Henley -- Roy Evans Henley, 100, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2001 in Albuquerque. He was born in Batesville, AR May 8, 1901. Mr. Henley was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie; son, Roy E. Henley, Jr.; and grandson, David Kent McDonald. He is survived by his son, William Henley and wife, Betty of Greenville, CA; daughters, Dorothy Church and husband, Glen of Irvine, CA and Nancy McDonald and husband, Lawrence of Albuquerque; four grandchildren; and many friends. Roy traveled a great deal in his business as a salesman, and did not retire until his late 70s. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and gardening. Roy loved the Lord. He was a member of Taylor Ranch Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
