Newman -- Lloyd T. Newman, 68, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past ten years, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2001. Lloyd was born November 29, 1932 the son of Pike and Ruth Dempsey Newman in Bowling Green, Missouri. He drove for the Yellow Freight Truck Company before retiring. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Lloyd is survived by his wife Miriam of Rio Rancho, two sons, Brent Newman of Albuquerque and Lance Newman of Bakersfield, CA., and one granddqughter, Kiera Newman. A Visitation for Lloyd will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2001 from 9:00 a.m. until Noon in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln, Rio Rancho. No additional services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, P.O. Box 26666, Albuquerque, NM 87125. Please specify that they are to go to the Kaseman Hospice In-patient Unit. If you wish the family to know you sent a contribution, let the Foundation know and they will send an acknowledgement.
