Stevens -- Loyola Stevens, 63, who loved the Lord with all his heart, beloved husband of 43 years to Lucy Stevens, was called home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2001. He is survived by his mother, Chonita Martinez; six children, Debbie Worrell and husband, Aaron, Tina Martinez and husband, Jose, Lawrence Stevens and fiancé, Kim; Emily Monroe and husband, Derek, Daniel Stevens and Renae Stevens; two brothers, Donicio Martinez, Jr. and wife, Margaret, Adolph Martinez and wife, Lorraine; five sisters, Lia Stevens, Jeanette Duran, Lugie Romo and husband, Rick, Vicentita Gutierrez and husband, James, Theresa Romero and husband, Eusebio; uncle, Onofre Stevens and wife, Sally; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Loyola was a member of Temple Baptist Church where he served with great joy in the Bus Ministry, seeing many lives come to the Lord. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held Sunday, August 12, at 3:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona St. NE. with Pastor J. Curtis Goldman officiating.
