Duran -- Audelia Duran, 84, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Wednesday, October 31, 2001, while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Duran was born in Gallina, NM to the late Juan and Francisquita Jacquez.; she was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba. She was preceded in death by two infant sons; two brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 65 years, Rafael Duran; four daughters, Emma Dominguez of Rio Rancho, Jennie Chapman and husband, Bill of Phoenix, AZ, Cecilia Duarte and husband, Jose of Los Lunas, NM, Fabiola Morales and husband, Clarence of Cuba, NM; five sons, Anselmo Duran and wife, Flora, Ralph Duran and wife, Jessie, Julian Duran and wife, Yolie of Cuba, NM, Rick Duran and wife, Terry of Lindrith, NM, and Gilbert Duran and wife, Sharon of Bernalillo, NM; 23 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Also surviving are, two brothers, Timoteo Jacquez of Albuquerque, Eliseo Jacquez and wife, Eufemia of Gallina, NM; three sisters, Pablita Sanchez, Bertha Arellano and husband, Jake of Gallina, and Lucy Casaus of Cuba, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitations will be today from 4:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM; with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12:00 noon also at the church. Interment will follow at the Cuba Catholic Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Gerald Garcia, Anthony Maestas, Kevin Duran, Paul Chapman, Greg Martin, Frank Duarte, Alfred Duran, and Brian Duran. Honorary bearers will be all her precious grandchildren. Funeral services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW.
