Lee -- Charles J. "Chuck" Lee, formerly a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at his home in Clovis, NM on July 13, 2001. Remembering Chuck with great fondness are friends and family including his wife, Lena of Clovis; his mother, Violet Miller of Cortez, CO; his brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Linda Lee of Longmont, CO; mother of his sons, Treva Lee of Albuquerque; his son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Janie Lee of Grapevine, TX, his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Nancy Lee of Albuquerque; his daughter, Amy Parker of San Jon, NM; and his grandson, Chris Lee and wife, Natalie of California. Chuck touched the lives of many other relatives, friends, and coworkers. Chuck was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 24, 1931 to Benjamin and Violet Anna Unland Lee and the family later moved to New Mexico. Chuck excelled in high school football at McCurdy Mission in Espanola, NM where he was selected All Conference, All State, and earned a university scholarship. His love for the game of football was his lifelong passion and Dallas Cowboys championships were among his happiest moments. Chuck served in the United States Army and enjoyed associations with the Elks Club, the Kiwanis Club, the Quarterbacks Club and the Cortez Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Chuck's employment as an office manager in road construction took him many places in New Mexico and Colorado. Chuck wished to make his family and friends happy and comfortable. He was quick to make us feel an important part of his life. We will happily carry his memory in our hearts. A Memorial Service in Chuck's honor was held in Clovis on July 17, 2001.
