Armstrong -- Ruth Armstrong, a 50 year resident of Carrizozo, NM, passed away January 4, 2001, in Albuquerque. Ruth was born to Belva Boyett Kingery and John Martin Kingery in Matador, TX, on March 21, 1917. She was preceded in death by her husband, Welcolm Armstrong. She is survived by her sisters, Ruby Goates of Odessa, TX, Lorene Sands of Plainview, TX, Dorothy Powell of Midland, TX and Betty Martin of Lubbock, TX; son, John Armstrong of Santa Fe; grandsons, John, Jr, of Washington, DC, and Demain of Copper Mountain, CO; son, Dan Armstrong, his wife, Glenda; grandson, Daniel; granddaughters, Sarah and Amanda, all of Albuquerque and granddaughter Krista of New York City; son, Gary Armstrong, his wife, Julie; granddaughters, Holly, Kaitlin and Erin all of Albuquerque; daughter, Virginia (Ginger) Morrison; and grandson, Shane of Albuquerque. Services will be at First Baptist Church in Carrizozo, NM, at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2001. Interment following at White Oaks, NM.
