Arnold -- Henry Arnold, age 79, and a resident of New Mexico for 45 years died Saturday, February 5, 2000 in a local hospital following an illness. Mr. Arnold is survived by his wife, Jo Arnold of Albuquerque; three sons, Tommy Arnold of San Diego, CA, Michael Arnold of Laguna Beach, CA and David Arnold of Albuquerque. He is also survived by one sister, Betty Ledbetter of Carrollton, TX; two brothers, W.T. Arnold of Las Vegas, NV and Denson Arnold of Farmington, NM; and six grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, with Pastor Larry Pierson officiating. Arnold -- Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2000 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Roswell, NM, for Kenneth Ray Arnold, age 58, of Santa Fe, formerly of Roswell, who passed away February 5, 2000 in Albuquerque. Military honors will be provided by Roswell Veteran's Honor Guard at South Park Cemetery. Kenneth was born December 18, 1941 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He had lived in Santa Fe for five years and was a Physicians Assistant at Loveless Clinic in Santa Fe. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ray Arnold II and John Victor Arnold; two brothers; four sisters; and four grandchildren. Friends may make memorials to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Roswell.

Bratun -- Rudolph Joseph Bratun, 78, a resident of Albuquerque for 36 years, died Monday, February 7, 2000 at his home. He was born December 12, 1921 in Murray, UT to Frances Schippel Bratun and John Joseph Bratun, both of them immigrants from Austria. He grew up in Murray and Salt Lake City. Mr. Bratun was recruited and hired by National Cash Register Company because of a store window display of a desk and cabinetry he made in high school. He served in the Navy from 1941 until the end of WWII as one of the first technicians for aviation applications for the new science of radar. While stationed in Stillwater, OK he met and married his future wife. He married Alma Gene Berry in 1944 and they were married for 55 years. After the war they moved to Salt Lake City where he was employed by National Cash Register for 45 years. He managed the Technical Services Division in Ogden, UT; Las Vegas, NV; Denver, CO; and Albuquerque. Mr. Bratun is survived by his wife, Alma; daughters, Juliana Bratun and her son, Zachary of Boulder, CO, Katy Bratun and husband, Steve Gregory and their son, Eric of Salem, MA, Liz Bratun of Sacramento, CA, and Annie Bratun of Jim Thorpe, PA. His family always felt his devotion to them and his kindness, humor and hard work were very much appreciated and he will be deeply missed. Memorial services will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Dr. Larry Morris officiating. Cordova -- Cynthia Cordova, 37, passed on to be with our Lord, February 6, 2000. She was preceded in death by niece, Crystal Trujillo and grandfather, Samuel Trujillo. She is survived by husband, Porfidio Cordova; sons, Dominic and Sixto Cordova; parents, Carlos and Geraldine Trujillo; maternal grandparents, Tony and Beatrice Anaya; paternal grandmother, Amalia Trujillo; brother, Carlos Trujillo; sister, Christina Trujillo; nephews, Lorenzo and Vincent; niece, Deserey; brother-in-law, Carlos Trujillo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who loved and will miss her. Cullom -- Robert F. Cullom, 75, passed away Monday, February 7, 2000, after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 6, 1924 and was a resident of Albuquerque since 1971. He is survived by his wife, Gayle; his daughter, Penny Fogleman and husband, Ed Fogleman; sons, Jeff Cullom and Scott Cullom and wife, Amy; grandsons, Robert, David, Zach, Seth and Wesley; step-son, Bruce Tweeten and wife, Jody; and step-daughter, Jan Tweeten and fiance, Kevin Pennyweight. He was preceded in death by Shirley, his wife of 39 years. He attended Purdue University before joining the U.S. Air Force in 1944. Bob flew B-24's, B-25's, KC 97's and DC'3's. He served in the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict, receiving numerous citations, including The Bronze Star for meritorious service in 1966. After leaving the Air Force in 1976 as a Lt. Colonel, he continued his education obtaining his business degree from the University of Albuquerque in May 1977, graduating"Cum Laude." Bob enjoyed traveling, golf, and most of all, being with his family. His many friends and family will miss him more than words can say. Services will be held Friday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Gallegos -- Beatrice R. Gallegos,"Tiny Nani", age 96, passed away on February 6, 2000 at the home of her daughter in Vaughn. Beatrice was born September 17, 1903 in Anton Chico, NM to the home of Antonio and Luz Garcia Ruiz. She was reared and attended schools in Anton Chico. She married Abran Gallegos in Anton Chico. She and Abran made their home in Vaughn in the 1940's. Beatrice was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, and will truly be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Abran; sons, Antonio Gallegos, Celso Gallegos; her daughter, Isabel Gallegos; daughter-in-law, Josie Gallegos; sons-in-law, Cecil Ray McDaniel and Pedro Anaya. Survivors include her children, Luz Arguello and husband, Marcos, Abran Gallegos Jr. and wife, Jeanette, Stella Romero and husband, Isidro, Alice Luna and husband, George, Dina McDaniel, Jane Anaya, Maguin Gallegos and wife, Imelda and a granddaughter raised as a daughter, Rose Ann Maes and husband, Pat; a son-in-law, Ray Gallegos. Also surviving are 42 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Rosary services will be conducted on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Parish in Vaughn with Richard Gallegos and Pat Maes leading in prayer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. also in Vaughn with Father Patrick Duffy and Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Randy Turner, Richard Gallegos, Pete Anaya, Tito Romero, Jose Arguello, Marty O'Shea and Tony Gallegos Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the rest of her grandchildren. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.

Glose -- Eleanor P. Glose, age 90, passed away Monday, February 7, 2000. She had been a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, coming here to make a home with her daughter. Survivors include her daughter, Winifred Glose of Albuquerque; sons, Richard A. Glose and wife, Patricia of Bethlehem, PA and Charles T. Glose III and wife, Rose of Long Beach, CA; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Barbara Andrews of Lancaster, PA. Mrs. Glose was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Glose Jr. in 1947; her grandson, William in 1988; and her great-grandson, James Richard in 1987. At her request, no services will be held. Hoffheins -- Bernadine H. Hoffheins, born March 4, 1932 in Lincoln, NE, entered into rest Sunday, February 6, 2000, following a long illness. She had lived in Albuquerque since 1956 and worked at Sandia Labs for 30 years. She also worked at the Indian Arts Building at the New Mexico State Fair for 30 years. Mrs. Hoffheins was a member of the FMCA, Thunderbirds, and Roadrunners R.V. groups. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Don Hoffheins; her children, Debbie and husband, Joe Morrato of Denver, Greg Sillivan and wife, Christy of Houston, Kevin Sillivan and wife, Diane of Tucson, and Monica Fuson of Albuquerque; and by her step-children, Connie Pohlmeyer of Rio Rancho and her children, Kristie, Wendy and J.R.; and Skip Hoffheins and wife, Nancy of Klamath Falls, OR and their children, Karl, Kevin and Kami. Looney -- Pamala Marie Looney, 39, a resident of Albuquerque for over 30 years, died Sunday, February 6, 2000. Mlekush -- Matt Mlekush, 92, formerly of Old Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2000, in Placerville, California. He was born March 14, 1907, in Pluzna, Austria, to Mathais Anton Mlekush and Elizabeth Roth-Mlekush. He lived in California for 75 years; the last 25 in Pollock Pines. He worked as a supervisor for both Cudahy and Ideal Packing Company's in southern California for 40 years, retiring in 1973. He loved ocean and mountain fishing, gardening and bowling. He is survived by his beloved wife, Millie; his son, Matt C. Mlekush and wife, Ellen, of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Alice Garnas, Canadian, TX and Fannie Armijo, Albuq, NM; brothers, Albert Mlekush, Modesto CA, Anthony J. Mlekush, Albuq, NM, John Mlekush, Edgewood, NM, and Joseph A. Mlekush, Bullhead City, AZ; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly M. Essex in 1988; brother, Frank Mlekush, Jr.; and sisters, Annie Mlekush and Mary Mlekush-Lucero. Montoya -- Jose R. Montoya, 84, went to be with the Lord, Friday, February 4, 2000. He is survived by his daughters, Monica Harrison and husband, Stan of Los Lunas, Helen Salazar and husband, Alex, Maxine Ramirez and fiancee, Ray Silva, Jeanette Ramirez and husband, Ralph and Therese Maestas, all of Albuquerque; son, Joe A. Montoya and wife, Viola of Santa Fe; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Josie P. Muller of Los Lunas; and many wonderful loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emena in 1988; sister, Martha Flores; and brother, Daniel Montoya. Jose was a wonderful father, grandfather, teacher and friend and was a very strong believer in our Lord. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Our Saviour, 2805 Don Felipe SW, with Rev. Harold L. Trott officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Mullins -- Mary Jane Rouillard Mullins, of 350 White Oaks Dr. NE, died January 26, 2000, in the Kahuku, Hawaii hospital, of massive respiratory failure. Her husband, Joe, was with her when she died. She was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, June 11, 1930. She graduated from a US Army High School in Frankfort, Germany and later attended school in Switzerland, as well as the Sorbonne in Paris. She graduated from Colby Sawyer College in New Hampshire in 1952. She was married in 1953. A lifelong activist and feminist, she was involved in the League of Women Voters in Pasadena, California, when her husband was at Caltech in graduate school and later on the faculty. When they relocated to New Jersey, she was active with the League as President of the Monmouth County unit, and as a volunteer with Planned Parenthood. She was also elected to the school board there, was appointed to the County Zoning and Planning Boards, and ran unsuccessfully for Mayor of Fair Haven, New Jersey. She was a constant presence in the local schools, working in the elementary library and tutoring French classes. In Albuquerque, she was past President of NARAL/NM Right to Choose, as well as a member of the Board of Directors, and worked as a volunteer at the thrift shop"Choice Stuff". Besides her activity outside the home, she was an avid reader, quilter, and dedicated homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Joe, an emeritus professor at UNM; her two children, Brian of Albuquerque and Kerry of Nashville; and two grandchildren, Teagan and Brianna. An informal memorial gathering is planned for her in Albuquerque at the Albuquerque Marriott from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., February 9, 2000. Friends and family are invited to come and share in the celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, any donations you choose to make to organizations she supported will be appreciated.

Myers -- Mary Elizabeth Hudson Myers, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Saturday, May 5, 2000. Parker -- Evelyn Beeson Parker, a longtime resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died quietly Saturday, February 5, 2000, at the Montebello Retirement Community. She was born on April 22, 1907 in Meridian, MI. She was the daughter of Dr. M.A. Beeson and Effie Harrison Beeson. She was a graduated of Oklahoma A&M College with degrees in Voice and Music Education. Evelyn married her college sweetheart, Robert Alexander Parker, on June 14, 1928. She was instrumental in founding the first"tuition kindergarten" supervised by the Ponca City Public Schools. She taught music at Liberty Elementary School from 1964 through 1972. Through 1987, she continued to serve as a substitute teacher in the Ponca City Public Schools. The First United Methodist Church played an important role in Evelyn Parker's life. She directed the junior girls Wesley Choir for many years. Evelyn and her husband, Bob, both sang in the church choir for over 40 years. Evelyn was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and the PEO Sisterhood. Evelyn Parker is survived by her sons, Alfred L. Parker and wife, Judy Wittmer Parker and James M. Parker and wife, Linda Hisey Parker, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Jane Parker Irwin and husband, Stanley Irwin of Greencastle, IN; five grandchildren, Kathryn Darwin and husband, Ben, Rob Parker and wife, Tammie, Todd Parker, Tyson Parker and Mark Irwin; and four great-grandchildren, Paige and Alex Darwin and Jamie and Jason Parker. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 10:30 a.m., at First United Methodist Church in Ponca City, OK. Perea -- Felix F. Perea, 66, passed away Friday, February 4, 2000 of heart failure. His sister and nieces were with him when he died. He was born January 29, 1934. A resident of Albuquerque, he was a Navy Veteran in the Korean War from 1953 to 1957, he then served in the Reserves until 1961. He was preceded in death by his father, Perfecto Perea in 1937; his mother, Emma Perea in 1975; his sister, Jenny Moya in 1975. He is survived by one sister, Josie Zamora, along with nieces, nephews family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be at St. Anne's Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2000 with Deacon Charles Lucero officiating. Memorial Mass at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday with Father John Shedlock officiating. Romero -- Carlota F. Romero, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Sunday, February 6, 2000. She is survived by her sons, Antonio Romero and Aaron Romero and wife, Fabby; daughters, Edna Martinez, all of Albuquerque and Ida Mooney and husband, Tom of Farmington; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, Gilbert Rendon and wife, Josie of Albuquerque; sister, Viola Roybal and husband, Tony of California; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Romero was born and raised in Dixon, NM. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital after 19 years. Mrs. Romero was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Sakiestewa -- Hazel Paisano Sakiestewa, 81, a lifelong resident of Paguate, NM, died Monday, February 7, 2000. She is survived by her sons, Glenn E. Trujillo and wife, Mary, Emmett Trujillo, both of Albuquerque; daughters, Orpha A. Scott and husband, Merle of Laguna and Maryan H. Denet of Paguate, NM; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held Thursday, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Byron Sarracino officiating. Smith -- Lillie Belle Smith was born October 13, 1926 in Cooper County, Boonville, MO, died February 5, 2000. She was the daughter of the late Henry Lee Pinkett and Nellie Dean (Boles) Pinkett. She joined New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she was an active member. She graduated from Charles Sumner High School in Boonville. She later married George M. Smith. There were no children born to this union. In 1955, she moved to Albuquerque. After moving to Albuquerque, she united in with Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. In March of 1959, she moved her membership to Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a founding and chartered member. She served in many auxiliaries and held many positions until her health prevented her from rendering service. She worked and retired from US West in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and four sisters. She leaves to mourn, a sister, Velma Taylor of Kansas City, MO; a nephew, Kenneth Leonard Pinkett, who was raised in her home; and many other nieces and nephews. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends, and her self adopted children, the Huelsmann children, Patricia French, Marita Ponder, Elmer Johnson and their children and grandchildren. Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2000, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. in Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 515 Ash SE, with Rev. Dennis G. Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park with Ken Holly, Randy Dillard, Larry Chapman, Anthony Onamole, Don Rhodes and Willie Burrell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Wilson, Elijah Corley, Fred Ward and Robert Shields. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
