Leyva -- Pedro"Pete" Leyva, age 62 of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Friday, February 14, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents,"Inocente and Ester Leyva and by a brother, Porfirio"Porky" Leyva. Pete was born on August 31, 1940 in Carlsbad, NM to Inocente and Ester Leyva. At the time of his death Richardson and Richardson Construction Company employed him as an estimator. His wife, Helen Leyva of Albuquerque, NM survives him as well as five children, Albert Leyva of Lubbock, TX, Anthony Leyva and wife, Tanisha Robinson-Leyva of Albuquerque, NM, Alan Leyva of Albuquerque, NM, Aaron Leyva of Washington state, and Ana Lyeva of Austin, TX; one grandchild, Taran Robinson-Leyva of Albuquerque, NM; three sisters, Tavita Cedra of Carlsbad, NM, Silveria Navarrette of Carlsbad, NM, Angelita Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM and one brother, Dalbert Leyva and wife, Sylvia Leyva of Madisonville, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also survive him. A memorial service will be held in Albuquerque on Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at The Holy Family Church, 550 Atrisco Dr. SW, with Father Manuel presiding. A mass will be held in Carlsbad, NM on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church.
