James Marcum and Pam, Roberta Lucero and Chris Lucero and Marie; step children, Jerry Griego and Gloria Chavez; siblings, Jane Padilla and Antonio Lucero; 16 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Lucero will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2007 also at Holy Rosary Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Guillermo Archibeque, Claudio Dimas, Raul Chavez, Michael Chavez, Vencent Griego, Rafael Chavez.
