Mackey -- Joseph Lee Mackey, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, January 16, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pauline Mackey; daughters, Margie Mackey, of Veguita, NM and Kathryn Martin and husband, Thomas of Belton, TX; sons, Joseph L. Mackey (Charlie) and wife, Deanna and George R. Mackey and wife, Cyndee, all of Veguita; three grandchildren, Denette Withrow and husband John, Daniel Upshaw and wife Susan, and Walter Martin; and three great-grandchildren. Joseph was born on January 12, 1918 in Parsons, Kansas and moved to Albuquerque in 1939. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and was a WWII Veteran. Joseph retired from civil service at Kirtland Air Force Base. He loved to sing gospel music. Services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Andy Husted and Pastor Timothy Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Randy Holman, Dave Nicholson, Lewis Luna, Mike Chavez, Vern Armstrong, David Carmichael, Albert Raboni and Mitch Mitchell.
