Sanchez -- Mr. Joe Nieves (Snowy) Sanchez, 81, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 24, 2001. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Dora Sanchez and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Mr. Sanchez was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He fought in the Pacific. He was a member of the D.A.V. Cutting-Garcia Chapter # 3. He made his home with Johnny and Charlotte Ronquillo. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with viewing after 6:30 p.m. Gabriella Nieto, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father Daniel Balizan, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Ronquillo, Richard Ronquillo, Pete Auh, Patrick Amador, Tino Ortega and John Michael Ronquillo. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
