Mrs. Brannon was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Brannon; and son, Cris Brannon. Brown -- Pauline Brown, 78, a resident of New Mexico since 1950 and of Albuquerque since 1957, passed away on Monday, July 26, 1999. Pauline was born May 15, 1921, the daughter of John and Pauline Keller Bareither in Snohomish, Washington. She had been a dental assistant until she retired. Pauline is survived by her husband, Glendon W. Brown of Albuquerque; sister, Bertha White of Albuquerque; niece, Arlene Rummel; and sister-in-law, Bertha Dietrich, both of Sacramento, CA; nephews, Ronald Reynolds of Albuquerque and David Shook of Grand Rapids, MI; sister-in-law, Georgia Shook of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, June Shafer of Orlando, FL. The service for Pauline will be held on Friday, July 30, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Rio Rancho, corner of Unser and Abrazo, with Pastor L.K. Hagen officiating. Interment will be at the National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Louis Lencioni, Lewis Moore, Robert D'Lamater, Ron Reynolds. Collier -- Ruthe M. Collier, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died peacefully Wednesday, July 28, 1999. She is survived by her beloved family, son, William P. Collier and wife, Melanie; daughter, Tracy S. Herrera and husband, Sam; and the joys and sunshine of her life, her grandchildren, Daniel Michael Herrera, Catherine Beth (Casey) Collier, and David William Herrera. Ruthe was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and the local Emmaus Community. She played semi professional softball and later coached numerous baseball and softball teams. Ruthe was a local business owner, a member of the Women Entrepreneurs, and was active in our community. Services will be held Sunday, August 1, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead SW, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield and Dr. E. Leonard Gillingham officiating. Cruz -- Gertrude Andrea Cruz, mother, grandmother, and beloved wife, left us for a better world Wednesday, July 28, 1999, following a short illness. Born in Roy, NM to parents, Eusebio and Isabel Maestas on May 4, 1932, she was a youthful 67 year old. Mrs. Cruz passed away surrounded by loving friends and family. She is survived by her husband, John R. Cruz Sr. of the family home; son, Delfin Elmer Medina and wife, Yolanda of Rio Rancho; son, William Joseph Medina and wife, Kelley of Los Lunas; daughter, Shirley Irene Gallegos and husband, Jimmy of Los Lunas; son, John R. Cruz Jr. and wife, Kristal of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Leroy, Esperanza, Raven, Mario, Priscilla, Maria, Jordan, Nicole, Isaiah, Tyler and Samuel; her mother, Isabel Maestas of Roy, NM; brothers, Frank Maestas and wife, Caroline of Roy, NM and Joe Maestas and wife, Rosanne of Avondale, CO; several sisters, Margaret Baca and husband, Charlie of Pueblo, CO, Priscilla Le Roux of Pueblo, CO, Martha Ebell and husband, Andres of Roy, NM, Tillie Cruz and husband, Pat of Albuquerque, and Mary Tapia and husband, Zeke of Taos; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention. Hall -- Ralph E. Hall, 69, a resident of Los Lunas, died on Tuesday, July 27, 1999, surrounded by family and friends. Born July 27, 1930 to Ralph M. and Hazel Hall, he was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. A former Safeway store manager and business owner, Ralph established Hall-Mart Grocery and co-founded Mountainview Meat Market. Later employed in the cash register business, Ralph was National Sales Manager for R.C. Allen Cash Register Company and went on to establish Cash Register Control Systems of Albuquerque. Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte, who he married in 1955 in Tucumari, New Mexico; sons, Ralph R. Hall, Denton, TX, Edward J. Hall, wife, Basha, Vashon, WA; daughters, Sandra Williams, husband, Allen, Tucson, AZ, Sherry Fannell, husband, Dan, Bent, NM; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sandra Carlson, Tucumcari, NM; nieces; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and cousin, Vincent Primrose, Albuquerque. Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Los Lunas. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held after services at the family residence, 1181 Mesa Loop, Los Lunas. Hippe -- Nell Louise Clayton Hippe passed away peacefully at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque on July 25, 1999. She was born on September 17, 1922, the daughter of the late Murphy and Effie Clayton of Bogahusa, Louisiana. Nell was a 1940 graduate of Bogalusa High School and went on to train as a nurse at the Sisters of Charity Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. She began her nursing career in Littlefield, Texas, spending her free time on a ranch in Fort Summer, New Mexico. She went on to Cooke County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois for further training as a nurse anesthetist before serving for nine months in the Navy during World War II. Nell was stationed in San Diego where she met and married her husband of 54 years, Ken Hippe (after only 3 dates) in July, 1945. Nell is survived by her husband, Kenneth; their four daughters and their spouses, Jane and Russ Reilly of Middlebury, VT, Barbara and Keith Mansfield and of Bosque Farms, Patti and Randy White of Albuquerque and Pamela and Paul Hendershott of Boulder, CO; and her ten grandchildren, Jennifer, Jody and Lindsay Reilly, Morgan, Lillie and Clayton Mansfield, Kate and Justin White and Melissa and Brad Hendershott. Nell is also survived by a sister, June Clayton of Franklinton, Louisiana. She was predeceased by a sister, Elaine Foil; and brother, Murphy Jay Clayton. Ken was a pilot for TWA for 32 years and during that time they lived in Kansas City, Kansas, Levittown, NY, Huntington, NY and Fairfield, CT. They retired to Albuquerque in 1978. Nell was active in the Cosmopolitan Club and was a devoted volunteer at various hospitals in the communities in which they lived. Those friends wishing to celebrate Nell's life may join the family at a memorial service to be held Saturday, July 31, 10:00 a.m., at All Saint's Lutheran Church, at Paseo del Norte on Coors. Lane -- Rebecca Ann Lane, 63, and born September 23, 1935 in Trinidad, CO, entered into the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ, on July 28, 1999 after battling a four week illness at UNM Hospital. She was a resident of Albuquerque for 26 years. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert E. Lane; two daughters, Vicki L. McClelland and husband, John L. of Phoenix, AZ and Traci L. Sanchez and husband, Kraig A. of Albuquerque; and son, Alan D. Hixon of Albuquerque. She is also survived by three beautiful grandchildren, Erica K. McClelland, Noah A. and Jenna Mari Sanchez, who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garner D. and Mabel L. Rucker. Becky will be remembered for her huge, unselfish heart and her great love for animals. She prided herself in being a loving wife, mother and grandmother (Nana). Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care, followed by inurnment at Fairview Cemetery. Marquez -- Florencio Marquez, 71, a beloved father, grandfather, companion, brother and friend, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 27, 1999 in Palm Springs, CA. Florencio was born in Marquez, NM; he was a well-known hair stylist and make-up artist for many years, established his shop on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, CA in April 1963; he quickly drew patrons from the motion picture and television industries; over the past 36 years his clientele included many male models, along with actors and business executives. Florencio, a former United States Marine, was a member of the Sierra Club and a long-time devoted member of the Miracle Mile Lions Club; an active hiker and horse rider. He is survived by his loving daughter, Loretta Nesting-Glass and husband, Robert Glass of Yuba City, CA; two precious grandsons, Wesley and Matthew Nesting; three brothers, Alex Marquez, Leo Marquez, both of Albuquerque, Toby Marquez of North Hollywood, CA; and two sisters, Virginia Chavez and husband, Paul of Albuquerque and Lolita LeBlanc and husband, Billy of Erath, LA; and a host of friends. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Nelson -- Irene Nelson, 70, a beloved mother and grandmother, was called home to be with her Lord early Thursday morning, July 29, 1999. She was a resident of Albuquerque; a dedicated Christian; and was retired after 42 years from AT & T. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nelson in 1979. Salyer -- Don C. Salyer Sr., 90, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on 27 July 1999. Don worked for many years in the wholesale distribution business for appliances. Savage -- Rev. Kenzy Kulman Savage, 87, a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1959, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Esther Savage of Albuquerque; daughters, Bobbie Jean Wheeler and husband, Floyd of Edgewood, Patsy Joyce Jenks and husband, Lyle of Rio Rancho; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Reverend Paul W. Savage and wife, Ruth of Albuquerque; and sister, Reverend Betty Lou Savage of Wichita Falls, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hulet Melton and Anna Mae Savage; and one sister, Ora Bell Joyner. Reverend Savage began preaching in August of 1928 and retired in August of 1993. He had been a Pastor in Alvord and San Antonio, TX, as well as in Mountainair, Belen, and Santa Fe, NM. Reverend Savage was a member of Aposento Alto/Praise Chapel of Albuquerque. He was active in the Latin American District Council of the Assemblies of God serving as Official Evangelist in New Mexico, Secretary, Presbyter, Conference Supt/District Missionary to Cuba, and Supt Latin American Bible Institute. He also served in the Central Latin American District as Secretary, Mission Director, Royal Ranger Commander and Superintendent. He was a member of the General Presbytery of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, and now Honorary General Presbyter of the same. Memorial services will be held Monday, August 2, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at the Aposento Alto/Praise Chapel, 2501 Alamogordo, NW, and funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at the Aposento Alto/Praise Chapel, 2501 Alamogordo NW, with District Superintendent Rev. Torres -- Mr. Salome C. Torres died Wednesday in Albuquerque at the age of 54. Mr. Torres was a Catholic Church member. He touched many people's lives and will be remembered as being very kind, loving and generous. Mr. Torres was preceded in death by his son, Leonard Sandoval. Survivors include his wife, Ramona Watson; sons, Norman Lee Watson, 31, Albuquerque, Evan Loy Watson, 1, Kayenta, AZ; daughters, Stephanie Leigh Watson, 28, Las Vegas, NV, Valerie Lynn Watson-Rickerson, 29 and her husband, Kevin, El Paso, TX; brothers, Charles E. (Betty) Watson, Las Cruces, NM, Joe H. (Wanda) Watson, Houston, TX; step-children, Donny Blackhorse, Clifton Francis, Charlene Francis and Chris Francis.
