He is survived by his wife, Reeva Sue; brother, Bill; sister, Beulah; son, Marvin; daughter, Rita; granddaughter, Gretchen; and their families. A country lawyer for 35 years, Marvin will be remembered for his generous heart, fierce determination and sage advice. He taught us the importance of family and to nourish our independent spirit. He will be sorely missed by family and friends, until we meet again someday.Private services will be followed by a"prayer meeting" on March 10, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rio Grande Cantina.

Bird -- Georgia Hartman Bird, 101, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Irene Squires and husband Bill of Enid, OK, Norma Brewster and husband, Vernon of Albuquerque, and Wilma Sullivan of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Patricia Eubank, Laura Wallin and husband, Scott, and Lee Ann Sullivan; grandsons, Bob Squires and wife, Carolyn, David Squires and wife, Nancy, Steve Brewster, and Mike Sullivan and wife, Ruth; by ten great-grandchildren and by great-great twins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat on November 29, 1977. Georgia was born February 5, 1900 to John and �Lottie� Hartman on a farm 5 miles north of Breckenridge, Oklahoma that had been homesteaded by her father in 1893. She married Pat Bird on October 16, 1921 and the couple had three daughters. Georgia was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was an avid rug hooker and China painter. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We will all miss her, but it�s comforting to know she is at peace with God in Heaven. Services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE with Dr. Charles Crutchfield, officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Bright -- Mae Rose Bright, 77, an Albuquerque resident since 1950, died Tuesday, February 27, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sue Bentz and husband, John of Albuquerque. Her husband, Ben H. Bright and a son, David Lee Bright preceded her in death. Mrs. Bright was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she served in many ways; her greatest love was working with children. She taught elementary school in Illinois and New Mexico for many years, retiring from Albuquerque Public Schools. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2001 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 Alvarado, SE with Rev. John C. Heffelfinger and Rev. Harold Johnson, officiating. Corkran -- Ray Corkran, age 86, died at home Thursday, March 1, 2001 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Alberta; daughters, Rajeane Jack and husband, J.T, Nan Hamner and husband, Jay, all of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Kristy Waldraff and husband, Rick and Kara Nixon and husband, Steve, all of Abilene, TX; grandson, Jim Jack and wife, Kimberly of Arlington, TX; and six great-grandchildren, Michael Nixon, Christopher Nixon, Bradley Waldraff, Matthew Waldraff, Alex Jack and Avery Jack. He came to Albuquerque in 1935 to attend the University of New Mexico where he met Alberta Headley, his wife of 63 years. He was employed by the Employment Security Commission as Office Manager and Supervisor of Benefits. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in New Guinea and the Philippines. After his military service, he joined the Veterans Administration as Loan Examiner. He became Chief of the VA Loan Guaranty Program in 1960, and continued as Loan Guaranty Officer until his retirement in 1982, after 36 years of service. Commendations were received from the Mortgage Banking and Real Estate Organizations. Private Family Services will be held Sunday, with Rev. Fred Dorisse officiating. Dailey -- Mr. Wayne A. Dailey Sr., 83, a resident of New Laguna, New Mexico passed away on February 28, 2001. Mr. Dailey is the beloved husband of 54 years to Mrs. Eleanor Dailey; he is also survived by his daughters, Georgia Pedro and Opal Bowman and husband, Timothy; one sister, Daisey Maria; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one uncle, Charles Dailey; six nieces; two nephews; many other cousins and friends. Mr. Dailey is preceded in death by his son, Wayne A. Dailey Jr. Mr. Dailey served as a member Elder and officer at the Casa Blanca Presbyterian Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II, served on the Local A..A..R. P. Board, participated in the Senior Olympics and was a recent resident at the Laguna Rainbow Elder Care Center. Gallegos -- Alice Grace Gallegos, age 55, while surrounded by her loving family passed on to be with our Lord, on Wednesday, February 28, 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Leonela Jaramillo. She is survived by her sons, Kenny Gallegos, Scott Gallegos, and his wife, Dawn, Mitchell Gallegos, Jerod Gallegos and their father, Michael Gallegos; her brothers, Mel Jaramillo and his wife, Bessie, Lambert Jaramillo and his wife, Beatrice, Alex Jaramillo; her sisters, Toni Garcia and her husband, Ernest, Priscilla Montoya and her husband, Porfiro, Connie Jaramillo, Gloria Garcia and her husband, Lorenzo; 11 nephews and six nieces. Alice was born June 16, 1945 in Long Beach, CA. Moved to Canyon, NM in 1947 where she grew up and graduated from Jemez Valley High School. She was married in 1968 to Michael Gallegos, lived many years in Ponderosa, NM and moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1993. All Services are being held in Canyon, NM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. The Rosary will be held on Friday, March 2, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow. Harger -- Mr. Max H. Harger, beloved husband, father and Grampa, won his battle with cancer and was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2001. Strong -- Catherine Walker Strong. A very loving life was taken on Ash Wednesday. Her husband of 40 years, Samuel E. Strong, her infant son, Richard, and her daughter, Carol Ann Strong, January 25, 1997, preceded Catherine in death. She was survived by her daughter, Susan Neuschwanger and husband, Ron; her son, Robert; her sister, Betty and husband, John McMullen; her brothers, Bill and wife, Patt Walker, her brother, Chuck and wife, Doris (deceased) Walker; her grandchildren, Julie and Bianca Strong, Ryan and wife, Kelly Neuschwanger and Melisa Arellano and 12 nieces and nephews. She also treasured her three great-grandchildren, Chance, Miranda and Jessire. Catherine was born on June 8, 1915 in La Junta, Colorado. Her family moved to Albuquerque when she was in high school. Catherine graduated from St. Vincent's Academy in 1932. She also graduated from Albuquerque Business College. Sam and Katie met when they both worked for Continental Oil Co. They were married on July 1, 1938 in Socorro, New Mexico. A Rosary will be conducted Friday, March 2, 2001 at Fitzgerald's Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas Rd. Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews. Catherine will be laid to rest next to her husband at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Catherine was active at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Toon -- Margaret M. Toon, age 95, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away in her sleep Tuesday, February 27, 2001. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Chapel, Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE. Pastor Michael Dominguez will officiate. Pallbearers are Ernest A. Chavez, Joseph S. Chavez, Dennis F. Chavez, James L. Culbertson, Albert B. Wenzelburger, Mario J. Gonzales, Joseph J. Chiado and Fidel Chavez. Interment is immediately following at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. Margaret's family greatly appreciates the love and care given to her in her final years by Flora Alarid and family. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors are in charge of her arrangements.

Zimmer -- Paul Daniel Zimmer, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 23, 2001. He was born November 4, 1908 in Philadelphia, PA to Paul W. and Anna Zimmer. Mr. Zimmer attended college at Syracuse University in New York, graduating with a degree in Forestry. He worked the majority of years with the Federal Fish & Wildlife Service in Portland, OR, Research & Development of the Salmon Industry. Mr. Zimmer was active in community affairs in the town of Clackamas, OR, serving on Water, Fire and School Boards. He also served in an advisory capacity to the Clackamas County Commission. Upon retirement, Mr. Zimmer and his wife, Muriel traveled. The last seven years, the couple resided in Albuquerque. Mr. Zimmer is survived by his wife, Muriel; daughters, Linda Barbour of Albuquerque and Elaine Miner of Hillsboro, OR; five grandsons and their wives; and eight great-grandchildren."Home is the Hunter, Home from the Hill and the Sailor Home from the Sea." Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2001 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the family home in Albuquerque. Interment of cremains will take place in the family plot at Clarence, NY.
