Mr. Salome C. Torres died Wednesday in Albuquerque at the age of 54. Mr. Torres was a Catholic Church member. He touched many people's lives and will be remembered as being very kind, loving and generous. Mr. Torres was preceded in death by his son, Leonard Sandoval. He is survived by his sons, Vicente Torres of Albuquerque and Raymond Sandoval of Colorado; daughter, Charlotte Torres-Chavez of Albuquerque; brothers, Jerry Torres, Nestor Torres and wife, Alice, Robert Torres and wife, Jackie and Randy Torres, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Patsy Mora and husband, Adam, Stephanie Griego, Mable Martinez and husband, Frank, Lucy Torres, all of Albuquerque, and Sylvia Chavez and husband, Tony of Emeryville, CA; and grandchildren, Cecilia, Leonard, Gilbert, Corina, Stephanie, Raymond Jr., Desirey and Norman. Funeral services for Mr. Torres will be held on Saturday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will take place following the Funeral Mass. A Memorial Mass and burial of the cremains will take place in Chilili, NM, time and place will be announced at a later time. Pallbearers will be Jerry Torres, Nestor Torres, Robert Torres, Randy Torres, Fernando Torres, and Randy Torres Jr., Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Sandoval, Vincent Baca, Gilbert Chavez and Larry Martinez. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW.
