Bare -- Mel Bare, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, died Saturday, June 22, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Lil Bare of Albuquerque; daughter, Darla De Stefano and husband, Mike of Florida; stepson, William Metzgar of Illinois, eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Shelton Bare of Pennsylvania; and sister, Theda Davis of Ohio. Mel was a member of the Blue Lodge in Glen Burnie, MD AF & AM, Ballut Abyad Shrine, and the Order of the Eastern Star #70. Services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2002, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Reverend Tom Beach, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Espinosa -- Mark A. Espinosa, 43, died Thursday, June 20, 2002. Mark is survived by his children, Antoinette, Marie and Mark Jr.; his granddaughter, Alexis; and his unborn grandchild; his former wife, Deb; three brothers, Kenneth, Raymond, and Teddy; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church.

Furby -- Robert E. Furby, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1936, died Saturday, June 22, 2002. Born in Greenfield, Missouri, his family moved to Clovis, New Mexico, when he was a small child. He attended the University of New Mexico and was in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. During World War II, he held the rank of T/Sgt. in the USAAF and was assigned to the 97th Bomb Group stationed in Italy. He worked for the Clinton P. Anderson Insurance Agency as an account representative and later in the Surety Department until he retired to play golf. Bob was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Arlene; his parents, Ralph D. Furby and Mary Evans Furby; and brother, Frank E. Furby. He is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Kortkamp and her husband, Karl; and three grandchildren, Katie, Kevin and Kerry. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with The Rev. Myron White, officiating. Gallegos -- Harold Gallegos June 23, 1967 - October 2, 2000Happy birthday to our beloved son, father, brother and uncle. We all miss you very much, especially Sampson. Gualin -- Julia Gualin, 79, went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2002. She was born on September 5, 1922 in Guatemala C.A. and lived in Dallas, TX. Julia is survived by her sons, Arturo Gualima in Guatemala, Roberto Ruiz and wife, Rosa and granddaughters in Maryland; Noel Ruiz and wife, Donna in Albuquerque, NM, grandchildren, Rosa and Anibal Gualin in Guatemala, CA, and grandson, Kenneth Cordova in Albuquerque, NM. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Oliver -- Oliver William Oliver Sr., 72, passed away at his residence near Tucumcari, NM on Wednesday afternoon, June 19, 2002. William Oliver was born December 29, 1921 in Kentucky. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He had been a truck driver fro P.I.E. and for Consolidated Freight Lines moving here to Tucumcari from Albuquerque, NM in 1983. Surviving William Oliver are two sons, William Oliver Jr. and Gregory Oliver both of Tucumcari, NM; one daughter, Deborah Oliver of Albuquerque; two granddaughters, Cassandra and Samantha Oliver both of Albuquerque; one brother, Melvin Oliver of Kentucky; and one sister, Ann Waddle of Ohio. Funeral Services were held in the Dunn Memorial Chapel on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Witcher, Minister of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial followed at 3:00 p.m. in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM.

Paiz -- Albino Paiz, 81, a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1950, went home to his Jesus on Sunday, June 23, 2002. Albino was born May 21, 1921 the son of Eulogio and Flora Romero Paiz in Watrous, New Mexico. He had been a forming operator in the aerospace industry for the General Electric Company before retiring in 1983. Albino was proud to have served in the C.C. Camps prior to joining the US Army, serving in WWII in the South Pacific. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, served as a Eucharistic Minister and usher at St. Thomas; was a volunteer Eucharistic Minister for the Presbyterian Hospital. He loved to travel,to do gardening, and fishing. Albino was a perfectionist in his yard. He also was a daily jogger. Albino was a very loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Patricio, Temo, Abencio, and Mel Paiz. He is survived by his beloved wife, Flora; and ten children, Frank Lovato and Josie, Gina Yaker, Arthur Paiz, Agnes and Frank Martinez, Veronica and Robert Lopez, Laurence and Joann Paiz, David and Jeanette Paiz, Lisa and Paul Strasser, Geralynn and Manny Chavez, and Anna and John Torres; three sisters, Julia Lucero, Dora Heck, and Ruby Silva; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends. The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho with the Mass of Resurrection being celebrated on Thursday, June 27, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will be in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:30 p.m. with Military Honors being presented by the V.F.W. Post 2951. Pallbearers will be Jason Padilla, Adam Martinez, Vincent Torres, Rick Chavez, Arthur Paiz, Jr., and Bobby Paiz; Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Yaker, Dan Yaker, Santiago Paiz, Damien Sanchez, John Lovato, Sam and Paul Strasser. Pyell -- Barbara Hobbs Pyell, 56, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away quietly at her home on Monday, June 24, 2002. She was born in Portales, NM on November 27, 1945 and grew up there. She graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Barbara had a kind, generous and loving spirit and touched the lives of the many who knew her and for whom she cared. She is survived by her son, Edward M. Pyell of Fort Polk, LA; daughter, Teresa A. McInturff and husband, Sean and granddaughter, Madelynn of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Wanda Snodgrass and husband, Larry of Sumner, WA and Jean Reynolds and husband, Tom of Cloudcroft, NM; brother, Melvin Hobbs and wife, Joan of Ft. Worth, TX; and special friends, Hans and Mary Jane Happek, both of Albuquerque. She is also survived by aunts, Tennie Frances Brinson of Brownfield, TX, Ruth Neal and husband, Bill of Andrews, TX; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and by a host of friends. Barbara was a member of Del Norte Baptist Church where she was a longtime participant in the music program of the church. She also served on a number of leadership committees of the church. She worked at PNM Gas Construction Department for 22 years. While there, she performed with the PNM Choir and was a loaned executive to United Way. She served on the New Mexico One Call Board of Directors. Barbara also served on the Board of Directors of New Mexico Speech Language and Hearing Association. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Del Norte Baptist Church, 5800 Montgomery Blvd. NE, with Rev. Marsha Moore officiating. Following the services, a family visitation time will be held in the Fellowship Center, also at the church. Tippett -- Margie L. Anderson Tippett, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, died Monday, June 24, 2002. She is survived by her sister, Boyce Carter and husband, Bill of Amarillo, TX; brother, Thomas A. Anderson and wife, Geneta of Littlefield, TX, Travis M. Anderson and wife, Sue of Anton, TX and Clarence M. Anderson of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, her former husband's children, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruby Anderson. Mrs. Tippett was a graduate of Spade High School, near Littlefield, TX. Trujillo -- A final visitation for Mr. William G.
