Connerley -- David (Dave) Blaine Connerley, 29, a resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Connerley; son, Kevin Blaine; daughter, Taylor Noel; parents, Blaine and Barbara Connerley of Albuquerque; sisters, Melinda Adamchek and husband, Paul of Rio Rancho and Michelle Houston and husband, Jim of Phoenix, AZ; maternal grandmother, Louise Noel of Albuquerque; grandmother-in-law, Gerry Martin of Los Lunas; mother and father-in-law, James and Carlene Stone of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Heather Monts De Oca of Albuquerque; and niece, Jacqulene Monts De Oca of Albuquerque. Henson -- Ann Henson, 56, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died Thursday, October 1, 1998. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jim Henson of Albuquerque; daughters, Pam Folkner and husband, John and Kelly Abdalla and husband, Chris, all of Albuquerque; grandson, Jack Folkner; and sisters, Judy Valentine of The Woodlands, TX and Jane Collum of San Antonio, TX. Jansak -- Eugene Jansak, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, September 30, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Anne Christine Jansak of Albuquerque; daughter, Jan Diane Jansak of Albuquerque; son, Eugene Peter Jansak, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Longmont, CO; grandson, John Mark Bassist and spouse, Heather Jones of Jemez, NM; granddaughter, Joy Anne Bassist of Lakewood, CO; great-grandsons, David and Bryan Archell, both of Lakewood, CO; and brother, Paul Jansak and wife, Jane of Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Jansak arrived from Czechoslovakia at age 14. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Pennsylvania. During his career he was very active in politics in New Jersey. He retired in 1984 from a career as an engineering designer. Eugene provided photography instruction to seniors at the Palo Duro Senior Center and was an active volunteer in their activities, especially with the Intergenational Program and the Triad Program. Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Father Paul Baca officiating. The family invites friends to a reception to be held after services from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place Tuesday, October 6, 1998 at Highland Cemetery in Thornton, CO. Jones -- T. Sgt. Wayne R. Jones, 42, was killed in a parachuting accident on Sunday, September 27, 1998, near Nellis, AFB, NV. He is survived by his wife, Jean of the family home; children, Jessica, Mali, Aaron, and Charles of the family home, and Jason of Destin, FL; mother, Marion Jones; and brother, Glenn Jones and wife, Rhonda, all of Parkersburg, WV. TSgt. Jones was the NCOIC of the Air Operations phase of the 342 TRS, Det. I Pararescue school here at Kirtland Air Force Base. He had been the instructor at the Parajump school for the last four years and was scheduled to retire from the Air Force in May of 1999. TSgt. Jones was from Kearny, NJ. He entered the US Air Force on August 6, 1978 and was a pararescue man for his entire career. He was a veteran of Desert Storm withy over 1,000 flight hours and 502 parachute jumps. He was heavily involved in recovering space hardware during"To Catch a Falling Star" missions while stationed in Hickham AFB, HI in the early eighties. He was qualified as a NASA space shuttle recovery specialist, specializing in RAMZ (Rapid Alternate Method Zodiac) techniques and procedures while stationed at Eglin AFB in the late eighties. TSgt. Jones was credited with over 20"saves" during operational missions throughout his career. His assignments also included Osan A.F.B., Republic of Korea, and Eglin, and Hurlburt A.F.B.'s. Arrangements for services, military escorts, and casket bearers have been provided by fellow members of Wayne's U.S. Air Force Pararescue Unit. Services will be held Monday, October 5, 1998, 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway Blvd. NE, with Chaplain Earl G. Sprague, Chaplain Jeff Jones, and Rev. Ray Gillespie officiating. Interment will take place Monday, 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, Sunday, October 4, 1998, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Although Wayne has accomplished many things in his life, undoubtably his relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ, was paramount. The love os his life was his bride, Jean. Not only was he a husband, but a friend. He cherished her and loved her with an everlasting love. He was a loving daddy and friend to his children as well. He delighted in his fatherhood. To his friends, he was a mentor, an example, an encourager, and a joy. Our comfort is that our Wayne is now in the presence of his Lord."Thank you Mr. Wayne". Ledoux -- Arthur"Archie", 70, died September 29, 1998. He was a lifelong resident of Wagon Mound, NM, a veteran of WWII, and a member of The American Legion. Messina of San Francisco, CA; granddaughters, Elizabeth Messina of Santa Barbara, CA, Jennifer Sayre and husband, William of Durham, NC, Victoria"Tory" A. Messina of Villanova, PA, Marianne Messina and Camille Messina, both of San Francisco, CA; grandsons, Christopher A. Messina and wife, Bethany of Portland, OR, David A. Messina of Washington, DC and Giancarlo A. Messina of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Mykela Messina of Santa Barbara, CA and William J. Moya -- Julia S. Moya, a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, September 30. She left this life as she lived it-surrounded by her children. Julia was the wife of the late Abelicio Moya and the beloved mother of one son, Tony Moya and his wife, Cecilia; eight daughters, Isabel Gonzales and husband, Filimon, Lena Archibeque and husband, Jerry, Netti Griego, Gloria Dominguez and husband, Roger, Esther Archibeque and husband, Johnny, Laura Moya, Sandra Lucero and husband, Jose (Henry), Kathy Rivera and husband, Donald. She is also survived by one sister, Ramona M. Mora; three sisters-in-law, Lucy Baca, Lucaria Moya and Emilia Moya; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, with Robb Sisneros reciting. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Murphy -- Sandra Kay Burton-Murphy died Friday, September 11, 1998 at Mendocino Coast District Hospital. She was 46. Born March 19, 1952 in Albuquerque. She lived in Albuquerque through her mid-school years. Since then she had lived in Alamo, California, San Francisco and Eureka, California, prior to making her home in Ft. Bragg, California 15 years ago. She worked for the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. She was a teachers aide for the Ft. Bragg Unified School District, and did computer drafting for Architect, Paul Douglas, in Mendocino, California, and most recently, was the Administrative Assistant for the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. Sandra was an avid lover of flowers and plants, and was active with the Mendocino Coast Branch of the American Fushia Society, life member of the Mendocino Coast Branch Gardens, and active with Friends of the Botanical Gardens. She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Robin; son, Ryan; parents, Robert and Flora Burton; sister, Karen Burton-Lind of Pleasonton, CA. A memorial services was held at her church, The Chapel of the Redwoods, in Comptche, CA on September 20th. Myrick -- William Hayley Myrick, 75, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 1998. Hayley served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving the Distinguished Purple Heart. He was a member of the D.A.V., the American Legion Post 0049 in Albuquerque, NM, the Scottish Rite, and the Masons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Belle Elizabeth Myrick in 1997. Hayley is survived by his many loving nieces and nephews and their spouses and children. Viewing will take place on Friday, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held okn Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memory Gardens in Albuquerque. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Neun -- Christine L. Neun, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, October 1, 1998. She is survived by her husband, George Neun of the family home; daughters, Mary Stiles and husband, John of Albuquerque, Linda Eitzen and husband, Richard of Albuquerque and Georgia Simpson and husband, James of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Dr. Trey Stiles, Kelly Stiles and Michael Simpson. She was born on May 25, 1920 in Denver, CO, where she married George Neun on June 15, 1941. They moved to Albuquerque in 1949 and lived in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands for almost ten years, but kept their home in Albuquerque during that time. She enjoyed many years of sewing, painting and embroidery as a member of Embroidery Guild of America. Memorial services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Rev. Patrick Pollard officiating.

Ortiz -- Mr. John Ortiz, age 71, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 1998 following a four month battle with cancer. Mr. Ortiz was a member of the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Born in Santa Fe, NM on February 11, 1927, he was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. John was retired from Borden's, where he worked for over 30 years. John is survived by his beloved wife, Elsie Chavez de Ortiz. He was the father of sons, John Ortiz, Jr., Robert Ortiz; and daughter, Roberta Ortiz, step-daughters, Eleanor Sanchez and Margaret Chavez; the grandfather of nine grandchildren, Rudy, Annette, Kelly and Ray Keith, Paul, Michael and Wendy Sanchez and Nora and Katherine Ortiz; and he had six great-grandchildren. John was an active member of the Elks Club, VFW (40) and American Legion (99). He will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary for Mr. Ortiz will be recited on Sunday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Salazar and Sons Mortuary. Funeral services for Mr. Ortiz will be held on Monday at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town Albuquerque, where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. John will be buried at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Pallbearers will be Rudy Keith, Ray Keith, Paul Sanchez, Michael Sanchez, Ray Sanchez and Kelly Keith. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendy Sanchez and Henry Zazary. Sahd -- Services for Joseph Sahd, 69, of Troup, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4, at the Troup Church of Christ with Percy A. Parrish and Richard Fedell officiating. Burial will be in the Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Mr. Sahd died Thursday, October 1, at his residence. He was born October 2, 1928 in Cerrillos, New Mexico to Fitty and Clara Merhege Sahd. He was a longtime resident of Cerrillos, moving to Brownwood for three years prior to moving to Troup in April. Mr. Sahd was a graduate of the University of New Mexico and the College of Santa Fe. Fluent in five languages, Mr. Sahd was an English Professor at the Albuquerque Technical Institute for 30 years. Mr. Sahd was a Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Sahd, Troup; two sons, Michael Sahd and Tony Ely Sahd, both of Troup; a daughter, Katherine Sahd, Troup; five step-sons and three step-daughters-in-law, James and Tana Stark and Nathan and Missy Stark, all of Troup, Mark D. and Judy Stark of Virginia Beach, VA, Rue L. Terpening and Al Terpening, both of Brownwood; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gabriel and Doris Sahd, Lawrence Sahd and Floyd and Nora Sahd, all of Albuquerque; and seven step-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael C. Sahd, Anthony E. Sahd, James (Samuel) Stark, Danny Moore, James R. Stark, and Nathan A. Stark. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday evening.

Vanzura -- Max J. Vanzura, age 71, passed away October 1, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Clara Mae Vanzura; sons, Eric Vanzura and wife, Erin of Utica, NY, Cedric Vanzura and wife, Liz of Orchard Lake, MI; daughter Yalani Vanzura Light and husband, Michael of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Danielle Vanzura and Crystal Hensley; and one sister, Marie Lewis of Houston, TX.
