Acosta -- Mary Irene Gallegos Acosta, 43, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt was called home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 6, 2001. Mary was a resident of Rio Rancho, formerly of Alameda, she was born on November 7, 1958 to the late George and Rebecca Gallegos; and was a graduate of Cibola High School. Mary is survived by her loving children, Lynette Acosta, Leroy Acosta Jr., Sarha Acosta, Nathan Acosta; one precious grandchild, Morgan Acosta; and former husband, Leroy Acosta. Also surviving are three brothers, George Gallegos, Patrick Gallegos, Daniel Gallegos ; six sisters, Virginia Lantis, Margaret Gallegos, Gloria Martinez and husband Felix, Jane Rincon and husband Julian, Carmen Joe and husband Don, Dorothy Mendez and husband Anthony; nephews and nieces, Fred, Michelle, Michael Saiz, Cristopher, Cristella Garcia, Max, Anthony, Augustine, Becky, Adam, and Paul Gallegos, Elizabeth, Amy Rincon, Angelo, Joseph, Catherine, Martine Gallegos, Michael, Nichole, Alex, Joe, Baby Mendez, Magdelene, Sabrina, Lawrence, Damien Gallegos. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and those who knew and loved her. A rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 1:00 p.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Fred Saiz, Max Gallegos, Angelo Gallegos, Paul Gallegos, Danny Gallegos, Adam Gallegos, Joseph Gallegos and Anthony Mendez. Funeral Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW.
