Paul -- Lt. Col. Richard B. Paul, Ret. died Tuesday, October 9, 2001 in Cedar Crest, NM at the age of 83. He served in the United States Army Air Corps as a navigator during World War II. He was also a devoted Boy Scout Leader for 38 years. Up until the last few years, he was very active in First Congregational Church. He was also a member of the Search and Rescue Team. Dick was a 1941 graduate of Dartmouth College and before that attended Roxbury Latin School. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline J. Paul; his children, Linda Paul, Bob Paul and wife, Diane, Patty Shaffer and husband, Jason, Rick Paul and wife, Karla, Vicki Johnson, Bambi Queen, Rhonda Queen, Angel Sanchez and husband, Daniel, Ronald B. Queen, Sally Queen, Judy Johnson, Becky Gainous and Brenda Blasko; his grandchildren, Nathanael Paul, Jacqueline Paul, Justin Paul, Allie Shaffer, Jarrett Shaffer, Alanna Paul, Fred Ogle, Amanda Ogle, Ashley Sanchez, Sabrina Aragon, Jeff Johnson and Ginger Johnson; and his great-grandaughter, Amaya Ogle. Viewing will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2001 at Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. Services are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2001 in Chapel of Sandia. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
