Andazola -- Josephine M. Andazola, age 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Sunday in a local hospital. She is survived by her children, Fred, James, Franklin Andazola and Debbie Van Dyke; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anne Angeletti and Rose Maddaleni; brother, Frank Marcelli. The Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m., Thursday, in the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Friday, at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 4th at Mildred NW. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or Hospice. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.

Bower -- Elma Eva Bower, born September 17, 1915 in Fort Sumner, NM to Celestino Sandoval and Margarita Gonzales, died on Saturday, May 20, 2000 in Albuquerque. She was married to Augustine Lopez and then remarried to Peter Bower. Mrs. Bower is survived by her daughter, Gloria Coronado and husband, Abel; grandchildren, Connie Hanrahan, Donald Coronado and wife, Mildred, and Lisa Coronado, all of Albuquerque, Mark Coronado of North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Shanna Hanrahan, Amber Coronado and Ted Stebbins, all of Albuquerque, Mia Coronado of Texas, Ashley Coronado, Brittney Coronado and Victoria Coronado of North Carolina. Mrs. Bower was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; six sisters; and by great-grandson, Donald Coronado Jr. She was the last surviving member of the Sandoval and Gonzales family from Ft. Sumner, NM. We express our special thank you to the many friends and neighbors who watched over her, Arline May, Rodney, Rosalie and children, and to Dr. Houle and his nurse, Sandy. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, on Thursday, May 25, 2000 at 9:00 o'clock a.m., with Father Domingo Gumpal, Celebrant. Haynie -- Maurice Haynie, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, died Saturday, May 20, 2000. Maurice was a World War II Navy Veteran, having served in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife, Leda Haynie of the family home; daughters, Sharon Miller and husband, Jim of Albuquerque and Jeanie Beauchamp and husband, Bob of Stillwell, Kansas; granddaughters, Jessica, Monica, Vanessa and Kristina; one brother, Theron Haynie and wife, Norma of Seattle Washington. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, and services will follow at 10:30 a.m., Haines St. Chapel, 5709 Haines Ave. NE. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Hoehne -- Charles Richard Hoehne, 68, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loved ones, on May 21, 2000. Mr. Hoehne was the beloved husband of 43 years to Mrs. Sadie Hoehne. He is survived by his sons, Richard J. Hoehne and wife, Viola of Belen, David a. Hoehne and wife, Theresa, Andy Hoehne and wife, Wanda of Phoenix, AZ, and Jerry A. Hoehne; two sisters, Gloria Montoya and Esther Romero; one brother, Julian Ernest Hoehne and wife, Marcella; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Hoehne was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Teresa Hoehne; and a brother-in-law, Joe R. Montoya. Mr. Hoehne was born in Santa Rosa and a member of the Catholic Church. Mr. Hoehne worked in the grocery industry for 36 years. After retirement he enjoyed fishing with his brother and sons. He was very active with his church. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Father John Jazinski, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be recited Wednesday morning, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father Aragon, Celebrant. Jimenez -- Jesus B. Jimenez, age 65, born in La Barca, Jalisco, Mexico, and a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2000. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie. He is survived by his children, Annabelle Mora and husband, Edwin, Carol Dominguez, Thomas and wife, Maria, David and wife, Anna, and son, Mario; his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Aubrey and Celina Jimenez, Sarah Dominguez, Marisa and Jaquelyn C De Baca, Edwin Mora Jr., Ariela, David and Carina Jimenez; and his very special Goddaughter, Gabriela Rodriguez. He is also survived by his sisters, Socorro Gallegos, Esperanza Garcia, Soledad Jimenez, Enedina Zuniga and Alicia Arzate; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jesus will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, located at 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Jojola -- Sophie Jojola, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2000. Sophie was a lifelong resident of Belen and a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Sophie and her husband, Pat, co-founded Jojola Construction Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat, in 1995; and one grandson, Jacob, in 1987. Sophie was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three sons, Pat and his wife, Debbie of Wylie, TX, Jeff and his wife, Evelyn, and Giovanni and his wife, Julie, all of Belen; her three grandchildren, Mason, Dalton and Daniel; two sisters, Susie Sanchez of Magdalena, NM, Fabriciana Atencio and her husband, Fred of Albuquerque. Sophie is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited at Romero Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 24 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at Our Lady of Belen Church at 9:00 a.m. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Lundy -- Pearl Lundy passed from this life to be with the Lord on May 21, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lundy in 1984; and a daughter, Barbara Loraine Pope in 1993. Pearl is survived by a daughter, Betty Jane McMath and husband, Charles of Elephant Butte, NM; a son-in-law, Tom Pope of Baird, TX; a sister, Effie Mulkey of Corona, NM; six grandchildren, Ellis McMath and wife, Vicky of Albuquerque, William P. McMath and wife, Marianne of Fredricksburg, VA, Susie Ankeny and husband, Lewis of Rio Rancho, Ron McMath and wife, Loretta of Albuquerque, Tommy (Gabby) Pope and wife, Kelly of Abilene, TX, Tammy Smitherman and husband, Jim of Crane, TX; and 14 great-grandchildren. Pearl Lundy was born on July 15, 1910 in Bronte, TX. She came with her family to the Estancia Valley in 1929. Pearl married Paul Lundy in 1934 and traveled to Quemado by covered wagon where they homesteaded. After two years of hard living, they returned to the Estancia Valley where they were farmers and ranchers until 1997 when Pearl moved to Truth or Consequences to be close to her daughter. Pearl Lundy was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother with many dear friends. She was known for her pioneer spirit, her great cooking and wonderful hospitality. Pearl will be greatly missed in this life, but we have the assurance that she has gone on to her great reward in Heaven. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Estancia, NM on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Robert Rachuig, Pastor of the Church at the Butte. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ellis McMath, Bill McMath, Ron McMath, Lewis Ankeny, Tommy Pope, Jim Smitherman. Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons, Tim McMath, Dan McMath, Chase Ankeny, Cody Ankeny, Joshua Smitherman, Joseph Smitherman and Luke McMath. Burial will be in the Estancia Memorial Cemetery. Martinez -- Mr. Samuel Lee"Sammy" Martinez Jr., 59, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on May 21, 2000. Mr. Martinez was the beloved husband of ten years to Mrs. Olivia Martinez. He is also survived by five sisters, Betty Martinez, Mary Alice de Herrera, Dolores Ortega, Marcella Gallegos and Maria Martinez; Godchildren, Phillip Martinez, Anthony Griego, Johnny Ray Ritchie and James; extended sons and daughters, Vicky Perez and husband, Luis, Connie Griego and husband, Mark, Rose Garcia and husband, Scott, Frank Lujan and wife, Irene and Fili Lujan and wife, Zelma; 12 grandchildren, Chris, Brenda, Naira, Cheryl, Anthony, Lance, Kyle, Daniel, Frankie, Selena, Sharissa and Samantha; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church. Miranda -- Valentina S. Miranda, 91, co-founder of Blue Spring, NM in 1928, along with her late husband, Max, passed away on May 21, 2000. She was a member of the Veguita Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Max Miranda in 1990 and her loving daughter, Helen D. Miranda in 1999. She is survived by three loving daughters, Viola Romero of Albuquerque, Pricilla of Los Lunas, and Carmen McCleery of Albuquerque; two sons, Audillo of Albuquerque and Max Jr. of Albuquerque; 12 loving grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister-in-law, Fannie Saavedra of Belen. A viewing will be held on May 23, 2000, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 24, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at the Veguita Catholic Church. Pohl -- Carmen M. Pohl was called by our Lord to take her place in heaven on May 20, 2000. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Muniz. She is survived by her husband, Robert Pohl; two daughters, Nadine Pohl and Diane Pohl; her mother, Ann Muniz; a sister, Patricia Sanchez and husband, Nestor; a brother, Robert Muniz; and grandsons, Robert and Daniel, all of Albuquerque. Ramsey -- Vera Louise Ramsey, age 91, a resident here since 1927, died May 19, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Wilson Ramsey; and daughter, Nancy Shinn. Romero -- Nicholas J. Romero, 65, went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2000. Nicholas was born on September 10, 1934 in Las Vegas, NM. He is survived by his loving mother, Ageda Romero; two brothers, Mike Romero and Joe Montoya and wife, Lala; four sisters, Mary Koteen, Antonia Lucero, Elsie Montano, and Mary Jane Padilla; also surviving several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, located on the corner of 8th and Iron. A Rosary will be recited this evening, 7:00 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, 9:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
