Scanland -- Rose A. Scanland entered into rest February 22, 2003 in Albuquerque, NM. Rose was born July 7, 1906 in Seattle, Washington. She married Hugh A. Meachman on June 11, 1923. He passed away October 23, 1948, as result of a logging accident. She married Gordon M. Scanland, July 2, 1951. He passed away September 1, 1977, as result of cancer. She is survived by nine children, Hazel Slater of Baker City, Oregon, Donna (Clayton) of Albuquerque, Richard Meacham of Eastside, Oregon, Sharon Roth (Bob) of Sweet Home, Oregon, Ronald Meacham (Vivian) of New Plymouth, Idaho, Judith Walters of Sweet Home, Oregon, Gail Toedtemeir (Jerry) of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Leonard Meacham (Pam) of Twin Falls, Idaho, Marsha Seiber (Alvin) of Sweet Home, Oregon. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Robert Foley; son-in-law, Clair McIntyre of Sweet Home; nephew, Jess Meacham (Betty) of Sweet Home; and 32 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters, Dorothy, Jeanette and Bonnie and by sons, Hugh Jr. (Tuffy) and Bruce. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 8904 Menaul Blvd. NE. At her request she was cremated under the direction of Sunrise Funeral Options. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
