Gabaldon -- Justo Gabaldon, 90, a lifelong resident of Belen, passed away on July 21, 2001. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Ramona Gabaldon; six children Alex Gabaldon and wife, Mary Alice of Belen, Leo Gabaldon and wife, Annabelle of Belen, Joe Gabaldon and wife, Pat of Florida, Gilbert Gabaldon and wife, Mary Alice of Oregon, Mary Jane Gillette and husband, Floyd of Ribera, NM, Roseann Castillo and husband, Ralph of Belen; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Stella Aragon and Louisa Ford; brother, Pat Gabaldon; sister-in-law, Tita Gabaldon; many nieces and nephews, other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Mr. Gabaldon taught in Grants, Seboyeta, and Casa Colorada before becoming a businessman. He owned and operated Justo's Grocery store in Belen and was able to retire in 1979. He served on the Belen School Board for two six year terms. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing and gardening. Mr. Gabaldon was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen with a visitation to be held from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday July 22, 2001 with Rosary following. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 a.m., Monday July 23, 2001 with Father Gallegos as celebrant. Pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren.
