BRADFORD -- Ricki Lynn Bradford passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2006. A flower bud that has been picked by God to bloom in heaven and has been taken from us here on earth. A loving daughter, mother, sister, niece, cousin and a dear friend, she will be greatly missed. Ricki Lynn Bradford has left us at an early age, age 33. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis P. and Lucy Martinez, William and June Bradford. Ricki Lynn is survived by her fiance, Michael Gutierrez; her children, Heather Martinez, Martha Gutierrez and Nicholas Gutierrez; her mother, Diana Bradford and fiance, Joe Gonzales; her father, William Bradford II and his wife, Barbara; her brother, Eloy and his wife, Sharon; sisters, Luci and her husband, Andrew, Ramona and her husband, Fred; her uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who loved and will miss her. CHAVEZ -- Emilio Molina passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006. He was born July 7, 1919 to Perfecto Gonzales Chavez and Eduvigen Molina-Chavez in San Mateo, NM. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Feliz Gutierrez-Chavez and sister, Jesusita (Susie). Emilio is survived by his brother, Claude and sisters, Edwina, Delia, Rosie, Helen (Salome), and Evangeline. Also surviving are daughter, Geraldine Armstrong and husband, Dale of Harrisonville, MO; sons, Leroy (Lee) and wife, Jill and Emilio Jr. and wife, Anita of Albuquerque. In addition are grandchildren, Bruce, Doug and Kyle Armstrong, Stephanie Behrens, Domonic Chavez, Brandi Salazar, Deanna Gomez and Isaac Chavez; also 10 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. After a 31 year career with Sandia National Laboratories, Emilio retired in 1981. He was a devout Catholic of unyielding service to St. Anne's Church that included singing in the choir and serving as lector and Eucharistic minister. He was often found out in the south valley neighborhoods providing communion to shut-ins. Rosary will be held Thursday September 14, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne's Church, 1400 Arenal SW. CHESNEY -- Kent King Chesney, aged 94, retired Santa Fe Railway Conductor, passed away in Albuquerque on Sunday, September 10, 2006. CORDOVA -- Evangeline L. Cordova, age 84 and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2006 while surrounded by her family. Mrs. Cordova is survived by he five sons: Hank Cordova, Gary E. Cordova, Ron Cordova and his wife, Janie, Don Cordova, all of Albuquerque, and Dennis Cordova and his wife, Colleen of Washington; one sister, Connie Gonzales; one brother, Calistro Garcia, both of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. DEMMING -- George Demming, Pearl Harbor survivor, career military man, and longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2006 in Jacksonville, FL. Born January 14, 1916, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean and daughter, Cheryl Kirschbaum. He is survived by Cheryl's daughters, Melissa Green and Sarah Mansell and great-grandson, Pierce Green; step-children, Jack and Vicki Merwin, Mrs. Lois Lane; step-grandchildren, Sandy Winfrey, Vicki Lynn Waitman, Ann Pelletier, Wayne Merwin, Terry Merwin and their children, Katie Pelletier, Heather Pelletier, Abby Waitman, Seth Waitman, Zachary Merwin and Crystal Merwin. DUNAGAN -- Freida Charlene Dunagan died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas and mother, Evelyn. She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Bobby; daughter, Susan and husband, John Kidd of Albuquerque, NM; son, Robin and wife, Cathy of Fallbrook, CA; and son, Steven of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren, Melissa Kidd, Kristin Nunnery and husband, Steven, Vincent, Christopher, and Christina Dunagan; two great-granddaughters, Sonnet Lee and Paige Lynn Nunnery. DWOR -- Robert Dwor, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 30 years, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances K. Dwor. ERNE -- Norma Potter Erne departed her earthly body on September 9, 2006. She was a resident of Albuquerque, NM for 50 years. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 48 years, Louis; daughter, Peggy Hughes (Tim); sons, Daniel Erne and Stuart Erne (Margay); grandsons, Seth Hughes, Max Erne, Caleb Hughes, and Jake Erne; nephews, Brad Potter and Drew Potter (Kathi); niece, Christine Torres; and scores of dear friends. She joins, in Eternity, her mother and father, Allen and Margaret Potter; her brother and sister-in-law, Max and Shirley Potter; and her aunt and uncle, Ruth and Victor Tuffentsamer. Norma was a member of Assistance League of Albuquerque for 30 years and enjoyed working at The Blue Portal and The Bargain Box. GABALDON -- Gene Gabaldon "El Pachuco" of MartinezTown, was born March 27, 1947. He passed away suddenly and very peacefully, Monday, September 11, 2006 at his home after a long battle with diabetes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Valentin and Anita Gabaldon; three brothers, Seledon, Manford and George Gabaldon. Gene is survived by his wife of 42 years, Esther Gabaldon; two sons, Steve Gabaldon and fiancee, Debbie and Mark Wright; three daughters, Nancy and Michael Silva, Jeannie Gabaldon, and Eileen Gabaldon; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Merline and husband, Nazarrio Lopez, Melina and husband, Isaias Lopez, and Margaret Gabaldon; very special brothers-in-law, Paul and wife, Theresa Molina, Raymond and Carol Molina, Steven and Darline, Abie and Angie Molina, and Floyd Molina; two favorite sisters-in-law, Lorraine Proa and husband, Jorge and Rosie Ramos; numerous nieces, nephews which he adored, and most of all a very special cousin, Aurelio Martinez; numerous other family members and friends who loved and will greatly miss him. GALLEGOS -- Adelina Romero Gallegos was born August 7, 1920 in La Constancia, NM. She passed peacefully into God's protection Sunday morning, September 10, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tiburcio Gallegos; her parents, Luciano and Vitalia Romero; her foster mother, Beatriz Romero; her siblings, Elisandro "Alex" Romero, Jesus Romero, Antonio Romero, and Carmen Romero Guerrera. Adelina is survived by her daughter, Teresita Gallegos Montoya and husband, Evaristo C. Montoya; grandsons, Michael Montoya and Christopher Montoya; her son, Raymond Gallegos; her siblings, Higinio Romero, Fermin Romero, Prudencia Romero Sanchez, Nicario O. Romero, and Clorindo Romero; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Cancer may have taken her from us, but we will gather to celebrate our memories of her at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW. GREEN -- Raymond Green, age 33, resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006. MEADOWS -- Thomas Meadows, 82, of Estancia, NM, passed away September 11, 2006 at his home in Estancia. Thomas was born September 3, 1924 in Albuquerque, NM. He attended school in Estancia and later served in the United States Army for two years, stationed in Tokyo, Japan. Once he was discharged, he moved to the ranch where he farmed and ranched during the drought in the early 50s, Thomas and his wife, Geneva drove a truck for Harllee Townsend, hauling feed from Tucumcari and Melrose to their ranch in Torrance County, grinding the feed on their ranch, and hauling the sacked feed to the Wilson and Harrington ranches in West Central New Mexico. Thomas also trucked Milo from Tucumcari to Tempe, AZ and hauled back feed for sale in the Townsend Feed Store in Estancia. Thomas also bought a baler and did custom hay baling during the late 1950s and 1960s. This past June marked the 100th anniversary of operation for the family ranch that his parents homesteaded south west of Estancia in 1906. Thomas lived to see a record year of 16 inches of rain fall on the ranch and was very proud and thankful to God for this. Thomas was a Torrance County commissioner, serving four years in the mid 1960s when the Torrance County courthouse was built. A plaque on the courthouse shows these whom he served with during that term. Thomas also served 18 years on the Estancia School board serving when the new high school was built. A plaque in the high school lists those whom served with him during that school term. He served 20 years on the Torrance County ASCS Committee, now known as Farm Service Agency with the USDA. He enjoyed hikes in Manzano Mountains to the Bosque and Saddle to see the fall leaves. Homemade pineapple cream pie was his request for each birthday. Anytime Willie Nelson was on TV he made a point to take time and enjoy the performance. Raising "Hereford Cattle" was his greatest enjoyment. Thomas is survived by his wife of 56 years, Geneva; his son, John; his daughter, Sandra; his son-in-law, Kit Cornelius; and his granddaughter, Kristen. A Private Service was held September 13, 2006 at their ranch where he was laid to rest. His honesty and wise decision making will be forever remembered. MONETTE -- WILLIE T. SR. On September 11, 2006 Willie T. (Bill) Monette Sr., 70, Cane River's own "Brother or Cracker Jack" left us after an extended illness. An Army veteran, he was a retired metallurgist from General Electric, an avid camper and quilter. He loved his family and friends, cooking and eating authentic Cajun foods, and his dogs - Jane's dog, Paco, and Sadie. He is survived by V. Paul Hagedorn; Nola Monette; his five children, Carrie (Maggie) Roybal/husband Allen, Gizel (Gigi) Callahan/husband Sam, Bibian (Bibs) Dubois/husband Daniel, Willie T. PARHAM -- Betty Jo Breneman Parham, of Albuquerque, NM and formerly of Chattanooga, TN passed away Thursday, August 24, 2006. She had been involved in the banking industry and small service businesses for many years. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, David Parham of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Charlie Breneman of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. RAHN -- Betty Rahn, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for 52 years, was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 10, 2006. She is survived by her children, Rocky Rahn of Albuqerque, Barbara Bernal and husband, Michael of Albuqerque, and Lou Rahn and wife, Chris of Topeka, KS; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Gross, Brooke Rahn, Erica Rahn, Michelle Rahn, Eric Rahn, Melissa Bernal, and Melinda Bernal. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Max Rahn; and granddaughter, Tiffany Gross. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all. SOSAYA -- Frank Fidel Sosaya Jr. passed away on September 11, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife, Serbie Sosaya; parents, Frank F. Sosaya Sr. and Andrea Sanchez; sisters, Helen and Dolores; and brother, Bobby Sosaya. Frank Jr. is survived by his sons: Frank David, Gilbert, Gene; daughters, Barbara Sosaya and husband, Colin Barton, Stephanie Sherman and husband, Brimmer; grandchildren, Brenton Barton and Brooke Sherman; brothers, Eddie, Raymond, Mannie, and Jimmy Sosaya. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. Frank served in World War II and Korea in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a journeyman and was a member of the Local 412 Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Union. Also, he served as a building inspector for the City of Santa Fe.
