BARELA -- Rebecca Anna Alisa Barela went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2005 at the age of 23. She was born on September 18, 1982 in New Mexico. Visitations will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. also at Garcia Mortuary. BAUSKE -- Vivian Bauske, 88, formerly of Clovis, New Mexico, died Friday, December 9, 2005, at The Cottages of Albuquerque, where she had resided for the past three years. She was born Friday, August 17, 1917, in Harrisburg, Missouri. Vivian is survived by one son, Dr. Roger Hren, and wife, Marie, of Albuquerque, and daughter, Erlene E. Seay, and husband, Glenn, of Los Alamos; three granddaughters, Kimberly Smith of South Carolina, Jenny Hudgens, and husband, James, of Anthony, Sahmantha Seay Cannon of Santa Fe; two grandsons, Tim Seay, and wife, Karol, of Taos, Jeff Seay, and wife, Jacque, of Los Alamos; three great grandchildren, Austin Hudgens, Reed Hudgens, and Victoria Hudgens of Anthony, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Weldon R. Bauske. Her family purchased a farm in La Junta, Colorado, and they left Harrisburg when Vivian was two years old. She grew up in La Junta and moved to Clovis, where she went to beauty school and became a beautician. Graveside services will take place Saturday, December 17, 2005, 11:30 a.m., at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, New Mexico. CALDWELL -- Patricia Irene G. Caldwell, 12-21-1926 - 12-13-2005, a longtime resident of Albuquerque since 1963. Born and raised in Durant, OK. She is preceded by her parents, Beullah Bell, Charles Arthur; and brother, Howard K. "Jack" Goodman. She is survived by her husband, Floyd "Slick"; and three sons, Arthur, Mitch, Patrick and their spouses, Angela, Debra and Joan; seven grandchildren, Sara, Jennifer, Matthew, Joni, Chance, Kurtis and Jarred; along with many nephews, nieces and cousins, she loved them all and always looked at their positive traits and characteristics. Special thanks go out to Patty Mork, her niece, who had become one of her best friends. Patty was also her hospice nurse which meant more than anyone can imagine. Patricia loved everyone she met and enjoyed traveling and camping, especially going up to the family cabin in the Pecos Mtns. She always supported and enjoyed going to her children's and grandchildren's activities and sporting events. She graduated from Southeastern OK. St. Univ. in 1947 and later received her Master's degree in education from UNM. Taught elementary grades 1st, 2nd, 3rd in Ardmore and Cushing OK. and at Alvarado, Bellehaven, and Emerson elementary schools here in Albuquerque. She was involved in the local PEO chapter, DAR, AAUW, the X-L bridge group and local lace making group. Loved sewing, knitting, word games and puzzles. Services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2005 3:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church 1500 Chelwood Park Blvd. NE 293-1911.

DAVIS -- Isobel Davis, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, passed away with her loving family around her on December 11, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Frank L. Davis of Albuquerque; sisters, Helen Lang of Albuquerque and Mary Budd of Rosemount, MN; grandchildren, Nathan and Becca Davis; great-grandchildren, Raina Vigil and Yazmin Rose Davis; daughter-in-law, Pattie Davis; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of friends. Isobel was preceded in death by her son, Bruce D. Davis in 1986; her parents, Henry Kittell and Edna Stromquist Kittell; and her brothers, Hank and Howard Kittell. Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Congregational Church and League of Women Voters and volunteered her time with Project Share. Isobel generously shared her time and resources with many charitable organizations. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 2801 Lomas NE with Pastor Lee Albertson officiating. DOVE -- Carolyn Joan Randall Dove passed away on December 7, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born September 28, 1941 in Liberal, KS. Her family moved to Dawson, NM in 1943 and in 1948 to Truth of Consequences. They moved to Las Cruces, NM in 1954 where she graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1959. In high school she was active in music as a pianist and an award winning bassoonist. She attended University of New Mexico graduating with her Baccalaureate Degree in Music Education. She married Floyd Harvey Dove on July 7, 1963 and lived in Lompoc and San Gabriel, CA. For graduate study, they moved to Tucson where she taught music at the University of Arizona and Harvey earned his PhD in Water Resources. His working career took them to Saudi Arabia; Rockville, MD; Tampa, FL; Richland, WA; Lee's Summit, MO; Albuquerque, NM; and Las Vegas, NV. Carolyn served her precious Lord Jesus Christ and community as church secretary in many of those cities. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Harvey; her parents, Gregg and Fern Randall of Las Cruces; and her brother and his family, Darrel, Rose, and Evangeline Randall of Albuquerque. FISHER -- Everett C. Fisher, longtime Albuquerque resident, passed away November 15, 2005 in Thousand Oaks, CA at the age of 90. Everett was born on January 25, 1915 in Mt. Auburn, Iowa. He lived throughout the United States with his parents, Emil and Mabel, who were both teachers with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The family travel took Everett to Alaska where he worked for a mining camp and had the thrill of experiencing the Alaskan wilderness with his dog sled team. In 1940 he married his college sweetheart, Leona Hubbard. Everett and Leona enjoyed dancing together, as well as playing cards with friends, traveling and entertaining. His life was abundantly filled with love, family, friends, extensive travel, fishing and adventure. Everett was employed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers until his retirement in 1972. He relocated to Thousand Oaks in 2004 to be near his daughter and her family. He is survived by his three children: Leon Fisher and wife Lavon of Anacortes, WA, Gary Fisher of Santa Fe, Donna Kelly and husband Kevin of Newbury Park, CA. Five grandchildren: Grant Fisher of San Diego, Laura Packard and husband Ed of Mesa, AZ, Jared Fisher and wife Heather of Henderson, NV; Kimberly Kelly of Newbury Park, CA and Shane Kelly and wife Leslie of Newbury Park, CA. Nine great-grand children: Ethan, Connelly, Sophia and Charles Packard; Orion, Dakota and Phoenix Fisher as well as Emmersen and Finntan Kelly. Everett was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Leona and his brother Vernon. He will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place, NE.

GALLEGOS -- Paciano Louis (P.L.) Gallegos died peacefully with his family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lita; and his beloved children, Julia and friend, David, Olivia and partner, Garry, Michael and wife, Suzie, Renee and husband, Fred, Randy and wife, Kathy; and 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Alameda. GONZALES -- LEROY N. (SONNY) In loving memory of Leroy N. (Sonny) Gonzales who went home to be with the Lord on Saturday December 10, 2005. Leroy, son of Nestor Gonzales and Adelina Candelaria Gonzales, was born March 18, 1953 in Albuquerque, NM. Leroy is survived by his loving daughter, Melissa Gonzales and fiance, Adam Rowen; ex-wife, Margaret C de Baca; sister, Linda Garcia; brother, Eric Gonzales; uncle, Edward Chavez Sr.; nieces, Amanda Griego, husband, William; Erica Chavez, husband, Tom; Lillian Parra, husband, George; Crystal Baldonado, husband, Peter; and nephew, Armand Tabor, wife, Alma; and many cousins and friends. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Nestor and Adelina; and his sister, Martie Tabor. Leroy loved most his daughter, Melissa; he was a loving and supportive father. Leroy loved music; he played the saxophone and wrote poetry. He coached his daughter, Melissa in soccer until her high school years. Leroy was also a retail manager and district manager in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay area. He worked for the government until his passing. He loved his extended family and friends. HOPE -- Anna Marie Pearson Hope, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Ms. Hope was born on August 21, 1921 to William and Anna Barker of Kansas. JACKSON -- Audrey J. Jackson, 68, an Albuquerque resident since 1976, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005. JONES -- Maymie E. DeLong Jones, born August 3, 1919 in Tennessee, died December 15, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM. A loving wife and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Jones. Survived by her son and daughter of New Mexico: William L. Jones and Marilyn Jones-Koshinski; two grandchildren of New Mexico: Gleen R. KELLER -- Anthony Wendel Keller, 94, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his son, Anthony and daughter-in-law, Lynn Keller of Danville, CA; his daughter, Marlene and son-in-law, Christian Fritz of Albuquerque; by his sister, Barbara Weinman of the Seattle area; and by numerous family members. He provided devoted care to his beloved wife of 54 years, Mildred Fredrickson, during her lengthy illness prior to her death in 2003. Born on December 23, 1910 in a village near Odessa, Russia, he emigrated to America in 1911 with his parents, John and Magdalena Keller and siblings, settling first in Collyer, KS and then on a farm north of Havre, MT. Tenth of fourteen surviving children, he graduated from Havre High School and a California Technical Institute. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers in WWII, moving to Richmond, CA in 1948, where he lived until 2003. He was a kind and loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend, who was known for his dedication to family, community, and church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1936 and twice Grand Knight of Council 2741, a past president and member since 1945 of IBEW Local 360 in Oakland, an employee of the Southern Pacific Railroad from 1945 - 1975, and an active parishioner of St. Cornelius Church since 1948. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 3 p.m. at Sunset View Mortuary at Colusa and Fairmount Avenue in El Cerrito, CA, followed by a Memorial Mass on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 10 a.m. at St. Cornelius Church, 225 28th St., Richmond, CA. LA FONT -- Juanita Martinez 1940-2005 Juanita Martinez La Font, age 65, of Belen, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. She was born February 11, 1940 in Cerro, NM to Carlos and the late Cidelia V. Martinez. Juanita graduated from the Menaul High School in 1959. She was an educator who retired after 36 years of teaching. She taught in Albuquerque, Cerro, Questa and San Diego, CA schools. She is remembered as a very happy person who will be greatly missed. Juanita is survived by her husband, James G. La Font; son, Mark; daughter, Carla; father, Carlos Martinez; brothers and their wives, Ted and Lucy, Amos and Frances, Eugenio and Patricia and Virgil and Gloria; a sister and her husband, Alice and Aubrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. LUBARSKY -- Michael R. Lubarsky, age 60, of Albuquerque, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend passed away Tuesday December 13, 2005 at a local hospital. Michael was born June 3, 1945 in Springfield, MA. The eldest son of Edward and Eunice Lubarsky, He moved to the Albuquerque area in 1960. He married Deanna Birdsbill on August 17, 1996 in Albuquerque. Michael was a commercial real estate broker and co-owner with his partner Art Paterson of L&P Real Estate in Albuquerque. He was a veteran during the Vietnam era serving with the United States Army Signal Corps. He was a charter member of Tower Road Baptist Church and previously served as there youth Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed his church and its members - he was a devoted Christian, who loved his Lord and his family with zeal. His family will deeply miss his sense of humor and all the special times they shared together. Mike taught many the everyday importance of a simple hug, enjoyed the simple things in life and loved his dogs, Cato and Coco both rescued off the street. He is survived by his adoring wife, Deanna, his loving family: Robin; Edward; Steven, Urusla and son, Jake; Neil and wife, JoMarie; Nicole Vanacore; grandsons: Jocobo Lubarsky and Alex and Andrew Vanacore; his loving mother, Eunice Zoosman-Lubarsky; sister, Sandra and her husband, Frank Lawrence; brothers, Gary and his wife, Vanessa; Bob and his wife, Carol Lubarsky; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lubarsky; his brother, Neil; and granddaughter, Renee. MARESMA -- Gladis Fois Maresma, surrounded by her husband, daughter, son, and his wife, sister, and cousin, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2005. Gladis is survived by her husband, Fernando; her daughter, Adriana; her son, Jose and wife, Kimberlee, all from Albuquerque. Also her mother, Anselma; her sister, Maria Alba; her brother, Salvador Raoul; his wife, Carmen Fois; niece, Natalia; nephews, Jose Fernando, Javier, and Octavio; and numerous friends. She was born in Asuncion, Paraguay, March 11, 1938. She came to the University of New Mexico as a Fulbright scholar in 1962. She received a Master's degree in Latin American Studies in 1970. Gladis was the cofounder of Latin American Programs in Education (LAPE) in 1965. In 1968, she was the assistant to the director of The Ibero-American Studies Center, now the Latin American Iberian Institute (LAII) until 1970, when she became the assistant director of LAPE where she was in charge of the admissions of students from every country in Latin America. In 1992, Gladis was appointed Director of the International, Technical, and Educational Cooperation Office (OITEC), until her retirement in 2002. Gladis was a member of the Aquinas Newman Center on the UNM Campus, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be co-celebrated by Rev. Andrew Pavlak, OP and Rev. O'BRIEN -- JoAnn L. O'Brien, age 66 and a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 in a local hospital following an illness. PADILLA -- Jose Teodoro Padilla "Teddy Bear" was born May 6, 1932. On Tuesday, December 13, 2005 he went home to be with the Lord. "Teddy Bear" was a lifetime North Valley resident and he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He retired from the Albuquerque Fire Department where he served for 27 years. "Teddy Bear" was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Ramona and he is survived by his children, Lawrence and wife Laura, Carmen and Arturo, Bella and husband, Ruben, Chris and wife, Sandra, Nettie and Joe, Maria and Stephanie, Phillip and wife, Genevieve and Jessica; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Simon (deceased), Juanita, Eliza (deceased), Sr. Barbara, Dolores, Francis, Simon (deceased), Lupe, Pauline and Elena; numerous godchildren and many other family members and friends who loved and will greatly miss him. Visitation and Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. A visitation and Rosary will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2005. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with US Air Force and Albuquerque Fire Department Honors. RAY -- Wanda F. Ray, 63, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 35 years, and coming to New Mexico from Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2005. Wanda was born November 20, 1942, the daughter of Dudley Jerry and Ruth Fay Hodge Sargent in Texas. She had worked as a bookkeeper in the automotive industry before her death. She last worked for Nissan. Wanda was a very religious person; she belonged to a Bible study; she also enjoyed attending plays and symphony concerts. Wanda loved being with people. She is survived by two sons, William Ray and his wife Valerie, and Michael Ray and his wife Nannette; one brother, Bill Sargent; and three grandchildren, Joseph, Robert, and Jesse. A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. at the Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 8600 Volcanes NW, Albuquerque. SAUNDERS -- Martha Jane Saunders, 66, of Albuquerque, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday December 4, 2005. Martha was born on March 10, 1939 in Shoemaker, NM. She is survived by her loving children: Teresa Bryce and husband, Tony, of Albuquerque, NM, Jill Saunders of Las Vegas, NM, George Saunders of Roswell, NM, and James Saunders of Albuquerque, NM. Martha is also survived by her beloved granddaughter, Lauren Bryce; her brothers: Earl Helm and Ted Helm, both of OK; and her sisters: Margie Franzoy of NM, Rosie Neueschwander of AZ, and Ina Mendez of AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Scotty Helm and Lizzie Helm; her brother, Archie Helm; and her sister, Vera Arveschoug. Martha was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. TELLEZ -- Christina Tellez, age 70, a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, passed away on December 11, 2005. Christina was born in Mentmore, NM in 1935. Upon graduating from High School in Gallup, she and younger sister, Mary joined the U.S. Navy. She served mostly on the East coast. Upon completion of her military service, she went on to the University of New Mexico, received a degree in Education, and became a teacher. She taught in Gallup, Zuni, and Menaul School in Albuquerque. She also administered the Head Start Programs throughout Northern New Mexico, but spent the greater part of her career with the Sioux in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. Christina loved teaching and working with the young students. She retired for a brief time in South Dakota, but due to health problems returned home to Albuquerque. Most recently Christina served as a volunteer at the Los Volcanes Senior Center Library. She is survived by five brothers, Louis Tellez, and wife, Isabel, Felimon Tellez and, wife, Annie, Tom Tellez and wife, Mabel, Daniel Tellez and wife, Maureen, Tony Tellez and wife, Martha; four sisters, Virginia T. Wayne, Theresa T. Brown, Mary Mason and husband, Ralph, and Elvira Tellez. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Tellez Sr., Julia Pino Tellez; one brother, Manuel Tellez Jr.; and sister, Jennie T. Munoz. A Memorial Service will be held today at 1:00 p.m. at Alameda Mortuary Chapel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Tellez, Felimon Tellez, Tomas Tellez, Daniel Tellez, Tony Tellez, and Richard Mason. TORREZ -- ARTURO. Mr. Arturo Torrez, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 13, 2005. Mr. Torrez is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Garcia and husband, Mark; one son, Phillip Torrez and wife, Rose; three grandchildren, Tanya Torrez, Monica Torrez, and Ann Marie Garcia; a brother-in-law, Lazaro Lopez; one uncle, Frank Silva; very close friends, The Miranda Family; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Torrez was preceded in death by his wife, Anita; two sisters, Fide Torrez and Martina Lopez; a brother, Isidro Torrez; and an infant daughter, Mary Torrez. Mr. Torrez was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, was in the second wave at Normandy, Company G 406th Infantry-102nd Division. Mr. Torres was a wonderful, caring, loving and giving father and grandfather and a special friend to many. A visitation for Mr. Torrez will be Friday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Pajarito Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Army. VALVERDE -- Alan K In loving memory of Alan K. Valverde, who went home to the Lord on Thursday, November 24, 2005. Born June 14, 1949 in Deming, NM and raised there, Alan is survived by his mother, Frances of Deming; brother, Dan of Dolores, CO; sister, Susan of Tucson, AZ, sister, Karen of Deming; daughters, Heather of Albuquerque and Alicia of San Francisco, CA; three grandchildren; and his loving companion, Elaine Calvin of Albuquerque. His love of music prompted him to become an accomplished guitarist who performed with a number of groups in the Las Cruces, El Paso, Phoenix and Albuquerque areas for many years. He was laid to rest in Deming on December 3, 2005. For his local family and friends, there will be a Memorial Service on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Countryside Mobile Home Park Clubhouse at 4201 Coors Blvd. SW in Albuquerque, just south of Rio Bravo.

He is also survived by his parents, Joe Vigil Sr. and wife, Virginia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Jean Sena; two sisters, Lillian Sena and husband, John, Annie Vigil Baca and husband, Patricio; a brother, Johnny Vigil and wife, Mary Helen; two grandchildren, Avrian and Anyamaree; several aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, and friends. Joe was a member of the Catholic Church. Thelma was born March 13, 1926 the daughter of Morris and Anna Meyrowitz in New York. She was a member of Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills, NJ; member of the Meadowlark Senior Center, and the New Mexico Democratic Club. Thelma was preceded in death by her husbands, Hy Levine and Irving Wengrofsky; and two sisters, Goldie Brown and Lee Meyrowitz. She is survived by her son, Barry Levine and wife, Margie of Rio Rancho; three daughters, Esta Fowler and husband, Jim of Phoenix, AZ, Roberta Mazzarella and husband, Larry of Rio Rancho, and Marcy Trujillo and husband, Cornelio of Edgewood, NM; one brother, Bernie Meyrowitz of Ft.
